This has to be one of the worst songs I've ever heard. "Spirit" does not rhyme with "feel it" or your absurd decision to reattempt rhyming with "hear it."
I hear this song daily at work because of my employer's decision to play one radio station that is apparently obsessed with this track. I am sorry, I'm sure you're a great band with a wonderful collection of songs, but this song fills me with such loathing I feel as if I am no longer a man, but a seething ball of hatred.
I've heard this on the radio a few times, and it's always such a disappointment. The first 50 seconds are fantastic and really promising, and then the hook/chorus is such a letdown, like it was dropped in from a different and much lamer song. Oh well. At least no one is yelling TAKE IT ALL BACK at me a hundred times.
