I have a rrrrreally hard time spending 1200 bucks on a phone with these issues.. so I’m gonna get an XR for 200 and maybe the 15 will fix it. Would’ve been fine with my X but my rear camera doesn’t focus after I replaced the screen that was fluorescent green and unusable -_-
If you're a photographer like me who doesn't mind RAW processing in computer to get the absolutely best out of the sensor, the JPEG files converted from 48MP ProRAW files will blow your mind. The RAW files have so much detail and latitude to work with. I had been perfectly happy with my 13 Pro and wasn't planning on upgrading this year until I saw what one could pull out of those 48MP ProRAW files. It's a shame that the Pixel 7 Pro can only output 12.5MP files even with RAW.
Of course it comes down to if your iOS or Android, difference isn’t greater than that. But from a photographers point of view, you hardly mentioned what’s fixable in after processing, like colors, sharpening and HDR, and what’s not. Personally, biggest advantage with the 14 Pro against older iPhones are the 48 MP Raw shots, adjusting in Lightroom on the phone and save/print. Quality is stunning. So if I wasn’t into iPhone already it would have been tuff choice if it wasn’t for the 48 MP RAW. But that’s not for everybody, get it.
Don't forget that Google will very likely release a series of camera updates to address most if not all the problems at launch which will make it even better. Apple has a reputation of failing to address any issues with the iPhone camera, so you're stuck with what you got. Pixel FTW.
I’ve noticed all these companies using android are focusing on getting great photos, while Apple focuses more on video (it just looks better) which is why it is more popular I guess (because let’s face it… videos are more popular than photos these days).

I've used Samsungs, iPhones, Pixels, Huaweis and it surprises me how tech reviewers fail to mention the zoom capability of the front cameras (both photo and video up to 4x) on the pixel phones. That gives it an edge over other phones, at least in terms of camera versatility. Granted it may not be the most useful feature in a front camera for most people but it is always better to have it than to not have it. And no other phone has it.

I usually default to iPhone for video, Pixel for stills. But there was some back and forth for me in certain specific cases. I'm especially interested in 24 fps, haven't decided between the two there. Looking forward to improvements in both going forward. Nice comparison. 👍
Why the hell do we need a comparison that focus on the cameras? That's like comparing just the seats of two different cars. There are plenty of other things we doo on a daily basis with the phone, other than taking pictures or shooting videos. How about testing all these other features and functionalities?...
15:38 how can you say front facing selfie looks better on the pixel? Your face is very red so your skin tone is completely wrong and it's darker way/ less dynamic range.

This is the best camera review I've seen between these 2 phones. You pictures were well selected to outline the strengths and weaknesses of these cameras. Thank you. To me, Pixel preserves the highlights better, has better performance in poor light and a slightly better zoom. While iPhone maybe has a more rounded camera, with better video and more extras.
Pixel is really good because the good camera software. But iPhone is good because it is good. I am also always curious how the old Pixels compare to newer phones..
i mean post people want the shadows to be brighter that is what iphone is doing on the other hand pixels focus too much on exposing the highlights we lose all the details in the shadow i am talking about the landscape video night and day difference
@1:14 the iPhone looks like it was being focused for the fore ground as the grass at the front the photo was much sharper than the grass on the Pixel. The Pixel showed it with mid range but did not capture as much detail as the iPhone
Man these phone cameras still have a long long way to go on anything other than good natural light. Selling them at £1000 is madness. When they make a real breakthrough on these small sensors, these two cameras are going to look awful. I was going to buy the 7 pro to use as a second camera to my main camera but not at that retail price.
If I were to switch from iPhone, I'd get the Pixel Pro. A 5x zoom makes a LOT more sense than a 10x zoom. But man, your bias is showing: "The iPhone wsa a bit better here, so we'll call that a tie".... Wut?
I sense you have some bias towards the Pixel. I'm a Samsung user but even I can admit that the iPhone has the best camera and their video is by farrr the best.
I think you missed two points. 1. Pixel has shutter lag, which makes it inconsistent with the results. If you press the shutter button 4 5 times quickly, it freezes for 2 3 seconds (watch ASBYT's Pixel 7 Pro review). 2. Adaptive true tone flash of iPhone. It might improve night mode shots in many cases.

I canceled my Order for the iPhone 14 Pro Max (1449 € for 128 GB) and ordered the Pixel 7 Pro for 899€ - 90€ for my Google One Abo - 300€ for the Pixel Watch LTE (Sold on eBay). In the End i paid 500€ for the Pixel 7 Pro... Its Not anymore a question of the OS.
