Love a gooseneck tiny. Personally for me for full time I would probably swap the kitchen /living space and make the dining bar a drop down. The stools are already stackable.

Love you guys -- your cheery presence is always a pleasure. As a senior, I really wouldn't want my bedroom up several steps from the bathroom (I broke my arm because of a single step in a place we were staying). So I'd need the bedroom to be on the same level as the bath, but the gooseneck could be the living room (no problem with steps when I'm not half asleep) -- so this house would still be quite roomy. As for the loft bedroom -- it needs windows that open!!

    • @feliciasampson8032

Really cute place and generally well utilization of space to make it seem more open. The stairs to the second loft, however, look like one misstep to the ER! Not sure how to remedy that...a spiral staircase?
And I'd prefer a table to the existing counter. I was thinking that by screening in part of the deck and adding ceiling fan, you could extend the living space and have a table out there. I would use the kitchen window seat as a storage space if that was doable. Overall, really like it and love the salt box roof!
Thank you for your fun and informative videos!

Agreed on the saltbox; would love to see more tiny home designs use this style. 😊 Regarding tiny communities in Western WA, Bowman Hilton mobile home park in Puyallup has a tiny house section (www.bowmanhilton.com/). Another idea for the main bedroom is to make it into a multi purpose space by adding a murphy bed with built-in cabinetry around it for storage against the wall with either a flip up desk or one of those self leveling desk that you can just leave everything set up on it. This would create a nice sized workspace and sleeping area where the other is out of sight, out of mind when not in use. It also opens up the floor space for yoga, workouts, or whatever else you might want that extra space for. And if you don't want the extra floor space and maybe want more storage, you could build a short row if cabinets along the back wall under the window and have the murphy bed rest on top of it when it's down.
Another idea that I've seen for the gooseneck apace is to turn that into your living room/guest room by putting in a pullout sofa or small sectional and mounting a TV on the wall and you can add a small coffee table, end tables, or TV trays.

There are some very nice features in this home, but why would you not find space in a 40-foot tiny for a decent living room?? People don’t live in the kitchen or the bedroom. I like to cook and have a decent stove and fridge and kitchen storage, but I would make the kitchen shorter and the living area much larger. Thanks for the tour!❤️

perhaps a flip up table/counter that was shorter might work in that space a little bit better. It seems odd to have three stools under the table but you can only fit two people on the little sofa. I remember that video in which the bed is over the bathroom and I did like that a lot. I also noticed that there is no mini split in the bedroom and because of that I would have difficulty sleeping. This is a very beautiful tiny home.

    Greetings from Missouri.
This is a beautiful tiny home as-is but I would make just two changes:
    1. I 'd keep the kitchen window seat just as it is but would give it a hinged top for additional storage. (Always need more storage.)
    2. I would also shorten the dining table by a third to allow for a longer couch.
I'm a big fan of that gorgeous mint green color. And I particularly love that shower.
Such a lovely home. Thanks for the great tour.

I have 3 and they just wouldnt fit.. I like a 4 burner stove but a 19 inch works good too.the space in the kitchen could use a lagun table mount could use for an office. . It needs a washer dryer.. i do agree with the bed over the bathroom. with the full closet.

At first, I wondered about the window at the end of the kitchen...wasted space? Hmmm...but then I got to thinking...it adds more natural light in the kitchen area & helps it feel a little less claustrophobic. My next thought, it would also be a great space to grow kitchen herbs...or just to perch with a cup of coffee while waiting for water to boil? Also I do not really care for nooks to store stuff if I cannot easily reach anything stored in the back...without taking everything in front completely out first. I do love goose neck frames!

I would shorten the windows in the gooseneck end and wrap the counter all the way around, put an appliance underneath(washer) or an entire pantry system with a pop up counter for kitchen aid or instant pot.😊also who would actually eat at that counter? Too narrow-put in a hinged table about half the length and store the stools behind when not using. Also that half wall in the bathroom shower entry should have a medicine cabinet built in sink side.

I agree on the kitchen and living room modifications, I too like to lounge. 😊 I might lower the bathroom ceiling for extra storage, but I would prefer the bed where it is. I agree about the cubbies and drop down table in the spare bedroom maybe a little nightstand on each side to lay things on with charging ports for devices. If for kids. Especially younger ones, I think a better partition at the end by the stairs would be a safer option thsn.just the pipe. Thsnks!

I think the window space in the kitchen would be a great place to put a dining table or even an office/work space. The breakfast bar probably would never get used, it's too narrow and long., three people in a row isn't comfortable. If the dining table is in the window in the kitchen and the breakfast bar is removed you have space for a humungous living room.

I actually love the back bench with the windows and lovely view (from what I could see). It might be nice to put a lagoon type table there so there's another work/dining area as well as lounge area. It’s cute, but I would do what you suggested about that end of the kitchen is wasted space. I would put a u-shaped section of counter/cabinets at end to use that space, with a smaller window. That would be a more efficient use of the space. Even if it was as is as bench seating, why doesn’t it open for more storage? I would love A bigger living room space with a sectional couch. The tv should go right across the living room area. There also aren’t many windows-I’d need more light! Glass door would help. The stairs are useless, they need to be a more normal staircase with more storage under stairs. Why isn’t there any closet space in bedroom? The closet in the bathroom is not enough. I like your redesign idea for the gooseneck, and more closed storage in bathroom. This is great for an Airbnb but not great for full-time living at all. But it’s cute, and serves its purpose here.

