I love my GX CS4 compressor. I've had since it first came out and have had zero problems.
Thanks for sharing your experience with the GX CS4!
I've been looking at these for a while, but have been waiting for a credible review. Thank you.
They are called alligator clips but I like lobster claws better! I got the
GX PUMP PCP Air Compressor CS1-I with Built-in Power Apdater ,Auto Stop, Oil & Water-Free,4500Psi/30Mpa, This is my entry into the pcp word. I am fortunate I have had no leaks and just fun sending pellets down range. You did a really fun, clear, and very informative video. Thank you very much! AIR GUNNERS UNITE!
Thanks for the kind words. Lobster is what came to my mind since I eat more Lobster than alligator. Thanks for the help.
Love my GX CS4 compressor! It's a workhorse for sure.🎉😊
WOW DUDE ITS BEEN A MINUTE I HEARD FROM OR SAW YOU , GLAD TO SEE YOU ARE STILL AROUND , I AM HEAVILY INTO LESS LETHAL STUFF NOW GOING ON 3 YEARS , SEEMS SO FUNNY I FEEL I INVENTED LESS LETHAL ABOUT 40 YEARS AGO !!! LOL !!! .
I have the GX CS4i, I love it, been filling all my bottles for a year now, haven had no issues what so ever!!!!
Thank you for the advice, especially the check valve that I didn't know about!
I'm trying to make a decision on a compressor currently and this one is in the forefront...
I have one and its been great. Not a single problem and its really quiet. After some years strugling with young heng clones this was a really breath of fresh air. It does everything I need, even fills my GK1 up to the 5000PSI max, something almost no other regular compressor can do. If you check the usual airgun foruns there are multiple people with more the a hundred hours on these without a problem, only the normal maintenence. It'll take me years to use 100hr of this.
The only thing missing from your review is the visual explanation of how to check the grease level and to check if the rubber seal on the bottom of the grease pot is in place to put it back. For me there is only a big downside to the design, it really needs a hour meter. I ended up buying a meter from amazon (a runleader) that works from vibration and just stick it to the compressor.
Thanks, I'm trying to make a decision and I think this is the one.
Great advice on the check valve, I wasn't aware of it.. thanks!
Great review. Huben owners will love this.
Awesome video buddy! I absolutely love those gx4’s I have two of them.
Also have 2 of the big boy gx k2s I had the k1 for a hot minute but sent it back, and got another k2.
My second k2 is still in the box, my first k1 still hasn’t had a single hiccup. Fills scba tanks in a hurry!! Currently have 24hours on it and still running strong!
Thank you! thanks for the info on the K2
Yes its been a full year or 2 many americans on internet use it and everyone is happy keeping hard earned money in the pocket and in the same have this to comfortably pump your tanks to 300 bar or more without brake the bank and without noise and smell and leaking and spilling water buckets and hoses getting out of the water bucket ,slolow your wooden floor like those tuxing compressors they were discusting. I have the 2 piston version gx 5k2 just to be sure it will last but is the same as this one. happy pumping for 6 months 2 times per month no issues.
I just picked one of these up with the converter for my Huben GK-1, I don't mind having the converter though. I meant to get the integrated but ordered this one by accident, so I kept it. These are very good compressors.
Not a bad idea to have the external power supply version. After 18 months my power supply died on my GX CS3
For only $50 I was able to purchase a new one on Amazon. My gxs 3 gets used extensively so after 18 months I wasn't upset that it died. I use my CS3 to fill up my 700 CC bottle twice a day everyday to 300 bar
Thanks for sharing! I was looking for the fittings to connect to the Scott air tanks. I just bought the stinky noisy compressor and am hoping it will last me a while. It would have been nice if you could have added the fitting sources in the description, I don't know how to do that so it's easy for me to say that. I took screen shots and will go to the sites and purchase the check valves and adaptors. Thanks again this save me a lot of searching and painful thinking!
