Man, this game really made Mewtwo live up to its title as the strongest Pokemon. It steamrolled my party till my Pikachu got lucky and hit it with Zippy Zap for enough damage to beat it. The Let's Go games are greatly underrated.
The strongest pokemon is Arceus the God of all pokemon.

I've got my Alolan raticate juicing up rn for it.
Get the special move “baddy bad,” from the pokecenters, and get your Pokemon level 70-75 or over. Follow Sacred’s directions to mewtwo. Save the game before battling, if you lose, close the game down completely and reload. You should then have another chance. Whilst catching, make sure the force field disappears and wait until mewtwo is in the exact middle of the screen. Then throw your master ball. Remember, mewtwo cannot escape from this master ball, and you have caught him. After this, battle Green and get mewtwonite X and Y. After this, you can do shiny streaks, battle, and much more.
Get articuno to level 60 , mewtwo will attack first with psychic , just use mirror coat it will one shot him

Easy Tip to Beat Mewtwo: Use your Articuno and use the move "Mirror coat". It deals double the damage taken. Mewtwo is faster and will attack first. Level 55+ Articuno will take a hit from his Psychic with 27 HP to spare.

There is another way of getting to the cerulean cave other than use flying ride pokemon. I'll give the steps
1. Go to cerulean city
2. Get past the bridge
3. Use sea skim on the water
4. Go to where cerulean cave is
5. Go into cerulean cave (first you have to finish pokemon league)

I used the second trainer, made sure my first 2 pokemon in my party had sleep moves. Put him to sleep on the first set Then use superfang twice to cut his hp down. Then it's easy work
Or have a support trainer and then mewtwo uses phychic ur support trainer gives ur eevee/pikachu a full heal and your eevee will use baddy bad

Wow, apparently I'm one of the 36% of team Eevee. I've always liked Eevee since it was a normal type, and pikachu is cute, but it's an electric type, and bevause Eevee is normal it's more, I don't know how to say it, balanced out? R.I.P. team eevee.
Yeah I picked Eevee partially out of spite but in reality I always loved the options Eevee had and only ever grew since Gen 2. I hope we get one or two more in Sword and Shield. Dragon, Ghost, or Ground would be cool.

He’s pretty hard to beat, but I’ve got Mew from the Poké Ball Plus and a Ditto. I turn on two player battling and can have my Ditto (nicknamed Mini-Dit as an anime reference, he’s small too) transform into either my Mew or the opposing Mewtwo. Neat, huh? I’ve still yet to beat him, but I save before the battle and if I loose I soft reset it.

I tried catching mewtwo with a great ball cuz my stupid self used the master ball on a frickin zapdos when I changed to a regular poke ball I catched him on the first try for some reason :/

I'm not sure how I got so fortunate catching mewtwo. I started the battle with a level 51 Blastoise and used ice beam and it froze mewtwo! So I decided to switch to my level 56 Dragonite and mewtwo stayed frozen. 3 or 4 turns go by and each time I use Outrage and mewtwo stays frozen! Then, mewtwo faints and I capture it with my master ball.

I managed to beat without Articuno because I got a lucky critical as Charizardite Y and I finished it with zippy zap with Pikachu. It didn't take me that long to get lucky. I was also about to give up until that happened.
A good way to beat mewtwo is to get articuno and use mirror coat and you will either one or two shot it

If anyone is struggling to beat him if you have your partner pikachu and articuno you can beat him your articuno should be able to tank a hit then toxic him then go to pikachu and zippy zap him and when pikachu dies you can revive and use zippy zap cause zippy zap always hits first and just keep reviving pikachu

How can you get multiple?
Are you referring to the other player? If yes, you can actually play the game with just 1 Joy-Con, so you just have to shake the 2nd Joy-Con for another player to appear(for co-op) and then you can battle with 2 Pokemon at the same time.

If you bought the pokeball plus attatchment, you dont even need to bother catching mewtwo, since you get mew (the better version of mewtwo) at the begining of the game.

Dude! I used my eevee AND charizard for the battle (with my second controller). I mega evolved my charizard into its x version. I let mewtwo focus on trying to K-O eevee and while he was busy doing that, I kept attacking it with charizard’s dragon pulse, simultaneously healing eevee with max potions and obviously not letting her die.
Then after I got the chance to finally catch mewtwo, I fed it TWO golden razz berries, and a golden nanab, THEN (with my second controller ofc) I threw two ultra balls,
AND IT FUCKING CAUGHT FIRST TRY.

Ano ways:call ur friends to play with u and send out eevee/pikachu and send out ur favourite Pokémon and both of the Pokémon attack and ur Pokémon use toxic and other Pokémon use dark type stuff and same as the other won that worked for me AND remember to store max potion

I used articuno and let it use amisa then I survived a phycic and then used mirrorcote ONE SHOTTT just use my strat and u will one shot him
