Songfacts: Guitarist Henry Garza wrote the lyrics as a prayer. When he was 18, his son died of sudden infant death syndrome (S.I.D.S). It's about the pain he felt and wanting to escape this world and see his son.
My mom recently passed away and this was one of her favorite songs. I have been struggling without her and thinking about her a lot. So thank ya'll for reacting to this song. I appreciate it. I miss her so much but every time I hear this song I know she's here with me. Thank you. ❤
She is still with you always. Prayers for strength 🙏 Whenever a song comes on out of the blue that my aunt liked, it's their way of saying, Im still here. Stay strong
My friend's band was the opening act for Los Lonely Boys for one night. They were THE NICEST guys! They were so uplifting of my friend's band and asked them to open at a few more dates for them. In all my meetings of musicians, local, national and international, I put Los Lonely Boys in a very high place on the nicest guys list 🥰
Hey y’all! I highly recommend watching them perform live in concert! I’ve seen them twice and they are absolutely amazing! They’re extremely talented musicians and singers. Everyone in the venue went wild when they played “Heaven”!! I’d go see them again in a heartbeat.😊
These three are brothers, Henry, Jojo, and Ringo, from San Angelo, Texas and they are intensely proud of that. Their music is like Stevie Ray Vaughn meets Carlos Santana! The very first song I heard of theirs was Cottonfields and Crossroads and I thought it was SRV until I asked the sound guy (at a conference I was attending). The second song was Sueno Mal (Crazy Dream) all in Spanish. I dearly love that song! They also do a version in English and Spanish both. Onda knocked my socks off. It sounded so much like Carlos Santana! If your do that one stick with the studio version. The concert versions are about 25 minutes, and Jojo goes off into another universe on that guitar. For a fun song, listen to Senorita! Amber nailed it... this is Texas Blues Rock!
This song was a HUGE hit in the summer of 2004!! I bought their CD because of this song and there were so many good songs on that CD that weren't chart topping but they were great!! So glad y'all listened to this, it's been a while for me.
This song came out when I was 29, and my wife was 28. My wife loves this song. My wife is Mexican American, so this song reminds us of the old days when we blended our families together. It was rough in the beginning, Irish and Mexican culture mixing to form an American family, but man I will tell you it came out beautifully. Great tune!!! We had already been married for almost 10 years when this song came out, but we still kind of see this tune as one of our songs.
These brothers from San Angelo can all sing and harmonize very well. They can do some straight-up blues as well. Henry Garza is one of the best guitar players in the world. This was their first radio hit.
This group are 3 brothers, they are so loved in Texas, Mexico, that area, I’ve never understood why they have not gone national. The second guitarists t is the youngest and also has some songs that are wonderful, the father is a famous guitarist that taught them the drums and Guitar. I’m glad you have found them.
@@brianlockhart2149 I appreciate your knowledge, and your correction. I am a big fan of Los Lonely Boys, and have been for years. I think they should be recognized more nationally for their fantastic music and talent.
Pulled up the lyrics to follow along, I had never really paid close attention before! I didn’t realize how beautifully spiritual this song is - love it even more now!
One of my oldest friends of 45 years and his wife are Archivist for The Los Lonely boys so they collect any news articles they come across. So in a way a link to this reaction could even be something that could be archived. Definitely a band to listen more of.
Love your reactions to all the instrumentation! They're from San Angelo, TX and self described "Texican" music. BTW, these 3 brothers are the 2nd band with a drummer named Ringo! Seen them twice live in 2003 and 2012. Excellent band!
I love these guys. My cousin used to play @Sealy Flats. Jeff Strahan. My fav is 'Montana'. It's about his Grandfather who was my Grandfather's brother. 'Superman' is a love song about his wife. Her name really is Lois Lane. 'Lilly' miss Lilly is his Mother, Lilith. Texas is about coming back to Texas.
Hi Kids! This whole album is a serious tour De force!!! All three can sing the Behinds off and Henry is s big SRV fan and it shows ... Great rabbit hole to go down!
this song was their breakout hit, but they have so many good songs! My husband and I used their song " Diamonds" for our exit song during our wedding ceremony. It's another upbeat happy vibe song. Please keep checking them out. I love their music.
I got to tell you, I got this album when it came out, every song on it is great!!! Very rarely is every song on a album good, let alone great. You can pick any other song on it and I am sure you will dig it!!!
I had just asked y'all to do that one. Not realizing you already had. They are awesome. The Spanish line says oh one high above, please send down a blessing.
I have to be honest & say I’ve never heard of this band, but I like the sound. I will def. check out some more of their songs. Ty for the post & your reactions\incite.
So glad you finally got to the Los Lonely Boys. Love this song and their song 'More than Love'. I don't think I've heard any other of their songs but these two songs really impressed me.
Haven't heard this in ages. Love everything about it. They're brothers, and all three are very talented. Someone who knows more can correct me, but I think I'm hearing jazz chords in this pop song... especially in the lead guitar playing. Love, love the lead playing; very inventive and musical but not overplayed. Bass is solid, and the drummer is very good. Oh! And his first name is Ringo. Thanks, you two! Great song. Top musicianship. Great reaction.
Another great band from the State of Texas, they call their music "Texican Rock n' Roll", combining elements of rock and roll, Texas blues, brown-eyed soul, country, and Tejano.
These guys are as cool as the day is long… The lead singer is amazing - to be able to sing and play such a top level bluesy guitar is something so very special. He’s bad ass.
Great choice of music to react to!!! I got to see them live at the SHRIMPOREE in Rockport, Texas a few years ago. Man did they tear it up!!!! What a show!!! Never could understand why these guys were not a world wide sensation!!! The talent of these 3 brothers was just AMAZING!!!!
“Dime Mi Amor”, “Señorita”, “Crazy Dream”, “More Than Love”, and “Nobody Else” all great songs from Los Lonely Boys. Would love to see y’all’s reaction to these
First saw the Garza brothers perform in 2005, last time I saw them was only 3 days ago. So glad they are back after taking some time off. Good to see them healthy and happy and sounding amazing. As always they finished the show with their Grammy award winning song Heaven.
These three brothers are great musicians. They have many great songs. It’s hard to pick just one for your next reaction to them, but I’d go with their song So Sensual.
LOVE this song! I couldn't tell you any other songs they sing, but this is the jam! The music makes me think of a beautiful sunny day without a cloud in the sky!
Oh lordy, ya'll are playing my heartthrob band!! I don't have one, but TWO copies of this CD, one for the car and one to do my chores! I also have the DVD and have seen them in concert twice!! Never heard too much from this Group, but I Remember this, and It's reall Great! Have to put on my 'To Buy' list! Fantastic Guitar & Great Harmony! Have a Great 4th You Guys! :)
First time viewer and saw this reaction video of LLB. They are one of my favorite bands and been following since their debut album. They just dropped their latest and can’t wait to listen to all the tracks. Enjoyed your reactions. This song has stood the test of time for me.
This song is such a vibe, it's a summer must have in your playlist type of song, I'm only 28 years old and they have been influential part of my musical journey.
I remember hearing this song for the first time in 5th or 6th grade and I thought they were a brilliant trio of blues rock! I'm from Chicago and I've been to a music venue in the Northshore suburb of Highland Park called Ravinia, which is where I saw these guys play along with Los Lobos. It was in the summer of 2006, and that was my first concert at Ravinia! I should check out more of their music, but I would love for you guys to do a reaction video on Los Lonley Boys' song "Crazy Dream", which you'll notice the guitar has kind of a Stevie Ray Vaughan sound! That one is awesome!!
I was blessed to see them Live after their first album came out. They shared the stage with Carlos Santana and held their own beautifully. More please.
3 brothers from San Angelo, Texas, with a true devotion to great music! Spent NYE with them in Austin in 20???..can't remember the year but they were fabulous!!

