      Yes I actually do. I have a 2003 Cadillac CTS. It's a 3.2l V6
I change my oil very often just because the car is old, 217,000 miles old currently. Anyways, I Used AutoZone oil, so basically STP Synthetic high mileage, and the car runs great with it. I did a oil change last month with the same kind of oil but this time I added that Lucas Low Viscosity Stabilizer. Since then, I can testify that it really does help! I keep noticing it. I'm like dude this car got quiet. Aswell with improvement in driving, when your driving at a steady speed, you can't even hear the car at all and the car keeps accelerating, maintenaning the speed your going at, Very smoothly. Not that it wasn't like that beforehand, it was, but you know it did something when your driving and it hits you, like damn. So yeah definitely helps. I say it has power to quiet your car down a bit and slightly increases acceleration. It does something that affects the acceleration for sure. I felt it was slightly smoother. Not faster, smoother. It's wierd. Like I said, if you know your car, then you use that stuff, you'll notice it eventually. For me, it hit me about a week into it, I'm like yo the car feels good wth. Lol.

Before changing the oil and adding Lucas, I would recommend doing an engine flush BG Engine Performance Restore. This stuff can remove contaminants from the engine that normal oil change just won't touch. Lifter noise can sometimes be caused by dirty oil.

I'm glad you uploaded this video. I am currently using the low viscosity oil stabilizer and I prefer it than the heavy duty oil stabilizer. They both smooth and quiet the engine the same to me, but the heavy duty stabilizer is too thick for my engine, that I can actually feel it run a tiny bit more sluggish. I didn't expect the low viscosity stabilizer to be that good but I am pleasantly surprised. I actually appreciate how Lucas can achieve the same clinging ability, quieting down the engine, and make the engine operating smoother with a lower viscosity product and with a lesser amount product. Great video.

Garage said run it till it’s dead because the car isn’t worth the 35 hour repair. 18 hour trip and it ran great with the treatment and did not throw a check engine code. All these oil stabilizers are supposed to be addded once the oil reaches maximum temperature, then you keep running the engine...It is better to add it in between oil changes..The results are always great..I never put as much as inducated on the bottle. All engines have differnt needs..I add it,when it needs it..and just what it needs..no more...If you feel your car or motorcyle is sluggish
    Your viscosity is too thick...

    • @kainhall
      @kainhall 4 года назад +3

ya, you do the recommended amount of the thick stuff in montana when its -40f..... and good luck getting oil pressure
even with 5w-30..... it will take about 10 to 30 seconds (modern VS vintage engines....ETC)
so if ya add lucas in the winter here..... might take 120 seconds to get above 4PSI lol
like.... i know because ive SEEN it happen on the gauge
had a BEAT TO HELL 86 pont 6000 2.5 4 banger..... due to previous owners complete lack of care
i never changed the oil in that car.... just spun on a new filter
it burned and leaked so much oil..... it was basically a "total loss" system
it just changed its own oil as ya drove....(of course, ya had to add some back)
ran 20w-50 + lucas in that pos..... still went threw about 2 to 3 quarts per ~3000 miles

Yes.... But you must first remove the same amount of oil ounces so that your engine is not overfilled. Yoy can remove thw drain plug amd get the oil oit like that.... Messy but effective.... Or use A manual siphon pump to do the job... Slight modification might be needed with a smaller gauge tubing to fit down your dipstick tubing..... Try to use long enough tubing to connect to siphon pump and have about 6 to 12 inches longer than your dipstick length... You donot want to get that smaller tubing lodged inside your dipstick pipe.... Thats a headache nobody needs. Good luck.

I'm running Castrol edge, and I keep a close eye and snif my dipstick to check for gas. I have no increase on the dipstick, at 3000 miles its still on the full mark, no higher. But I can definitely smell gas in the oil. So 3000 mile oil changes seems a good idea. I bought this car, like it fine, and intend to keep it a long time.

no oil or additive will fix a mechanical issue.....
like.... if you have a spun bearing that caused a rod knock..... its still gonna knock even if you replaced ALL your oil with lucas
now a loose lifter or a slightly worn bearing.... ya, it will help
but the motor is still worn out.... the parts and bearings are still loose
sure, lucas will help you get another 50,000 or more miles out of it
but you will need to use lucas EVERY oil change (and its pretty thick for -40f montana winters....id go 1/2 what the bottle says to add)
again.... its not going to FIX!!! anything...... just help it live longer
lucas does work..... but AGAIN.... it WILL NOT FIX a mechanical issue
however..... "oil alone is not enough" is a BS tagline....
had a WORN out 2.5 iron duke that LOVED the thick stuff....
also fixed a stuck valve (sat for two years )in my sisters 74 ford gran tourino's transmission with the special trans stuff
modern day oils ARE enough....its only when you have 200,000+ miles.... or lots of abuse and lack of maintenance ....
then "oil alone isnt enough" rings true

Will make a worn or damaged engine more quiet, fixes nothing, makes you feel better, ligthens your wallet. All it does is thicken your oil and increases temps.
Only Marvel Mystery oil is actually worth a damn for prolonging an engine that may be dirty and have some wear.

I HAVE USED LUCAS IN MY GAS AND HEAVY DUTY OIL STABILIZER
IN MY LEXUS . I FIND ON MY TRIP EVERY SEASON 1500 MILE TRIP THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS . MAINTAIN OVER A MILE AND HALF INCREASE IN MILAGE . OVER ITS NON USE BEFORE. MATTER OF FACT I HAVE BETTER MILEAGE THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS THAN THE LOW LANDS ON THIS TRIP
AVG 25.1. TO 24.6 . CONFUSING . BUT GREAT NEWS EITHER WAY . 253,708 MILES ON THAT MOTOR .

Here is a warning that no one will give you about Lucas Oil heavy duty oil stabilizer.
Never use it in a VVT engine because it will clog the filter in your VVT sensor, and your check engine light will pop on under a thousand RPM or while you are breaking. That means you have to drain the oil and change it. I didn't know this so I went out and bought an oil pump. Even though I don't need it, I'm still going to keep it just in case.

The new formula is for vvt engines not the heavy duty it’s way to thick!!

@@kirkleaman6863 I have a 2010 Toyota Matrix AWD, and the New formula did the same thing with my VVT sensor. The Oil pressure warning light would flicker every once in a while until I changed my oil, and then it was fine.

Looks like you drained about a quart of oil out at your oil change! If your going to sell snake oil at least compare apples to apples🤔. You were low on oil when using your little noise meter so let me ask you how valid is that👎. Terrible test and now you’ve mislead 1000’s of suckers
