    Watching this back. I have just realized that I said white printable vinyl. It was regular 631 vinyl, I apologize for any confusion on my part.

      Did you epoxy after the wood grain and before you did the crackle?

      @@valeriejackson8160 Yes I sealed the wood grain, once dry I applied the epoxy.

      did you epoxy after adding the ink? when you came back after it drying it looked so shiny like it was epoxy.

    I paint my wood grain yellow makes the wood grain effect so easy / love the "gold" will try that next .

    I am new to tumblers and I'm working my way through all the techniques. I was super disappointed when most everyone was saying waterslide decals could only be done on light colored cups. Your technique is genius and definitely a DUH moment. Thank you for sharing. Your videos are great!

    That is beautiful! I have never tried the wood grain yet, but after seeing this, I am a lot more confident to try making one like this! I love the crackle look on just about everything, but I have never seen it on a tumbler until now. That turned out absolutely stunning! I can't wait to try this!     Sometimes you have happy accidents. When I first started doing the wood grain cups, I tried all different kinds of brushes, I used different ones for different effects.

    Gorgeous! I've been doing decopauge for quite awhile now, and decided to incorporate it into the cups. I love love love doing the crackle on cups! Hint, the thicker the glue the larger the crackle, & I always use browns & tans & metallic colors on the cups.
