Didn't you just say in the other video comparing ip14p with S22U in the car image that colour looked better on ip14p? But the colour in S22U is much closer to P6P.
Plz do a four phone comparison like you did last year. Comparing the 14 pro max with the S22 Ultra, the Pixel 6 and the 13 pro from last year. And plz do a point system like you did last year. That way you can determine the true camera champion of 2022! Edit: The Pixel 7 Pro is releasing soon so you might as well wait for that before you decide to make the video.
I'm a pixel fan. I have both P5 & P6. Yup. I notice after pixel 6 change to Samsung lens from Sony & the SD to Tensor chip, the camera is not as good as previous pixel phone i.e P5. esp. in potrait mode & the color on P6 is a bit less saturated & dull.
ever since I switched from my old cracked screen iPhone 11 to the Pixel 6 last year I've been in LOVE with stock android, definitely enjoy the OS much more the iOS
To unlock the pixel God mode is simply by using the 4x lens for both daytime photos and videos and believe me no phones can ever come close to the quality of the output result
A portrait photo tip for anyone using Pixel 6 Pro: -Use the 4x lens to take a regular photo -Go to 'edit' in Photos, select Blur and see the magic happen. It will give perfect focal length, zero distortion, and wonderful portrait shots.
Great video Daniel, really appreciate the effort you put into the video. But I have a quick question when you included the features that are not present on the pixel such as macro mode and cinematic mode, why not include pixel-specific camera features like action pan, long exposure mode, astrophotography, and magic eraser as well? Just thought it wasn't fair to include iPhone 14 pro-specific features in the video and not the pixel-exclusive camera features.
The correct way to take portrait photos with the main camera on the pixel, is to use the 1x button which corresponds to 1.5x in actual zoom. If you use the portrait button 2x, this corresponds to an actual zoom 3x and thus it gives a poor photo.
THANK YOU!!! You're the FIRST person to stand up for reality! The Pixel video can, in some instances, beat out the iPhone. Everyone else, despite clear wins, in their own videos, will just repeat the mantra of the iPhone is the video king. Good job, man! 👍
I dunno... i wish he had more samples. Whenever I've tried the pixel videos have been vastly inferior to even the samsungs. Not sure what changed of there was an update I missed or a setting. Stabilization plays a huge part in that but also smoothness. It seems the android can't keep up with the computation plus stabilization and far too often if you take video a subject in motion it looks like stop motion.
Very good video Daniel! The competition with Pixel 7/7 Pro phones will be very interesting in the photography/video department! While it is fair to say that we need to look at the full package and see what phones are really giving the best 'overall' experience and not just into a single department only.
Was waiting for a long time for this review! Google Pixel 6 Pro showing off their awesome camera. I can only imagine what the 7 Pro camera will do. So glad that I made the switch from iphones to Pixels.
@@tjananthan Initially I did after watching some reviews on the Pixel 2 XL I fell in love with how good the pics came out on that phone. I had always been an iPhone type of guy ever since the first generation iPhone up until the iPhone 6. Then after I got my Pixel 2 XL I carelessly jumped in a pool with my phone in my pocket. I then upgraded to the Pixel 4 XL and was loving that phone as well until I started to have battery issues. I fixed it but for some reason my phone just gave up on me and died. So I kinda got frustrated with that experience and decided to go back to Apple and got the new iPhone 12 Pro. Well it only took about two weeks when I started to miss the Stock Android experience on my phone the UI on the Pixel its a pleasure to use. So I sold the iPhone 12 and got me an used Pixel 5 and as soon as the Pixel 6 Pro came out I purchased it and I have never been so happy with a phone before. You catch yourself taking tons of pictures that you would normally won't do with an iPhone. And I would love to explain to you why the user experience is so good with the Pixel software but I just noticed that I'm writing an essay type of reply, sorry. LOL
I would say 8/10. He didnt mention pixel specific features like long exposure, action pan, astro, cinematic pan. yet he did mention macro mode and cinematic vid of iphone... other than that very unbiased and informative comparison
This guy is an Apple guy but he is never biased like the rest. So I like his camera comparison. I am surprised by the day time video on pixel. Let's see what the 7 pro does. Pixels have cinematic mode not just like the iPhones.
I requested for this camparison last time when u uploaded 14pro and s22. Since then i used to check ur channel everysingle day to see if there is any vedio u uploaded by comparing these two. Now when its here, thats it i'm happy. Pixel deserve this attention and thanks for giving that.
The only problem I have with the pixel 6 series was how it processes portrait shots. The 50mp binned down to 12mp processing was quite difficult for the tensor chip to accurately process edge detection mainly. Hope the 7/7 pro with tensor G2 will help fix that. Pixel actually had the best portrait shots up until the 6 🥲
The thing people forget is that the telephone on the pixel has a 1/2 inch 48 mp sensor that is way better than iphone and the 1/3 10mp on the s22 ultra. Because of that you can take raw portraits with the 4x without any artificial blur and it looks amazing
The issue with that is 4x is just too zoomed in. I hope google has implemented the 2x trick apple has used which crops into 12mp of the entire 48/50mp sensor and uses that as a 2x zoom. That is the perfect zoom for portraits. That's why the portraits on the older pixels like pixel 4/4xl were actually better than newer phones that used digital zoom
And you move back to account for the 4x zoom & you get a natural bokeh. This is my go to mode for portraits. The ai boken on smartphones is still gimmicky & just weird personally having used portrait lenses..
@@supaahflyy "I hope google has implemented the 2x trick apple has used which crops into 12mp of the entire 48/50mp sensor and uses that as a 2x zoom. " They did with the 7 pro :D

