So do you agree with my findings? Best video stability EIS Pixel (Watch the action camera & ultrawide video section) Best video quality iPhone. Normally people don't film video running... Best colour, zoom, portraits and daytime shots the S22 Ultra Best low light they all trade blows, maybe the Pixel 7 Pro overall.
In your main camera 60 frames per second 4K you accidentally put the pixel 6 Pro having a 200 megapixel camera with f 1.69 aperture which would be awesome but unfortunately it doesn't
had to send my pixel 7 pro back...dim lighting indoors, pictures of my kids. hair total mush, skin color like dead, hair color changed, no texture in skin or hair, even my old 12 por max did way better
@@protoping I doubt that as the pixel 7 Pro beats 14 Pro in a lot of categories and is moore saturated than iPhone. Maybe you should have waited for an update as it's only been 3 days
Clearly all phones here are top tier! And it was hit and miss in general when it comes to still photos for all of them. But what I've noticed is that Pixel have upped their game in the video department! And they are closing the gap to the IPhone video champ. Which is great to see. Excellent shoot out Sir Chris! 👏👏
They are better than last year but far away from closing the gap. The noise and the restoration especially in dark environments are substantial in comparison with the new iPhones. Also the clarity is on another level, you can clearly see it on a big TV. And I am talking about the main camera here. Not to mention the cinematic mode witch is awful on the pixel.
@@Techtablets So if you have children and you had iPhone all gens, you would have great videos and memory :) And this is what I see today, it was a good choice to go Apple ecosystem. I dont have to suffer for years and ruin memory, just to justify the existing of a Pixel!!!

I can't get enough of this phone, all day exploring something... Apps, themes, options etc etc etc
I own an iPhone 14 Pro, but all three phones are fantastic. I still like the video quality of the iPhone best but the microphone really sucks. Pixel 7 Pro is clearly the winner from this test by reducing surrounding noise definitely best. Almost tempted to buy the Pixel 7 Pro as secondary device.
Overall the S22 Ultra is the most versatile. It's also rarely last place. Always the best or somewhere in the middle. Surprisingly S22Ultra has managed to hold it own against phones released 8 months after it did.
I have the iPhone 14 pro max and a s22 ultra. I was thinking about getting the pixel 7 pro and giving my mom the 22 ultra. Just. Ibrather keep my 22 ultra and give her an iPhone
Please stop with logic, pixel and iphone design and specs are/were not decided after the release of the S22 ultra. I'm sure all 3 companies are working on next year's phones right now, they just release at different times but worked on in same period
The one thing that always bothers me with Samsung is they still have shutter lag. It causes me to miss many photos of my kids because by the time the photo takes they would have moved
The Pixel 7 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, and Galaxy S22 Ultra all produce some fantastic pictures and videos. It's amazing how far the AI and processing has come to get amazing quality out of the cameras in these phones even though they all still need much improvement in some areas especially low light wide angle pictures. At this point it's mainly just preference of phone/brand. I'm really enjoying taking pictures and videos with with my iPhone 14 Pro Max with ProRAW, ProRes, and Cinematic mode. The competition between all of these companies brings out each others best, which is better for us as the consumer. I can't wait to see what we'll have in another 10 years from now.
s22u is really impressive. at least those who wants the pixel or ios ecosystem have good camera options. surprising how ios is overly processing images these days...
There’s a more in depth comparison between the pixel 7 and the 14 pro max done by supersaf, and it’s quite the opposite. The pixel over processes everything, very badly. The video is heavily processed leading to high noise in shadows while videoing, even in the day. I agree the iPhone has gotten more processed which is a shame, but the pro raw mode nullifies that. However the pixel 7 pro is the one that suffers most when it comes to post processing.
Not really sure what video you watched, but Google is the KING of over-processing, and we all know that! It is the reason it has been at the top for years, AI and processing. See Mrwhoistheboss iPhone -v- S22U comparison and the iPhone has far more detail and less noise, and that is what matters to many looking for quality. You're right, it's definitely subjective. The photos you liked more were the ones I'd be editing if out of my DSLR. The audio I heard was completely opposite of what you experienced. I was surprised by the 7P audio quality and ambient noise suppression and thought the S22 was 3rd best overall (like the mic moved 6" further away each time you switched).

All the 3 phones were amazing, finally the Pixel caught up in Video. Whichever you choose, you'll be ok. With that price and those gimmicks I would definitely go for the Pixel 7 Pro.

