Seriously! I find myself using it all the time, same thing with the Oracle games. It's so useful for getting around slighty faster and avoiding certain attacks and projectiles.
Roc's feather is used for jumping over a lot of things, like shockwaves, earthquakes, projectiles, but apparently it ain't powerful enough to soar over boulders on a crash course to links skull.
The final battle theme really makes the player think twice about finishing the fight, as if they do, they end up effectively committing genocide. And while Dethl and the nightmares are evil, they are against Link, as he’s the force of oblivion sent to their island. But BotW reveals that the wind fish dies anyways, which would mean that Koholint and its inhabitants are all deader than dead.
Just realized something in this and the original Link's Awakening... 21:04 Denial 25:00 Anger 27:49 and 35:15 Bargaining 37:41 Depression 43:55 Acceptance ...friggin' brilliant.
@@milliboyd6413 The boss dialogues I've listed go along with the 5 stages of grief. For denial, the Slime Eel assumes Link doesn't seem to be aware that the island is made up by a dream. For anger, Facade explains the consequences that will take place once the Wind Fish awakens in a distressed tone. For bargaining, both the bosses listed state that Link is also part of the dream, and he too will supposedly disappear along with the island when the Wind Fish wakes up. For depression, the nightmares state that they would've continued to live if it weren't for Link and so they fight in a last resort to continue living the way they have been. And finally, for acceptance, the nightmares state their world is going to disappear in a tone as if they were accepting their fate.
After seeing how great this game looks, I would love to see the devs take on remaking the Oracle games. Oracle of Seasons was my first full introduction to the Zelda series, so it has a special place in my heart.
Man, this game has a really sad ending disguised as a happy one. In most zeldas link is the perfect hero, but in this game his only motive is driven by the selfishness of getting home that he didn’t see the consequences, which was a whole island disappearing. Chances are he didn’t even make it home. He killed the friends he made, the girl he *presumably* liked, and all the good times he’s had on the island. He’d rather go with the small chance of returning to the home he once had rather then stay at the home he has now. In this game, Link is a monster.
Isaac Mitchell Link isn’t a monster, it’s more like the situation is morally ambiguous. Link wants to leave the island because Hyrule depends on his return (taken from my old instruction booklet) and the Nightmares’ influences will get stronger and eventually enveloped the world the longer the Wind Fish sleeps. In order to save the world, the island and it’s inhabitants were sacrificed. As Star Trek puts it: “The needs of the many outweighs the needs of the few.”
The Island doesn't exist in this world, it is in fact a dream of the Wind Fish and not the pleasant one either. It's infested with Nightmares which wreck havoc on the island and keep the Fish asleep forever. As it's said in the game's ending - it is the nature of dreams to end. Link is basically in a coma having been struck with the lightning in the begining, that's how he ends up in a dream. He struggles to wake up and stay alive, learns he's in a dream and learns about the Wind Fish. He gets rid of the Nightmares and wakes The Wind Fish, thus ending the dream. In the end Link awakes on what's left of his ship after the lightning strike and The Wind Fish is free to dream another world, maybe a happier one this time.
Wow, Angler Fish is great now! She moves around frequently, seems immune to excessive sword spam, and doesn’t die in ten seconds! Bravo, devs! Great job! Along with Gyorg, that makes two freaky fish who are infinitely better in the remakes of their games.
Gyorg was a joke in the original, a much better boss fight in the remake. Also yes, the Angler Fish is no longer the biggest joke when it comes to bosses in the Zelda franchise.
@@okagron honestly, the turtle head Rock was even worse. That thing barely even attacked in the original. Good thing they gave him a much-needed buff too.
Overall, the bosses are still way too easy. Moldorm: Barely a chance of hitting you as long as you use the shield. Genie: Just avoid the fireballs and that’s about it. Blobs: Just attack an eye a million times, split the blobs using Pegasus Boots, attack the blobs, that’s it. Angler: Just attack the angler fish. Slime Eel: Just hookshot him when his mouth opens, then attack the pink part. Facade: Just time when you place the bombs and make sure you run away. Eagle: Just dodge the projectiles and attack when the eagle flies toward you. Lava thing (forgot the name): Just stand in one one place and spam the magic fire wand. Final Boss Phase 1: Just attack the blob with magic powder. Phase 2: Just face him and attack the orbs, avoid the quadruple orbs. Phase 3: Same strategy as Moldorm. Phase 4: Use the Genie method, then dash into him as he throws his weapon. Phase 5: Use the fire rod and attack him. Phase 6: Jump over the swinging arms and attack his eye with the arrows when the eye opens.