Any reason for zooming in when taking portrait shots? you are basically comparing a native 3x zoom to a digital crop.
Exactly and he says portraits are trash while using cameras wrong. Zero credibility.
In India Pixel 7 pro is 80, 000 .rs (975$) and iPhone 14 Pro is 180, 000 .rs ( 2,190$), buying pixel saves (1,215$), but if you wanna complain about the camera quality buy a 1000$ DSLR and still save 200$. Pixel is the best choice.
Many other videos focus on battery, performance, gaming, speakers, etc. This is about the cameras, and best give it a miss if that is not important.
15:38 how can you say front facing selfie looks better on the pixel? Your face is very red so your skin tone is completely wrong and it's darker way/ less dynamic range.
Since I'm an Android user I'd pick 'Pixel 7 pro', but actually I like it's Camera system over the iPhone ( like the 'Dynamic Range' overall ) not significantly better than iPhone, but still im team Pixel.! 😎😀
Coming from an iPhone user, I’m digging the camera work a lot more on the pixel. Should I try a pixel pro?
Yeah
To me , taking pictures isn’t the issue. At some point cameras on either phone will not be good. I’m not a professional photographer so it doesn’t matter to me. Not if that’s u are then yes it matters. Ive been an iPhone user since the 6plus( 2015 )& I had no problems since. At some point I will go cheaper cause I’m getting older & money will be the issue. The Pixel Series are great RAW ANDROID Phones, so I’ll be getting one soon. Great video on da details of pictures & quality of them all but as for now, it doesn’t matter to me. Enjoy ✌️✌️✌️
I like having one Android and one iOS, and the Pixel 6 Pro for a casual user like me is highly recommended. In fact, the Pixel 6 (7) base model would suffice to save $300 (£250). They run rings around the S22U for a basic user like me.
I noticed 4.30 and 6.30 in is Salford Quays in my home city of Manchester 👍👍
Honestly your reviews are superb and unlike other reviewers like SuperSaf and Marques Brownie they are not bias. Never change!
Supersaf made his pixel 7 pro vs iphone 14 pro review while using proraw on iphone 14 pro entire photos without mentioning it in the video which is deceiving and un-ethical.
@@Mohamedahmed-jz7xd Yeah I think Supersaf was just biased towards Iphone, He kept calling IPhone better.
@@Mohamedahmed-jz7xd Did he mention it somewhere?
@@Mohamedahmed-jz7xd that is so shameful, but I understand if he dares to make a sincere review he is afraid that maybe the Pixel could look better than the iPhone and that will cause a paycheck and perhaps getting Apple very mad and he might get removed entirely from their payroll. Disgraceful!
Wow!! This channel is absolutely awesome! 👍💯🏆Applause and respect to Dan ZoneofTech
I phones are known for mimicking any lights in the evening. You will have green dots all over your pics n videos. If you use your phone for photography/videography go with the pixel
Living outside the US, the Pixel is a no brainer considering the price difference of €500,-
Well for that 899 price piont most people would go for the pixel
So subjective. Half those picture I thought the opposite was better
The iPhone is more expensive by the way so keep that in mind. The iPhone is very good but also supremely expensive. I would take the pixel.
4:45 Some crazy differences in that dynamic range.
I don’t think the pixel is better than iPhone in video, I don’t know how you guys think pixel 6 pro’s video is better than iPhone 14 pro
I just recd the 7 pro today, and having tech issues already, Google Chrome has no back button for one, no options in settings..
When it comes to all three of the top flagships whatever your flavor is, you can’t go wrong 👌
£850 vs £1150? Kinda crazy what Google have achieved with the Pixel line up. It's taken a lot of resource, time and marketing to get Google here.
Cheers for the video.. I've gone for the pixel 7 pro on an o2 switch up plan..
Correction sir At 8:19 the pixel 7 pro has a wayyy better pet portrait
At 11:24 I can't believe you picked the iphone regardless of the background blurr. That image is unusable
I think in the cases where you said pixels hdr processing is better the iphone can get close to the pixel when you tweak the photographic style
Yes, if photos are essential, then use the 48mp RAW on the iPhone, as that takes the 14PM to the top of the class.
@Andy_H England
I’ll definitely be checking that out.
Isn't Pixel about AI learning, and it gets better overtime?
Pixel 7 pro killed it
The new champion in terms of photography
According to DXOMARK.
If Apple can get their shadow detail, and blown out sky together, their campers would literally be perfect.
