I had previously installed a leveling kit, 1.75", but still couldn't really tell a difference with the new bumper...really no difference until I installed the winch..
@@kentuckyhotwheels I figured it out! An open end wrench with tape on one side to prevent the nut from falling out, then up into the cavity of the frame!
No, but keep in mind, before I installed this, I painted it with Krylon textured paint (satin). I treated it 3 times year with boiled linseed oil or SC1.
Do you know if the stock red pull horns can be replaced on this bumper? I have a 4Xe and they are blue, wondering if I can replace the blue horns in place of the red one here. If they fit.
Thanks for the great vid! Do you recall the fasteners for the new close out panel. My old ones were damaged and I've gone through three attempts to find the right ones...lol.. thx

Are does your factory tires? If they are, what are the specs? I have an Overland myself but it came with all weather tires and I’m looking to change them.
Great video, very informative and answered a lot of questions. Will my sport halogen fog lights fit or should I try the led ones supplied? I heard they are a little cheap and not that bright?
Not totally sure..I believe I've read that others have used the halogen lights, but I won't swear to it...the lights that come with the bumper seem to be a very nice quality...you may just want to stick with those... :)
@@kentuckyhotwheels Makes sense then why I can’t fine it. Works be a nice side job for you to make and sell them. Anyways thanks for responding to my question.

Nice job
Thank you...if you're looking to purchase this bumper, have it professionally painted before you install it... :)
Thank You
When you add the winch install post it! Great work
Will do..it's in the plan... :)
Could you notice a difference after adding an extra 100 pounds to the front end?
I had previously installed a leveling kit, 1.75", but still couldn't really tell a difference with the new bumper...really no difference until I installed the winch..
I was hoping you would show the actual skid plate install. My plate doesn’t seem to line up.
They different with the steel bumper and plastic bumper...plus you also need the standoff's..
Nice. How are the fog lights protected on the back end? Is there a plastic cover protecting them or are they just exposed?
They're exposed just like the OEM..I do believe somebody is making plates that you can install to protect the wiring...
@ that’s what I figured. Thanks for confirming
Are you trying to get people to turn it off?
Any idea how to mount the lower recovery tow hook?
I never planned on mounting it, so I'm not that familiar with it's mounting points. I don't know of anybody who actually used them.

Hi, did your jeep sag a bit with the extra weight? Can you install the bumper without the winch plate to save weight? Thanks
No, no sag at all..and yes, you can install it without the winch plate.. :)
How’s it holding up? Any issues with chipping/fading painting over the powder coat?
No, but keep in mind, before I installed this, I painted it with Krylon textured paint (satin). I treated it 3 times year with boiled linseed oil or SC1.

Yes, they're exactly the same.
@@kentuckyhotwheels So this bumper will fit the 4XE as well? Thanks!
@@funplaymix7710 I don't see why it wouldn't unless the 4Xe has different mounting points, etc.

I don't have parking sensors...sorry..

No, these are not factory..the wheels are..18" Overland wheels..the tires are 33x12.5 R18..
Any clue on the steel strength of this bumper vs OEM steel?
It's the same gauge. But I don't have a direct comparison.

Where did you get the Overland vinyl for the Splash Shield ? I’ve been looking for sometime now and can’t find it.
I made it myself. At the time, I had access to a vinyl cutter.

Absolutely no issues whatsoever. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