Absolutely love your reviews. They are very objective. Can trust for purchasing decisions. You have helped me a couple of times so far. Love from Ireland
There was no outright champion as all had pros and cons and it depends what a random individual prefers. All very subjective. For me, 90% of what I do is video, so win for iPhone. I was hoping the Pixel 7 Pro would catch up, but that is def not the case. The Pixel is best for photos and has the best under-10X zoom. Though the iPhone beats it in 2-4X zoom range, so all down to what you need. Just for the rec😂rd the best video on the iPhone includes the Action Mode and cinematic blur, both easily beating the Pixel 7 Pro. The 2X zoom is far better than both other phones in video (and photos, and the iPhone has the best macro).
Great comparison without factoring cost, very on point, with each close and trading blows. Outside of US especially though ,the normal iPhone 14 is the comparison to the Pixel 7 Pro due to cost. So really the Pixel pro wins hands as you could get one and a GoPro or some with the spare coin vs the others.
The iPhone 14 Pro line is still selling like hot cakes a month after launch, and data suggests that it will be their best ever Pro model ever! I think that the market it is aimed at, cost is not an issue, they just want the best iPhone, so that point is mostly moot. The Pixel is more of a challenger to the S22U, which is possibly why Samsung has had such a poor year for S22 sales (Apple still doing great).
@@Spoonfed78 it is a secondary equation after they have decided on their OS choice. Otherwise if the price defined every purchase no one would buy an iPhone.

Amazing comparison Chris. Samsung still has balanced color science in my opinion. I phone is really shines on video-stabilization. And this time pixel has great improvement over last year and I really liked it. Hope to see mate 50 pro review against this phones.
Don't expect too much from the mate 50 pro this time. The main camera sensor is far weaker than any of these phones and weaker than the mate 40 pro and p40 pro.
What shocked me is s22 ultra's result against 2 newer phones. Although I'll still probably stay under $600 while buying phones, can't buy the pixel yet because of tensor. Play a lot of genshin impact
@@Nikunj_Goel not a lot of good options currently because of the sd 8gen 1 fiasco. I'd go with sd870. Probably Poco f3/f4 because it's really cheap. Use it for 2 years. Wait and see how tensor develops. If it's still not good enough, then probably another poco/S series (base one, if they fix their drastic throttling) with the latest sd chip. I would never choose an iPhone because I use a lot of modded apps and I like the freedom I get on android.
@@UhOhUmm the chip itself is inefficient. Raw power isn't the only metric people should look at. Also g2 performs similar to 865 in gaming. So not an upgrade for me since I'm already using 870
Awesome content as always! Truly deserves all the views and subs. Thank you for tirelessly giving the best camera comparison content and reviews from your end of the globe. 👍👍
Full disclosure: I have a pixel. The audio in the pixel seems a good bit ahead of the others (esp the iphone). Was most apparent in the zoom videos (could barely hear the s22 at all). I wonder if the iphone and s22 are trying to pick up sound from the thing you're zooming into and filtering out the sound behind the camera (i.e. the speaker in this case) . TechTablets: I think you are a brilliant reviewer. I love the way you couldn't give a hoot whether it's iphone or android or pixel or samung or whatever, you just always tell it straight. Really appreciate that.
Chris - thanks for the video. To my untrained eyes, generally iphone 14 wins in video departments and s22 wins still photos departments. It is good to see pixel phone improving as new generation of phones.. but I don't think they are up there yet. Really dispointed with pixel with that video image stabilization shot.
I disagree from 00:28 to 00:41 of the video the audio sounds almost mono and you could hear the wind buffeting compared to the Samsung. I think it just depends on the situation. The iPhone and Samsung were bad during the zoom shots because I think he was blocking the mic of the phone or had the audio set to focus audio (feature on Samsung and iPhone - so if you're zooming on someone and they talk you'll hear their voice better) on what he's zooming. I also think that the iPhone had the lowest volume of the 3. Not sure if all 3 phones were balanced (from a volume perspective) before testing.
Awesome comparison Chris! Wow pixel really did a great job this year when you consider the price! The only thing that might stop people going for the pro is the regular pixel 7 lol, for 300 extra the pro should really start at 256gb storage. It's a funny price strategy they have going. But if you look at it in a vacuum compared to the other big boys (or even cheaper flagship phones like the OnePlus 10 pro) it really is a killer phone this year! And mate you ain't team nobody your team consumer! That might not help financially but hopefully you can keep your head held high! Thanks again mate
if you can, go with the preorder till 17th of October and you'll get an extra pixel watch or buds pro in the package... even if you get the pro version if you discount the price of the watch/buds, it's a tremendous deal if you think about it.