I like how the bosses have unique dialog and personality. in many zelda games usually only final bosses have dialog so I thought that was a cool thing in link's awakening

Ya know, they should've change the ending with Nightmare revealing the it wanted the island to disappear by keeping the Wind Fish sleeping rather than "protecting" the island from disappearing, and that Link saved the island by waking the Wind Fish up. That would be a better ending.
0:26 Moldorm HA don’t make me laugh lucky for you I fought him in the tower of hera and Ganon’s tower in A Link to the past lorule castle and treacherous tower in A Link between worlds
link sure is happy for someone who's still stranded in the middle of the ocean with only a single log and barrel. The windfish could've at least helped him get back to land.
Hey, If you're new to the game on the switch, here's a tip to beat the "Gohmas" in catfish's maw. when they shoot at you, use your shield to block it, and then hit them in the eye with your newfound hookshot to temporarily make them vulnerable to archery (bow and arrow) and sword attacks. But do be careful and swift when you do so.
The graphics have improved! King Moblin is funny, and you owned the second Hinox! Dethl looks easier, but Ganon's shadow can block spin attacks now? Also, what did you steal?
I feel like the real reason the Nightmares really wanted to kill Link is that they are self aware that they all will die if Link wakes up the Wind Fish. I assume the minions that joined their army are aware as well. But still they are evil and would make the innocent villagers in the dream world live a nightmare, better to be erased from existence than living in pain.
It's funny that the remake ending sounds more positive and energetic about Koholint disappearing and the wind fish with Link being set free. I guess it's a good thing, to remind the audience not to dwell and exist on dreams, and instead live in reality. The original was a lot sadder with the music etc.
Is no one going to mention the fact that at the end, the island disappears and the people either: 1. Drown in the ocean 2. disappear along with the island

All boss battles of Zelda: Links Awakening without taking damage for Nintendo Switch in 1080p and 60fps
Blaino and Evil Eagle will always be my favorites in this game.
26:29 Grim Creeper is an Ardainian Soldier confirmed
14:05 that boss stage + boss worm habilities looks too similar to Mickey and Donald Magical Adventure/Mickey magical quest 3 Stage 3 Boss.
Probably a bow.
I Don’t THINK That’s TRUE?!
Dethl was actually buffed. You can no longer OHKO him with Boomerang.
23:37 That boss made me have a rough night
46:20この最後のシーンだけはどうしても切なくなるんですよね…
what
21:52 Armos knight HA Too easy lucky for you I fought him in Eastern palace and Ganon’s tower in A Link to the past
I love the boss clear music.
A good remastered indeed, one of the games i would have bought if i owned a switch! Maybe a lite in the near future who knows.
Wait A Minute!
Hot Head Should Be Helped With The Wand!
It Said It Lets You BURN Things!
34:06
You skipped the Miniboss of Dungeon 6... Aka the Ball throwing stingray looking thing that squeaks.
Me: wants to enjoy a classic I've never played
Prosafia gaming: I'm about to ruin this man's whole career
It's funny that the remake ending sounds more positive and energetic about Koholint disappearing and the wind fish with Link being set free. I guess it's a good thing, to remind the audience not to dwell and exist on dreams, and instead live in reality. The original was a lot sadder with the music etc.
A legend of Zelda game where you jump? Impossible
I have this game. ....thanks!
y u put so much spaces in ur comment
The game is just amazing…
21:52 that toke me so long to fight that boss XD
How did you kill him?
Ball and Chain Soldier: Im just happy to see every one else there.
You already beat all the bosses😮
32:32 When you give food to your dog by hand but he prefers to eat it alone
44:02 is when he goes KA-bOoMmMmMmMMmMm
Is no one going to mention the fact that at the end, the island disappears and the people either:
1. Drown in the ocean
2. disappear along with the island