Let’s hope they do get it together.
some people are crazy, the price difference is very important . my only issue is the storage. if pixel 7 pro with 256 GB For 899 and usd storage , There will be no comparison
I am thoroughly confused by this review..You open your video stating that the Pixel 6 Pro Defeated the iPhone 14 Pro in Daytime video? Yeah that really says it all. Your own your own here Daniel, you won't find another credible RUclips Tech Reviewer even coming remotely close to your conclusions..Sorry to say but your video lost all credibility. It now also makes sense why your overall findings in this video are so contrary to SuperSaf who does an ACTUAL Unbiased Camera review.
How is iphone good because it is good?
Consistency is key!!
Nice work. Thnx. I already ordered my pixel 7 pro.
I thought it was Andrew Garfield for a sec.
I was gonna go buy the iphone 14 pro but now after what i have seen i guess the pixel is just better for me as a camera test
i mean post people want the shadows to be brighter that is what iphone is doing on the other hand pixels focus too much on exposing the highlights we lose all the details in the shadow i am talking about the landscape video
night and day difference
Good review but unfortunately is down to software. No matter how cheap android is, as long as you like iOS, you don’t really have a choice.
Hi~Nice share!😀 and may I know which camera you test in macro mode image? Tele or Ultra wide?
12:06 you really need to clean the camera lens on that 14 Pro. I can clearly tell it’s smudged with the that light streaks across the video.
the pixel looks great. i just dont like the magenta tint on the photos
Im not going to lie, some of the pictures you claimed you preferred on the pixel blows my mind lol
bruhh tf y dont u grt any views ur videos r soooo gud
This guy says the pixel 6 pro dethrone the iPhone in vid he only one saying that. WHATTT
Let's wait for the software update on Google
Both are PROs, but 14 is greater than 7. The iPhone has a 48 mega Pixel camera , but the Pixel has no iPhone whatsoever.
The dark shadows on iphone are a major problem also the annyoing yellowish tint
If I were to switch from iPhone, I'd get the Pixel Pro. A 5x zoom makes a LOT more sense than a 10x zoom. But man, your bias is showing: "The iPhone wsa a bit better here, so we'll call that a tie".... Wut?
I sense you have some bias towards the Pixel. I'm a Samsung user but even I can admit that the iPhone has the best camera and their video is by farrr the best.
I don’t know if it’s worth just getting the $599 pixel 7 and then de-noising all the photos on a pc
is the Pixel resolution also binned to 12.5mp when shooting RAW?
I think you missed two points.
1. Pixel has shutter lag, which makes it inconsistent with the results. If you press the shutter button 4 5 times quickly, it freezes for 2 3 seconds (watch ASBYT's Pixel 7 Pro review).
2. Adaptive true tone flash of iPhone. It might improve night mode shots in many cases.
The curved screen is persoanlly the only dealbreaker ive seen yet for the pro model. If im buying a phone from Google its gonna be pixel 7
It's not as curved as the 6 pro
I got the 7pro and the curve is slightly curved, feels great when swiping back
I have 7 pro. I don't think this will bother people like me who don't like curved screens. It's barely noticeable
@@SpicyNoodleDragon I'm using the Huawei p30 pro and it's curve is too much. I'll test it out in store whenever that happens, anc hopefully it won't be bad, but the curve I have now is something I do not want to have ever again
Is the 12.5 MP binning a hardware limit? This seems like something a software update/mod could fix.
Grande Chris haciendo comparativas de celulares caros 😁🤙
You should do a software comparison
Hi Dan tuank you for this video , just got my pixel 7 pro and sold my 14 pro max
I really hate low resolution on pixel . Whenever you zoom in for details, it disappoints you. If Google could have integrated more pixels to it's camera, that would be really good
The thing is that the pixel is no longer rad and shoulders better like a few years ago. No one is going to buy it because of the camera anymore. Pixel will remain a niche phone while everyone else will pick the iPhone or Samsung! Truth hurts!
I rarely take videos and pixel 7 pro is 50k cheaper than iphone 14 pro. It's no brainer for me.
Would you also be able to cover Vivo phones? I know that the new Vivo X90 Pro Plus is coming on December, if you could cover that phone it'd be great
Very good comparison, love from India ❤️
This year's iPhones have really bad HDR....
Pixel is going hard and only going to get better with updates to software while iphone will stay stagnant. That's scary.
The o2 plan should be available in Australia
Bro. Better worse? Most of the photos all almost identical. When you’ll post them on your social media you won’t even know which is which
Great video, imagine if Apple and Google worked together!
