What makes him even more amazing is that he had an arts degree. Not even a science background initially before embarking to med school. Super inspiring. I too, have an arts degree. To all those studying for their MCAT right now, all the best!🎉
Arts degree is not easy to study
@@ironchariot601 they aren't talking about the difficulty, they're talking about how medicine needs prereq knowledge so that med school becomes easier (say, pursuing a biology degree to make med school easier). an art background would mean that they'd have to spend a lot more extra effort than their science degree counterparts
Everyone who try arts study are good guys
The beauty in that, is that he likely has better connection, awareness, of the patient and their experiences…because most arts take R brain dominance, and much medicine takes L brain dominance. The most well rounded people (surgeons included 😊) are a rare blend of the integration of both.
@@v2-ek2vlas someone who has studied both arts and sciences... art and science aren't all that different really. They are commonly depicted as 'opposites' when really most scientists i know are also some of the most artistic people i know (me also being one). Biology (nature, anatomy, you get the gist...) is very important and artists study them extensively... albiet without much consideration for the functionality of it all

The dream words most of us will never get to say.
@tyvek05 not unless u have depression and have nothing in ur life 😒💔
I'm a pilot. So I can say it.
MoMo_ Beatz Then know that you’re much stronger than most to be able to live through depression. That in itself is a tougher battle than that on the battlefield or in the operating room. To crawl out of bed everyday, to admit you’re not feeling yourself, to question your hope, but then to look up and pray to God, or speak to your soul, or the universe (the truth is in all of these together) - that in itself is proof that you won’t be depressed forever. I can’t tell you to believe in God - that is up to you - but as someone who has been living with mental illness, I encourage you to find hope in something or someone, and to realize that you’ve been entrusted with a battle that is only there to strengthen you, not to torture or destroy you. Just wanted to let you know that you have my respect. Depression is harder than any career, but if you couldn’t defy it, it wouldn’t have come to you. Wishing you peace and strength.
@tyvek05 you are lucky. My dream is to become a videogame streamer and entertain alot of people that way I could make a living off it but unfortunately it's not a career just a dream so I'll settle for more realistic goals like a construction worker.
@tyvek05 Not everyone has the privilege to start a new life because they're bored, disabilities, health, economy, taking care of someone else... Most people simply cannot leave everything behind and that's why op is right, most of us will never be able to say those words