I think all 3 phones are incredible! Each had its moments of getting the better shot than the other. But I do love the Pixels natural color a bit more. Can't go wrong with any of these in my opinion. Great vid!
great video, can't really go wrong with any phone here for point and shoot. Need a dedicated 📷 with larger sensors now if you are serious and want to take the next step in quality
For me the winner is the iPhone 14 Pro, i use my phone a lot for videos and he is clearly the winner there. The camera are very similar in these three, very good ones! Nice vid
To me the ultra was pretty clear winner. The pixel video just blows out all the details while walking, stabilization was great, but not if what your watching is just a blur. Iphone not great low light, lots of flare, weird blurry daytime pics as well, pixel is nice but is processing the pics pretty heavily, whereas the Samsung has the best balance between processing color and retaining details. Macro shots as well the ultra does very good at. Bugs and flowers and etc does great. Pixel will get solved update to help that out, still new, iphone is always good, but alittle surprised how just average it was compared to these two phones. Still a great device
Yes pixel best EIS / stability in video but the best details was the iPhone. S22 is the old phone here and does so well but updates with the Pixel and iPhone will be interesting to see in a few months.
Portrait - Samsung Photos - Samsung Videos - iPhone Blur - iPhone Night Video - Pixel Night photos - Pixel Steady - Pixel Conclusion? We still do not have a Perfect mobile. You can have the best pictures in the world but you gonna lack with many other Things
I was waiting for your video specifically, thanks! I think all phones are very much on par. For me personally the real winner is the one that I can get for the lowest price.
Fewer bugs now but still throttles like crazy and lags. Plus It's very hard to get over 6 hours SOT. Poor battery life. I don't recommend it, get the SD8Gen1 version if you can.
Best Best Best... that's it, I saw several comparisons with the 3 devices and I think that until the moment of this video, yours was the BEST international comparative video of these devices in terms of camera... probably some disagreed with my opinion, but you not only showed several different examples, you explained it well and finally gave an opinion that seemed very impartial to me... congratulations my friend. I think we missed a test with the macro and with the maximum megapixels of the devices, but it's really good my friend... keep it up you'll go far! Your S22u is the Snapdragon right?
@@Techtablets maybe that's why some detail is missing in the photos but the colors are so good and natural... the same happens on my s21 ultra exynos... but the detail in the photos is better than the new s22 ultra
No phone can beat the IPhone on the video camera but in photography there is a little competiton there ! i liked the true color on the IPhone 14 Pro Max there for sure
Pivot point problem. If camera B is the pivot point for pitch, then this is an accurate test. But for bank and heading, camera A and C are at a huge disadvantage.
All of em look pretty good for My usage with a phone but if I had to pick I will go Galaxy s22 pixel and since I'll never use the iPhone again you can eliminate that. But it definitely has one of the best videos capability on a phone. Pixel 7 pro just arrived by the way. 😊
Let me know how it is. I agree tho probably choose the Samsung over all. iphone yeah I got a 13 for a few months and can’t wait to get rid of it. It’s smooth cause you can’t do shit on it especially emulation which is way harder to do

Front facing cam: S22U Video: Kind of a tie Portrait: S22U Stills: Tie Ultrawide: Tie Overall,I think the S22U is the better, but only slightly. I don't think there is s clear winner. All will perform decently.
@TechTablets what do you recommend, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G refurbished for around £475 or Pixel 7 for £599 - which is going to give me better photography and performance. thank you!
Great review at TechTablet smashed the like button, I personally will be going for the Pixel 7 instead of the Pro as i am not a fan of edge display. Really impressed with the Pixel improvements in the Video side and trading blows with both the Apple and Samsung phones are all i wish to hope for. S22 is definetely leading the pack. Thank you for doing this!
Google is the God of sound processing, not only it has the clearest mic rivaling your studio mic, its noise cancellation also works smart. Honestly for me Pixel 7 Pro video is better than iPhone in most occassions. It just lacks hardware power to do that background blur in higher resolution and frame rate (limited to 1080p@24fps). The rest all three trade blows and might also include personal preferences. After all, they're all true flagships.