The iphone images just looks wrong. It's always like I need to adjust the tint and highlight whereas the pixel just have this striking balance natural photos that's just so pleasing to the eyes. Even if the iphone might be a little bit sharper the pixel image quality is always Gold 🥇

As a photographer myself, I have to say you do the BEST camera comparrisons. Any chance of an iPhone 11pro vs 14pro? My own tests suggest this would be even more shocking! 😶
I just want all 3 pro cameras in a compact phone. It's not worth carrying such a massive phone for the extra camera. 5.5" would be ideal. I'm ok with the phone being a little thicker to fit all 3 cameras.
I have to disagree with your 1st portrait example the Iphones suck it was just a complete blurry photo whereas the pixels only it's nose was blurry. The Boca was ok (should have been more) and the pixel and overall way better detail in the subject
I'm on the fence here about what is good or bad as this is mainly software processing as opposed to lens focal quality. So basically it comes down to what software you want to use. You should never buy a mobile phone on the basis of the camera. I wonder if HDR would be better if it never compressed the images so much.
This is the most shocking camera comparison we've ever done! Was not expecting these results!

Shocked to see the BMW M3 color totally different on both phones ? which one is closer to the real color ?
I have to disagree with your 1st portrait example the Iphones suck it was just a complete blurry photo whereas the pixels only it's nose was blurry. The Boca was ok (should have been more) and the pixel and overall way better detail in the subject
Just wait for next software update for iphone..
The one's who bought pixel 6 pro in the sales off late are the real OGs.. bcoz the Pixel 7 series doesnt bring huge improvements over the 6 series .
So how did you Esim swap with these two?
Portrait on the front cam wasn't better on the iPhone.
It was just your preferred
The fact that P6P goes up in comparison with a phone that's a lot expensive than it.😍
literally just searched this and you uploaded it
Thx zone of tech still can't find a meaningful comparison between latest iphone vs old pixel
Have you got a comparison with the iPhone and the S22 ultra?
Nothing is shocking cos the pixel is always superior in camera tech
I'm on the fence here about what is good or bad as this is mainly software processing as opposed to lens focal quality. So basically it comes down to what software you want to use. You should never buy a mobile phone on the basis of the camera. I wonder if HDR would be better if it never compressed the images so much.
With the pixel 6 and 6 pro, there is no need to upgrade to the 9 series, if photography is your top priority.
