      Of course. When all QB's in the NFL are black you're sure to have one that's better than the rest and eventually youll have a great one. All that's needed is to remove any competition. It's kinda like getting spotted 20 points on the SAT just because you're black or hiring quotas that force employers to hire blacks and then, forced promotions. Nevermind that not one black student in the DC school districts scored proficient in math or English. Not to worry, we can make up for that with minority preference points.

    Politics aside. The problem with CK is he was incredibly average. He was operating out of a system that failed once NFL talent had enough film to beat him. His QBR dropped below 65 the last 3 years of his career. His best year was 3368 yards passing, 60% completion, 19/10 TD and INT. The reason he left SF is because he was in a downward slide and wanted more than the market was willing to pay. Today? He wouldn’t even be average.

    Colin’s point about the NFL draft still holds up even considering white players. It’s a fair argument to say those practices, no matter who they’re wielded against, are abusive. There are also arguments to be made about how the athletic attributes of black athletes are fetishized and fawned over more than white athletes.

  • @treyjohnson23
    @treyjohnson23 10 месяцев назад

    It’s sad racism is only called out one way. While I like Stephen A he clearly wants to see less white players and coaches in the NFL. It’s really simple, the best players should play, and we’ve seen this for years, black or white. Now we’re seeing more black players actually wanting to play qb and they’re evolving, which is a good thing because it makes the sport way better, at the same time there’s a spot for white qbs who are more traditional pocket passers who run on occasion. Josh Allen isn’t a traditional qb much like Lamar Jackson and they’re put under the same scrutiny when they don’t do well.

    • @willawentertainment
      @willawentertainment 10 месяцев назад +1

      You’d have to understand who created the system of race to begin with to understand why it’s one way.
      Racism is why a league that’s almost 80% Black is still being coached largely by white men, and it’s why we didn’t see the numbers of Black QBs in the past as we do now. Black QBs of the past knocked down doors that the present ones are walking through. And as Patrick Mahomes likes to point out, there’s still a narrative about them, so there’s still work to do.

    I think thats a reasonable question. Personally, I do not believe Kaepernick is honest. I think he is pandering and virtue signaling. Nothing about his actions have actually shown that he wants to play. He could have received a backup post. He was never going to get more because frankly, he never proved he was a head quarterback. You never speak to this. You always complain that Colin isnt in the NFL.

    The crazy thing is that teams are considering hiring John Gruden after his racist homophobic email rant. So Kap is right on how the league sees the players because there is no way Gruden should be back in the league around black players. He certainly has no business being around a black QB. Hell, his brother didn't know how to remotely use RGIII. I digress...I said in the moment that Steve Young was drafted and had any success in the league that there would be an influx of black QB's. Why, because he had all of the attributes of a Black QB's.

    • @dragonchr15

      They are crazy. No black player will play for him. Even gruden knows this which is why he is suing. His livelihood is destroyed.

    Kap was a lot like Dak in the sense that he was very mobile when he came into the league, but once the other teams had a chance to watch films on him and figure him out he wasn't as effective. Unlike Kap, Dak hasn't made it to the Super Bowl. Unlike Dak, Kap never developed the other aspects of QB and ended up on the bench.