You lose the feel of the house as a whole. And that deck, why isn't it covered and screened in or if nothing else have some kind of rain protection over the front door, On my first tiny house build I discovered the rains not going to not fall all over you when your trying to get your key in the door. Going inside, you would think that having a 40 foot space you'd maybe be space minded. Christiane, The first thing you talked about in this video was the tiny living room area with a love seat that didn't look as comfy as you said.... Now that I think about it, I wonder if these folks were paying you for the plug. Putting the front door where they did and a to big window in front left them with a space big enough for maybe a recliner which you could point towards the TV which was off to the right of the love seat and too high on the wall. And I know just from looking at you that that love seat is gonna be so comfy to lay on and put your feet up. A sectional would have been way better. These builders could have made a El-section on the kitchen cabinets and had a few bar stools, or a smaller window on the front with the meal bar under that window with a nice foot rest aka fender well. and then used that space for a longer sectional couch. And what was that outlet for above the love seat? it looked to me like a ground line phone line outlet but that doesn't make any sense because an out let like that would be lower and out of site. That cheesy shelve by the front door doesn't even match the rest of the house, so why was that suddenly added. If the TV was meant to be where they put it, then why didn't they put an outlet behind the TV, I did because I knew where my TV was going before I started building.....planning is everything. Lets talk about AC in a tiny home that's never gonna move. Mini splits cost to much money, and this house a house AC unit would have been as good if not better. As I'm watching the video there are things that catch my eye and one thing I keep going to is that bazar railing going up the block stairway that Alexis couldn't seem to walk forward down. A Staircase should be easy to go up and down without a worry that you might fall unless you have something to hold onto so I call their staircase a fail even though the design has merit. A wider step which means a longer staircase would have been smarter. About how long do you think sitting on the skinny wheel well and those step would last someone whom you expected to stay for a while. You gotta love the chicken wire, it's so cheesy. I don't get how you could take a space like that and not make a wrap around kitchen counter which would give you a huge amount of storage and food prep space and maybe even separate the fridge and stove. They do get points for the expensive facet with the nice sprayer and spring on the neck. The farm house sink is a nice look but a deep two sided sink is more practical. Tell me if your like me, would you prefer to have the trash out in the open or behind a door where its out site. And are you the kinds of person who likes to have room on both sides of the range for things like prep, or tall cans with cooking utensil's and a place on each side to lay a spoon down, and what's up with that little double window and skinny shelve. Couldn't that have been more counter and storage, maybe a dishwasher or a washer/dryer or both side by side. Would all your dishes and things you put on shelves fit on those two little shelves? Maybe A few or more shelves over the range or a hanging wrack for pots and pans? I'm kind curious what's in the space above your head in the kitchen, even tough I know you had head space it feels crampet to watch you standing in it. Okay, lets talk about the widow in the loft. I discovered a long time ago that on the high humidity day or night, moisture forms on the inside of widows, and this loft window has cloth pillows and mattress against it which will eventually become moldy, and I'll bet you were looking forward to be sitting up in bed leaned on that window? Probably not. Alright, I'd like you to tell me you want a bathroom just like that one. What the deal with three different kinds of tile on the walls? and that half wall, whats that all about, was there going to be a piece of glass there at one time, I mean how do you cover that, would the shower curtain go on the inside of it. and that little shelve inset on the wall of the shower is perfect, if your single. My wife's products for her hair could fell a three tear shelf and that's not even included in the shower because there's more there. Yeah I really want to hang my cloths in front of the water heater.....what could happen? The stairs going up to the over the goose bedroom is maybe the most intelligent idea I've seen so far, so lets talk about the bedroom. Almost everyone adds a little over the limit and because this house is never gonna move, the over the good space could have been a few feet longer and if the bed was turned you might be able to fit a tall skinny cabinet on each side of the bed so each of the people using the bed could have a night stand and some shelving. I think moving the wall was a great idea as well because you could have added a dresser with a desk. Can you imagine yourself stepping up on the edge of the bed and then shimmying into that hole and get to something at the far end of the storage........Like being in an MRI tunnel... And now that your all the way in, how are you gonna get out? I like the barn door, that was a nice touch. I'll end me rant with a vision of four or five winter coats hanging from those hook by the bathroom with make the space even skinnier, and my favorite, No mention of all the USB port scattered around the house in none of the rooms. I hope this wasn't to much. LOL.

Air bnb type decor is cute and all but practicality and use would be more important. Seems cold and aloof.

one last thing why not put a hook for your towel closer to the shower instead of putting the towel bar over the toilet, you have to get out of the shower wet and walk over there ...who wants to reach across the toilet for it why not put shelving over the toilet ? That is a nice Tiny home

I like the color nice and bright , but living area is too small, agree with what to do with the wasted space in kitchen to make living area larger. Also awesome ideas for the upper loft for sure., Lower bedroom looks nice. but would have been better with Christiens idea. . I don't care for the steps going up, there are better ways to deal with that even something on a pulley you can lift up and down or fold to side. Cute but wasn't thought out very well sadly.

Not crazy about all that dead space in the kitchen. They should have put a washer/ dryer and that kitchen sink is so small. A 4 burner sink but a tiny sink 😒. A pantry instead of closet for the vacuum