Nice review, Bill at Target Forge (RUclips channel) has videos on most of the GX pumps and is the USA parts dealer for GX. Anyone interested in GX pumps would do well to watch Bill's videos.
Love mine.
Flawless 😅
Hi Steve! Great video....
Thank You!
I would rather have the non-integrated models...
I have had a GX CS3 for 18 months. It fills a 700 CC bottle every single day twice a day. My CS3 gets used A LOT. Recently the power supply crapped out. I was able to replace it for only 50 USD. If I had the integrated version I would have had to open up the compressor and possibly do some soldering and other work. I shoot every single day here in Southwest Florida and my GX CS3 has been a complete workhorse for me. I have purchased a large filter like you but so far so good on my end other than the power supply.
Good Point. Hopefully the integrated model will allow the replacement of the power converter.
Two things: 1: I noticed in the video you equalized before opening the tank. Is that necessary if you have a check valve on your bottles fill adapter? I am guessing not but just want to ask. 2: How long does it take to fill a 74 cubic foot from 0 psi?
I might consider this. I'm currently running a pancake compressor hooked to my Shoebox and my compressor is loud.
How long can you leave air in your scuba air tanks without them going bad?
And getting parts! Yeah right! Good luck. Been airgunning 65+ years and the Young Heng has need more reliable, fills very fast and has to be replaced maybe every 5-8 years
Someone posted that Target Forge makes parts but I have not looked yet.
What about using the moisture separator that doesn't take media that you've shown in the past?
Yes, Charcoal and molecular sieve.
@AirVelocitySport I'm talking about the one that you drain the water out on the bottom with the valve.
good day
Hi Steve, I have a Nova Liberty that will not hold air and it need a new poppet, does Duy still make them or do you know where I can get one? I enjoy your videos and love my Nova, want to get it back up and shooting. Thanks, please get back to me.
Not sure as I have not been i contact with DUY for a while now. I would check the forums if he is still doing it.
@@AirVelocitySport Thanks, will check.
You mentioned using the pump to top off your tank, in an hour, have you used the pump to fill an empty tank? How long would that take? Can this compressor do that?
No, I would not recommend using this to fill an 88 cu/ft tank from zero as it would probably take 3 hours. at least that's my guess. if you have no other alternative then sure.
Instead of just distilled water, use an additive like water wetter or just plain old antifreeze and it’s not gonna have rust residue when you go to change it
How Hight can you pump up a Yong Hang compressor before you blow the burst disk, I am asking this because I got a Brocock Atomic - 22 and it pumps up to 300 bar ? Thank you Bruce
300 bar is about 4325 psi 310 bar is 4500 psi. no problem for the Yong Heng.
Could I ask you a favor?
This new compressor has me wanting to dive into this hobby.
Would you be willing to put together a list of the minimum things you would buy if you were just getting started.
I'd like a gun with enough power to kill a coyote but under 6lbs so i could operate with one hand if necessary. Affiliate links preferred.
Do they make a gun that will support multiple bullets to simulate a shot gun?
Thanks for keeping us informed.
98 0r 75 cu ft air tank. CF and rated 4500 PSI of course. Compressor, this , or another, your decision. Quality metric and standard hex key set. Ballistol, patchworm kit, Torx screwdriver set.
Yes, what Rangur1 said plus an airgun capable of producing enough energy required to take a coyote. (my guess .25 cal with 75 FT/LBs at 50 yards). You may want to check the forums to see what energy people recommend to take coyote.
I bought one on Amazon and didn’t get the extended warranty. Yes it to fill my FX Panthera and Dynamic airguns. Don’t shoot much maybe 400 rounds through the 30. The first one developed a leak after a couple months and haven’t been able to fix. So bought another thinking I got a dud and I would fix it later. After about filling the airguns about 15-20 times if that, it to has stop fill pas 250 bar or sometimes 200. Went through and checked all the rings. Thought I got the extended warranty. But when buying on affirm it gets kicked out. Now out 2 compressors
That sucks! Not good news for GX PUMP. That's why they need to offer parts to fix them if they want people to buy them
Does this compressor also require 20 amps? Is there a label on the unit giving that info?
no 15amps worked for me
i pump my GK1 v3 .22 up to 5000psi few times weekly..
