Sprouts are more nutrient dense, low in fat, high in vegetable proteins, vitamins, minerals, enzymes and chlorophyll. Sprouts are an easy and safe way to provide nutritious food for all birds. Sprouts are beneficial to weaning birds, breeding birds and all birds.

Im steve 50 in uk i got a cockatiel called lucy. Whose loving loves me to bits .also i got budgie called bubbles lol . Your bubbles is very cute lovely bird.

I have been sprouting seeds for my birds, too, and using the Easy Sprouter, but after seeing your vid, I’m going to switch to a glass jar.

My second cockatiel was named Bubble instead of Bubbles. She was a girl normal gray one.

It's important to note that it is much easier to get a pet bird to eat sprouts when they are started at a young age. Getting a bird from a pet store where all they get fed are seeds make it very difficult then to get the bird to eat sprouts when they are brought home.

How about all my sprouting greens and seeds from Park seed company from Greenville, South Carolina? You can buy them in bulk and it stays a lot of money
i thought for some reason that one had to get a mix of grains, legumes, seeds and such that was specifically labelled for pet birds. I didn't realize for a long time that one can just use those ingrdients marketed towards people, I guess.
You can do either. Its easier to buy a mix but more affordable to mix your own.
I have a picky budgie when it comes to fresh vegetables and fruits. I want to try to see if he can eat sprouts but don't want to go all out and buy different seeds if he won't touch them. Can you recommend maybe best seeds to start off with ?

Hi, if there is a sprout tail then yes. Also they can eat it soaked without the tail.

3 peas soup mix that contains green split peas, yellow split peas and red split lentils
Soft Oats
