Amazing. Thanks so much to DIY on the house for such a clear tutorial on what I would have thought would have been a much more complicated thing. A repair guy could have totally told me that it was an expensive repair and I would have believed him. Thanks so much for saving me that money! The $17 in parts was all that this cost me.
And it really was as easy as he says! You have to jiggle a little bit with the clips to make sure they open so that you can pop them onto the joints in the hood and make sure you use the smaller flathead, but once you get past that it's a cinch. Really made my day when I saw I was able to do it by myself.

I had my son installed them and he did it under 5 minutes tops! SUPER EASY. I got them off amazon and no more dings on my head! Lol TY

Thanks so much, simple & straight forward. My trunk hood on my 2007 Ford Fusion just stopped staying up-came down on me. Been using a metal pole, but don't feel safe. I'll get the new struts. Should I go ahead & replace the front hood too, it stays up fine now? Thanks again.