I’ve been waiting for you to react to them! So many great songs! This CD was always part of my playlist when making the long drive home for family visits. (About a 4hr drive)
I remember hearing this song as a four year old when this song first came out… heard it many times on the radio growing up in Nacogdoches Texas! Now living in Tennessee and I still love this song and it brings back great memories of my childhood
Los Lobos, i remember their music playing years back when i was working in Sugarland tx. I am born and raised in Texas. Thank you for playing i home town song for Houston area
This song is one of my happy songs. I know the lyrics focus on changing one's ways, but that's a happy thing when someone realizes they need to make a u-turn in life, and the song is just such an uplifting one, I play this when I'm feeling down or angry, and it usually lifts my mood. Great song to drive home to after a tough day at work. Todd Rundgren's "Bang on the Drum All Day" is another.
These guys are from my hometown of San Angelo, Texas. It was filmed in one of our local Catholic churches. Great song, unfortunately it was their only big hit. Henry is talented AF, a truly gifted guitar player, songwriter and vocalist.
OMG - never heard them before! Love 'em! 🥰 Counting Crows (one of my favourite bands) vibes. Definitely will be getting albums. ♥♥♥ this channel. So much great music and so many new bands I've been introduced to. Brilliant!

Wow,that's incredibly sad! Any parent would trade their life for their child's...😔😪💗
Eric Clapton wrote and sang a song about the death of his son Tears in Heaven . It's beautiful too.
I dnt know this it 😅s Very sad but it must of helped him during that Terroible time like when Eric Clapton lost his 4yo in a Terrible accident.
How sad😢

This is a song of faith ... Tu qu'estas en alto cielo, Echame tu bendiciòn. >> You who are in highest heaven, give me your blessing.
It was originally meant to be a prayer by I think the lead singer but his brothers started adding instruments and turned it into a song.
I don't understand why, this comment made me cry.

Tejano rock!

Do they have an HD version of the performance on Pepsi Smash!?
Man, what a great group, lead guitarist stated Stevie Ray Vaughn was his inspiration.