The Pixel is more of a challenger to the S22U, which is possibly why Samsung has had such a poor year for S22 sales (Apple still doing great).
@@andyH_England I hardly think factoring pricing is mute on product comparisons. It's pretty standard actually.
@@Spoonfed78 it is a secondary equation after they have decided on their OS choice. Otherwise if the price defined every purchase no one would buy an iPhone.
@@andyH_England yes the eco system factors too, often though people feel trapped due to lack of compatibility and integration, so it's not a fluid choice. This is engineered though.
Amazing comparison Chris. Samsung still has balanced color science in my opinion. I phone is really shines on video-stabilization. And this time pixel has great improvement over last year and I really liked it. Hope to see mate 50 pro review against this phones.
Absolutely, my Mate 50 Pro will be here in a day or two. So next week for a camera comparison with them and a review maybe.
Don't expect too much from the mate 50 pro this time. The main camera sensor is far weaker than any of these phones and weaker than the mate 40 pro and p40 pro.
@@eoin4597 lets wait and see
@@tugrakulig Yeah, maybe it will surprise but will be limited by the sensor size at least to some extent
The Pixel needs a software update to address the over sharpening and contrast. I think it will get better with time.
It’s sure to improve
as it is it is better than iPhone 14 pro max
The Pixel 6 started off with a not so great camera but software updates fixed it shortly after it was released.
@@porschepal7932 Does the Pixel 6 still have the issue with flare when taking pictures?
@@benhurbenstiller yess
Great video 👍
Thanks for the comparison.
PS TechOdyssey sent me 😊
Pixels are the Smartest Smartphones
A lot of AI stuff yes. Thanks for watching!
What shocked me is s22 ultra's result against 2 newer phones. Although I'll still probably stay under $600 while buying phones, can't buy the pixel yet because of tensor. Play a lot of genshin impact
Hey Tasin, what would you choose for 600$ if not an iPhone ?
@@Nikunj_Goel not a lot of good options currently because of the sd 8gen 1 fiasco. I'd go with sd870. Probably Poco f3/f4 because it's really cheap. Use it for 2 years. Wait and see how tensor develops. If it's still not good enough, then probably another poco/S series (base one, if they fix their drastic throttling) with the latest sd chip.
I would never choose an iPhone because I use a lot of modded apps and I like the freedom I get on android.
Reviewers said tensor 2 is okay for gaming.
@@UhOhUmm the chip itself is inefficient. Raw power isn't the only metric people should look at. Also g2 performs similar to 865 in gaming. So not an upgrade for me since I'm already using 870
Ur truly such a nice and hardworking mate. Awesome review very unbiased, something we didn't request n deserve something we needed . Thank you 😇
congratulations for the accurate review ... one question, s22 ultra is the snapdragon version I guess ....
Awesome content as always! Truly deserves all the views and subs. Thank you for tirelessly giving the best camera comparison content and reviews from your end of the globe. 👍👍
My pleasure!
Wow, it sounded like something was covering the mic everytime you switched to the iPhone.
All 3 looking good 👍 I have the S22 Ultra!!
Nice well you have a top camera flagship 🤩
great video bro!
Thanks bro!
Awesome comparisom!!! Does the Pixel 7 pro have hand gesture to take videos or photos, lite the galaxy?? Congratulations agan!!
Great Comparison, But i think you forgot to turn off audio zoom features on Galaxy which works really great for zooming audio
I did forget to disable it 🤦♂️
Samsung still head above both iphone and pixel...!
Such sharp images...! 😳😳😳
Thanks for watching.
All are great. Do you have the Exynos S22?
Pixel video has exceeded my expectations!
Same it keep getting better!
I like that this video demonstrates what MKBHD was saying about the iphone vs Pixel 7 pro.
As a someone who JUST got his 14 pro max, I do prefer the Pixel 7’s camera overall.
Wow, I didn't expect iPhone to fall behind Pixel and Samsung for the low light video recording!
Pixel just crushed them on audio quality. I guess the new chip is doing the work. Awesome video, Chris, thank you.
The Pixel AUDIO is what truly impressed me. And Google has improved the video recording quality IMMENSELY.👏🏼
Huge step up in video quality
Pixel has updated
pretty nicely this time
Awesome comparison Chris!
