1. Use MSPSL routine
2. Assess the junction early
3. Is it Open or Closed view?
Arriving to the junction:
1. Position your vehicle to the right ( if possible 1 meter away from the curb or obstructions)
2. ‘Give Way’ - rolling gear change ( usually 1st gear)
3. if it is stop 🛑 sign you mast stop ‘Stop Line’ before changing gear
4. Effective observation both sides before making your decision !
5. Decide to wait or continue driving?
6. To use Handbrake or not ?
Remember - Vehicles on major road, have priority and should not need to change speed or position for you, as you join the road.
As you Emerging from side road to main road:
1. Check door mirrors
2. Use Creep and peep technique to emerge?
3. Look where you’re going when steering out!
As you enter the new road;
1. Mirrors
2. Cancel sign
3. Make progress