Sir, can you please explain your handling of moisture? You say, you have no problems with that in your tanks. I do not see any filtration mechanisms on this compressor pump, f.e. an oil/water separator and condensation towers? A standard 12l. scuba tank at 300 bar contains 3,2m³ air, filled at 23 degrees celsius and 50% rel. humidity (and this is far away from summer conditions) with no moisture handling it will contain about 10gr=10ml water per m³ so its about 30ml water that will condensate immedeately as soon as you leave your house with this tank at winter. Even a 500cc gun cylinder will contain about 0,5ml water that will condensate inside your gun and corrode the cylinder and gun parts. According to DIN EN12021 (for breathing air) the limit of moisture going out of the compressor should be not above 0,05gr/m³. You would pump air with 10gr/m³ in best case into your gun. And there is no chance your molecular sieve inline filter is able to filter out that amount of moisture out of the air, since the air is flowing very fast through this filter and it can absorb only up to 20% of its brand new "dry" weight.
I have foster on my compressor and foster on my air tank ,what do I order I have a mail to mail to hock them together. Thanks Bruce.
You will need a 6000psi working pressure fill whip with female quick disconnect on both sides. look at ATP, Amazon, Ebay Aliexpress
knock on wood, its a good compressor..ive got a warranty til september 2026
Ooh sorry didn't know that.
In summation....a 220V unit is the way to go.....
same filter on ali express 49.00 vs haji 175.00
I was kinda interested but when you said you emptied the water and was clearly a rusty colour you lost me, why would they install a tank that goes rusty or lines what ever the cause is. I'll stick to my air tank
It could be grease. I took a second look and the water is still clear since I changed it about 45 days ago. maybe I should not have said rust but it had a brown color. I will look at the water again in a few months and let you know.
@@AirVelocitySport There is a long term review on youtube that said it only had some colouration in the first distilled water. After that he used antifreeze diluted 50/50 and never had another problem.
No I don't need one I already have a compresser.
It just don't make sence I just don't get the way people think.
Make a deep review of : AEA Airguns 480 BAR/7000 PSI Air Compressor, please, thanks.
Not available in the US yet. There are problems and they are working out the kinks. Information received from inside reliable source. Do not buy yet.
Just buy a hills ev310 that’s all you will ever need
For the amount of shooting I currently do, 1200+ is a steep number for me. This model I acquired for 450. I decided to gamble and see how it would do.
I can't understand how a guy like you owning so many PCPs and high end ones don't own a top quality compresser like a OMEGA AIR CHARGER or another good one costing 1500 bucks. It's comman sence when owning all the guns you have and the money you have into them. That kind of compresser your showing isn't the one for someone that has a collection like you. I have the OMEGA Air compresser it was 1600 dollars with tax from AOA and I only own 2 PCPS and it paid for itself after owning it for 3 years.
Because it is not his, it is mine. I don't have 1600 for an omega, I only require filling/ topping off a 95 cu ft tank every month or so. This model ran 450 and I decided to gamble on it.
If you are really serious get a Coltri scuba compressor
Just because you have a different one doesn’t mean this is not a good compressor. This is a solid piece of kit. 😊
Hey AVStephen, what’s up my man! I have the same one, only used a couple times so far, works like a champ. Question will be how along it lasts 🤔. Also have the GX that uses two 18 v batteries, used that a bunch for filling guns directly, still running strong. Good to see the videos again, stay well!
JoeK
@@rangur1did you know that GX is the company that makes the Omega compressor that you own? Also this uses the same system and I bet most of the parts inside are the same. It’s a smaller version. This is the exact same compressor as the omega trail charger, the parts are interchangeable
It's just slow as hell...
Hello ! I loved your video, it's really well done! Would you be interested in working with us? We'd really like to work with you. 😊