Haven't had a Pixel since the Pixel 2. Glad to be back
I think all 3 phones are incredible! Each had its moments of getting the better shot than the other. But I do love the Pixels natural color a bit more. Can't go wrong with any of these in my opinion. Great vid!
Thanks a lot for the video. S22U is the clear winner
Wow - really surprised by pixel performance - especially image stabilization.
Great comprehensive review as always thanks
Thanks for watching!
Interestingly, the Pixel's UW camera appears to be narrower (both in photos and videos), despite the fact that the specs say it's wider.
Pixel kicks the other 2 for stabilization for sure, this time pixel wins
For stability yes but details and focus … nope
iphone 14 pro max still the best in videography but for photography I'll go for Google pixel 7 pro 🔥💯
Thank you for an awesome comparison. Does the camera app on the Pixel have pro mode? Btw DXO scored the Pixel phone the best camera phone so far.
It doesn't. Oh they did, that's good.
6:56 when zoomed in with those sum glasses you reminded me of max headroom! Great comparisons mate keep it up we love these ik depth comparisons
great video, can't really go wrong with any phone here for point and shoot.
Portrait - Samsung
Photos - Samsung
Videos - iPhone
Blur - iPhone
Night Video - Pixel
Night photos - Pixel
Steady - Pixel
Conclusion? We still do not have a Perfect mobile. You can have the best pictures in the world but you gonna lack with many other Things
Sadly that’s very true none dominated at everything
Love the side by side comparison & made it very easy to evaluate the different camera modes of the 3 devices.
Thank you. I think it's the best way to do it even if it is a real nightmare to edit it.
still S22 ULTRA is the photography king
I was waiting for your video specifically, thanks! I think all phones are very much on par. For me personally the real winner is the one that I can get for the lowest price.
Fair enough!
Pixel it is lol
Thanks for the best fair review for camera Comparison!!
I think the takeaway here is you cannot go wrong with any of the 3 phones.
Samsung every time I take a pic with s22 ultra I am amazed
We have the same slogan. "Honest In-Depth Tech Reviews"
Amazing comparison. Great job!
Great comparison. Has your experience with S22 Ultra (Exynos) improved compared to your review video (bugs, stutters, etc)? Thank you. Cheers
Fewer bugs now but still throttles like crazy and lags. Plus It's very hard to get over 6 hours SOT. Poor battery life. I don't recommend it, get the SD8Gen1 version if you can.
@@Techtablets sorry I didn't get the notification for your reply, I just remembered to check.
Thank you for your help. Cheers
Great video, as always! 😊 By the way you live in Florida?
No Spain 😆
@@Techtablets ups 😄 Spain is a beautiful country by the way!
Is it just me, or the iPhone has a very "muffled" audio recording? Anyway, the stability is better on Pixel and iPhone, but I still prefer Samsung!
Great comparisons! Thanks techtablets
Thanks for the comment. No my S22 U is the Exynos version it’s what we get in Europe
@@Techtablets maybe that's why some detail is missing in the photos but the colors are so good and natural... the same happens on my s21 ultra exynos... but the detail in the photos is better than the new s22 ultra
No phone can beat the IPhone on the video camera but in photography there is a little competiton there ! i liked the true color on the IPhone 14 Pro Max there for sure
iPhone is the steadiest … 7 pro is amazing… but s22 is the best
Pivot point problem. If camera B is the pivot point for pitch, then this is an accurate test. But for bank and heading, camera A and C are at a huge disadvantage.
The S22U looks the best, then the iPhone and then the Pixel 7. all are very close.
It’s smooth cause you can’t do shit on it especially emulation which is way harder to do
Thanks for this amazing all-round comparison!
Great comparison. Please also add a camera response time comparison section in future videos. I heard the s22u doesn't respond very quickly for photo shots.
It was fine, no real lag more than the others that I noticed.
you heard from who?
@@keepitreal5148 Someone who own the device and compared with the mi12su, which I am sure you cannot afford to buy.
Wow, this was a great comparison. Thank you.

Overall,I think the S22U is the better, but only slightly. I don't think there is s clear winner. All will perform decently.
@TechTablets what do you recommend, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G refurbished for around £475 or Pixel 7 for £599 - which is going to give me better photography and performance. thank you!
You won't see much difference. But when you put it on your IG story, you will see the difference clearly.
What would you choose? Pixel 7 pro or S22 ultra (exynos) ? Pros and Cons overall? Thanks, and... amazing work as always!!
