Thank you! I’m working on another at the moment! 😆
You're a master and an artist!!! That was so much fun to watch.
☺️ You’re so sweet! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Great video!!! Your voice is so nice to go along with an instructional video!!!!
🥰 thank you so much!
I’ve just started making tumblers so I am still make mistakes all over the place and I am definite learning about unscrewing the turner which I had happen while turning when I’ve been away and my pretty geode tumbler that was on its last layer looked like a lumpy mess.... I love this one I saw a picture on Pinterest...I am totally going to try it... I love cowhide... it turned out so good...
Thank you so much! This customer just ordered another one just like it! I have been at it over a year and I still make mistakes. Don’t get discouraged & I hate when my arms get loose, it’s one of my paranoias!
I love this! I want to purchase one. It’s beautiful.
Leslie Williams-Lacy ☺️ thank you! You can message me at facebook.com/thepurplestitch when you’re ready.
Very pretty 😍
Thank you great video 🥰
🥰thanks so much!!
Wow! You were made to do tutorials 😻❤️
☺️
It did turn out great! I did a black and white cow cup with alcohol inks and it turned out very cute! I painted the cup flat white, then used makeup sponges that I picked the end off to make it uneven then I put the ink on the sponge and started making uneven spots all over. Sprayed clear coat over that after it was dry then epoxied over that! It came out so cute! Plus it was one of three cups that I did that was the first time doing cups. I did a blue kind of water color cup and a wood grain cup. The first two were resined with the hang method and the wood grain was resined on a cup Turner (I bought it on Amazon and it crapped out on me while doing the woodgrain cup so I had two drip marks on it. They weren't too bad. My son said it just have it character! 😉) If you want to see pictures of these let me know! Love your work and your videos! 😺
I’d love to see those! I have the same name on Facebook!
Beautiful
Thank you!!
Oh my goodness...this is so nice
😊 thank you!
Wow, really good job 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😍😍
Thank you! 🥰 I’m working on another one now!
The best way to remove excess water on top of water slide is to use q-tips
where did u get your cow hide image please
Google. Send me a message at facebook.com/thepurplestitch with your email and I'll be happy to forward it!
Maybe try the tumbler without that little bulge thing!!! Maybe that would help because its not a wonky shape 💜 other then that looks great thanks for sharing!
Where did u get your image from?
Just google images. If you’ll send me your email through messenger, I’ll email it to you. Www.Facebook.Com/thepurplestitch
Great work. Thank you for the video as I have been thinking of doing cowhide and was wondering about a water slide but also the real cowhide. I am watching for you to post your next steps on that... doesn’t using the actual cowhide make the cup thicker and heavier? I am sure the smaller cup helps. I loved how this turned out and thank you for sharing!
I’m in the last stages of the real hide video. Just had to stop for orders and now masks. 🥰
What kind of printer do have?
It’s an Epson Xp 446. I use the printers at the library as well.
@@ThePurpleStitch THANK YOU
Learning new that there are more ways to do this.. I've never seen a water slide be done on front side against the tumbler. I slide the paper off from underneath the front image never from top. The tumbler looks beautiful! Thanks for posting!!
You’re welcome! I’ve done it with inkjet as well, but this one was laser. It’s really frustrating when I intend to do it this way and forget to mirror my image! 🤣
What brand of epoxy do you use? It so clear!
Right now I’m using Envirotex lite from Michaels.
Girl, you did that!! Thank you for sharing I have learned so much from you. I’m new to the Tumbler World!
Awww! Thank you and I’m so glad you’re getting something out of them!! 🥰
Cooool!
Thank you!
What’s best way to ship a tumbler? When I mailed some to my kids in Alaska. Did the flat rate med box. But there was other gifts. Want to just ship 1 Ideas please
what clear coat did you use?
Im new to the tumbler and im trying to find a better epoxy any help would be appreciated.
I’ve only used a handful. I’ve done Alumalite, Pro Marine, and envirotex lite. I prefer Envirotex lite so far since it works great for me and I can easily get it at Michaels.
What kind of printer did you use because I need a better one??????? ASAP
Confession: I print these at my local library on the highest quality setting on their laser jet. Sorry I don’t have an amazing answer!
Did you epoxy the water slide yet when you put the glitter on
I added eopoxy up to where I wanted the glitter, glitter, then let it cure. I blew off the excess glitter, then clear coated, then epoxied over everything. :)
How long did you allow the epoxy to cure for the top portion of the cup?
I waited about a day. But only because I was at work. If it was a weekend, it would’ve only been overnight before applying glitter.
That was just beautiful thanks for sharing
🥰 thank you!!
where do you get the waterslide cowhide image?
I found a google image and saved it. Message me your email and I’ll forward it to ya! Www.Facebook.Com/thepurplestitch
Where did you find the cow print? It’s awesome
How much you charge for something like this??
I sell my 30 ounce for $35. Some areas that’s low though.
Where did you find the cowhide?
I found a few images on google, but I tend to use this one the most. Send me your email through my Facebook page and I’ll send them. Www.Facebook.Com/thepurplestitch
What is the measurement for the waterslide?
That’s a great question!! I just measured my cup and “winged” it. 😆
where did you get your image from i have an order for a cup like this help me please??? :)
I found the image online. If you’ll message me your email through my Facebook page, I’ll forward it to you. I’m leaving for a cruise this afternoon, so if you can send me that ASAP, I’ll be able to forward today rather than Tuesday. 🙂
Im looking for an image also. Can you tell me what you searched. Its rough finding one!
Where did you purchase your cowhide decal?
I found an image I liked and just printed it at the library. I do believe there might be a seller or two that sells preprinted water slides on Etsy.
Where did you get the glitter catch tray?
Here's what I ordered. You can find them in the beading section of most craft stores as well. amzn.to/2SqbWOt
What font did you use???
I’m almost positive that it is Magnolia Sky. 🙂
Thank you!!!! Love love love your work!!!
Were do you get your glitter from
Almost all of my glitter has come from www.fransglitterandmore.com (this one was Zoey). I’ve recently discovered www.simplebeginningstumblers.com and www.aberrantsupplies.net. All 3 have great prices and offerings!
Here’s a referral link for a $5 off coupon to Frans (or use the discount at the top of the page). Simple beginnings has code NEWCOMER for 10% off. And Aberrant has a code for 10% off as well. I think it was SAVE.
Thank you ! Love your work
I’m not gonna lie, I was a little concerned at first... but dang that came out great! 🤓
Thank you!
🤣 I’m not going to lie, I was a little concerned at first, too! But I figured the video wouldn’t have to see the light of day of it was a fail!🤣
I’m so glad it turned out, though! It was a rush because I let it slip through the cracks order!
you need to put epoxy in the name oh you no longer need to cover...
What kind of clear coat did you use?
JOANN CLARK I have been using Envirotex lite for a good bit now. It’s what I’ve used in all videos so far. You can get it at Michaels or I’ve posted Amazon links on the supplies post. 😁
The Purple Stitch Thank you.
