Hi everyone! Finally got the game! I decided to share all my experience from the game!

As much as we like to diss Trace for being basically a very very budget Blue(and even quite generic compared to other gen rivals except for 6) his AI is actually quite intelligent. I don't think I have seen a NPC swap out their Pokemon when at a disadvantage as much as Trace does
I just named my rival not blue. So I call him Not Blue.
This is true, but this game is still embarrassingly easy

Ethan Pang hame freak gives us the experience share so we can level up a bunch of Pokémon easily and fill up the dex on the way
These battle music brings back my childhood, I don't own a switch yet but 15 years ago i got a gameboy color, and got stolen at school.

Who else is a little disappointed that red isn’t champion in his game since it’s in a was a “sequel” but the events are exactly the same as the predecessor with blue occasionally pointing out that red beat him year ago
Dude, is this game a spin off ? I haven't played any pokemon games after the 4th generation (Specifically HG/SS, i love these games SO MUCH, Platinum was great tho) and these let's go eevee and pikachu seem a little off...

in gen 7 we are the rival
Badass battle where his strongest Pokémon is Lv.57. That's the weakest champion/final boss team after Ghetsis and Lance. So, it's top 3. Doesn't honour the Lv.63-65 starter of the rival in the originals.

Is anyone gonna mention that when Trace uses a full restore, it says "You used a full restore", even though Mixeli hadn't used an item at all.

Might've been a wink to RBY, because that text appeared in the original games when the opponent was healing their Pokemon when they were still at full health

I'm not too surprised he has a Mega Pidgeot as much as him sending it out first, still a good battle tho. Also Eevee is op in this game
Why do I have likes?
Remember that AI is not so much intelligent as Some other Trainers. If it has an Opportunity it will make his Pokémon Mega-Evolve xD
With Eevee not being able to evolve it would make sense that the game creators made it stronger. Pikachu is the evolved form of Pichu, so it has already an advantage over eevee.

I've gotta say, this battle was pretty hard (especially his rematch because I didn't wanna train my pokemon since it will just be a waste of ultra balls) and appeared underleveled, like a lot, team was: nidoking, pidgeot, charizard, vileplume, golduck and pikachu, but the real difference this time was that I knew what is going to do the AI, and after the mega pidgeot returned (since it got swapped because I lead with pikachu) I decided to go stall the heck out of it with toxic and roost pidgeot, that was the first time I ACTUALLY enjoyed a good champion battle, not like cynthia in bdsp where I was forced to overlevel.
So you can name the rival... & what you did here with the naming was flat out brilliant! X'D
You might hate what I’m about to write but for me wiping out his team with clear type advantages doesn’t make a very entertaining battle.
I much prefer it when a Pokemon is either not returned or if there is not a type advantage as real strategy is involved.
I just love the fact he raised that poor orphan Cubone into a powerful Marowak. Hands down the best Rival

Yeah, he is kinder, although I’ll admit he’s still a bit more arrogant than some of the other friendly rivals in the series.

I never knew this game is remake of pokemom fire red, leaf green and yellow.
I love the graphics on the Nintendo switch they could have done a much better job :) Am impressed with this game I am gonna get it for Christmas
Garrett Christensen Well honestly they could had done WAY better. Especially for using the switch. Graphic wise, sun and moon is still the best. This are just updated ORAS graphics. I guess they are saving the better graphics for generation 8 next year. These are basically spin-offs anyway.

Blue's strongest mon is level 63, while Trace is 57, so it's not that big of a difference. Also, Trace's team has way more coverage

@@staringcorgi6475 Yeah but they could've made him stronger the first time around since the level difference between giovanni's highest leveled mon and lorelei's first mon is 1. Besides the rematch is not as important as the first fight imo.

Yeah I see what you mean but, it's quite obvious that your rival will be the champion in this game because, it litterally cannot be anyone else and the game isn't that unpredictable enough to make Blue or even Red the final battle...enough said

Tbh, I don’t like trace as a rival. Game freak probably thought their rivals were too mean to the players when in fact they were great. Trace doesn’t give me any motivation to beat.

Why does the champion in this game use their ace Pokémon right away? I mean Literally all champions before this saved their strongest till last, and Diantha and Steven had Mega Pokémon as their ace in XY and ORAS.
Hmm don't really like that raise in evasion simply because of friendship, holding on with 1 hp I can understand due to the bond you'd have with your pokemon but that shouldn't translate into evasiveness.
That whole mechanic is bullshit
Seeing as Red and Lance or Steven and Wallace share the same themes as Champion

It is, in fact, the male protagonist's default outfit
I used pikachu, starmie, nidoking, charizard, clefable, and Gengar
I used Eevee, Gyarados, Dragonite, Clefable, Raichu and Ninetales
Unlike in Sun and Moon they managed to mention whose Key Stone the mega stones react to
BRUH the blatant affection cheating gets me so tight. GameFreak keeps making these games way too easy.
I like it because it adds unpredictability
And the pokemons are not just stats, they have willpower too. I just think the elite four and the champion should have that affection cheating too
The final rival battle in this game is a bit harder than Blue in the old games but this game is still easy because you don't need to grind as much and you could beat it quicker than 15 hours if you really tried.

Does this game take place after Red disappears and Lance becomes champion again or did Trace really beat Red to become champion? Also I assume this takes place before Gold and Sliver because it is still the Gen 1 elite four
It's in a situation where Red and Blue are older and had their journey a few years ago (IIRC, Blue offhandedly mentions that instead of the fancy Pokédex the player has, he had to actually write everything down in a book or something), but otherwise takes place at the same time as RGBY with the same overall events.
