You ladies saved me some money! I saw this line in Sallys and thought it would be perfect for my tight 3c curls. But I hesitated since it looked too heavy for my fine strands. The halo of frizz would be my outcome too. I learned something new when you mentioned Laurie Anne heat training her hair also.

I save the best for last! Watching this while sipping some hibiscus 🌺 tea ☕️! Y'all are spoiling us and I'm here for it! Yay! Love this impromptu video, first impressions! Love the change of scenery, makes me feel like you invited me over and we're chatting! I may try this line, but I'm not in a rush, especially since, over here 🇨🇦, we might only get it in a couple of months, and by the time we do have it, Shea Moisture will have 12 other new lines! 🤣 Besides, I have very fine strands, although I'm 3C-4A/B...and I'm low-po. I feel like Shea Moisture comes up with the same line, but with a difference of an ingredient or 2. I might try the gel, though. I think your hair (both of you) looks so beautiful and I really don't mind a little frizz. LoriAnne, I think your hair is growing but I also did notice a little elongation. I never know what to make of such claims though (stretch, elongation, etc). TaylorAnne, your hair looks amazing, your bangs are just the perfect length, you can do no wrong! I wanted this line simly because it was new new and I'm a product junkie! I haven't tried it yet but thank you for this. That residuey, shiny, butter butter butter shea, coco, land o' lakes whatever it is is a huge deterant for me. That feeling is how I felt with the Talia Waajid line even though after your video I want to try it again lol. They added to their Manuka Line as well which I want to try out ASAP!!
Your hair looks very soft. I can definitely tell it weighs your hair down a bit it doesn't look as full but I do really like it!! I think momma has some heat damage, be careful on using the high heat on your hair dryer. The "Curldoctor" in LA calls is blow frying instead of blow drying lol. Love you guys! 💜

It's butter baby! You guys are spoiling us this week. Don't know if a product can truly elongate your curls, especially if you have type 3/4 hair. You'll have to stretch it out somehow yourself. I'm all for thick creams, but I don't like my hair to be too greasy.
Kristy Payne This is a very heavy product. Very heavy. There was no elongating our curls with this product. It actually shrunk up. I don’t know where SM got those claims at? I don’t know. I look for elongation that doesn’t stretch out my curl/coils to the extent where the curl/coil falls out(if that makes sense). I love this line for my look and uses.
They put glycerin in all their products. That’s causes shrinkage for me. I switched to product lines that don’t use glycerin. My curls are always longer when there’s no glycerin.

Tori M Ellis not necessarily. I use Alikay Naturals’ Lemongrass Leave-In and their Shea Yogurt for my wash n go’s and they don’t have glycerin. My hair is actually more moisturized and my hair definitely shrinks waaaaaaay less just because of the lack of glycerin.
OMG!! That product dries my hair out. Crazy, everyone's hair is so different.
Tori M Ellis You’re so right. Our hair is so different. I get 9-day wash n go’s from those two products. And moisturized 9 day wash n go’s. But that’s why it’s so important to know what works for each of us specifically.

Hi Ladies! Congratulations on your Amazon Store! I will take a look at it! Your hairs look beautiful but I don't believe it elongates. I know when I buy any product that says "elongate," it does the opposite to my hair. I'm not too fond of Shea Moisture products because they are so heavy and thick on my hair. I use the JBO Leave-in as a styling product and I only tap or dip my finger in it and then apply it to my hair. I usually use the Deva Curl Shampoo and Conditioner Decadence line and then as a masque I use the Deva Curl Melt into Moisture. This is all I use, I cannot find a styling product I like. I also feel the butter on my hair when I use Shea Moisture Products. But I agree, I look forward to the warmer weather when you can go out with wet hair. Thanks for the first impression video!
Daisy Castillo You’re Welcome. No, this product will not give you elongated curls, not at all. But we did get lots of Curl definition. I would love to see you two do it again but using the Curly Hair Method. They claim the CGM prevents frizz if you do it their way. I am hoping their method will alleviate the need for gel!!! I love Lorraine Massey the founder of the Curly Girl Method and wrote the book. You two are pretty!! I don't use the Gelee because it contains alluminum.

I hate anything with cocoa butter so I probably won't be using this line, but the hair looks great. However, I did get the new Coconut Hibiscus hair masque, which I can't wait to try. Are you planing to release a video about the new conditioner?

Dawson Carter They are definitely weighed down not heavy to the touch but with the heaviness of the product ingredients.....oils and butters. When we touch our hair our hands come away with that shiny oily feel, but strangely enough the curls are light weight and sorta blowy. ➰➰

Maria Zapata That’s Awesome about you making your own flaxseed Gel. And I know I know, you guys are not having me cause heat damage on my hard earned hair. I swear, I won’t put a drop of heat near these curls. I do believe I have caused heat damage in those spots TaylorAnne pulled up in the top of my hair. I just started this blow drying thing the last couple,of weeks to get the results quicker and not be waiting around all,day for my hair to dry. You know how adamant we were in the Summer. Then the winter rolled around and we wanted to still put out the content. But could LoriAnne be content with diffusing 😂 of course I couldn’t, I took it up a notch and now look what I’ve done. But I saw the damage last night. The “blow frying” as one woman said in the comments 😂😂😂 stops today! No more for me. I’ve come waaaay too far to be this negligent now, you know how far I’ve come, Maria. You know! 😂 I’ll just give myself plenty of time to allow my hair to air dry properly but this rushing to get my hair dry is ridiculous. I’m done. You guys “came for me” in Love in the comments. yes i know. i sometimes get rushed to dry my hair so i completely understand the struggle. You think it's really that bad?? gotta pull out the deep treatments. this winter has been harsh on my hair. first time i'm experiencing like dullness and dryness. i'm going to wash my hair tonight and put a deep treatment on. i know you can bounce back you ladies have a lot of experience with your hair.
Maria Zapata No, I don’t think there was permanent damage. I stayed away from heat today for drying and when my hair was dry that section where the damage was causing straight pieces had bounced back. Now, NO MORE DRYERS FOR ME 😂😂😂

You really shouldn't use hot air when you blow dry your hair. It's not good for it...No this product doesn't seem to elongate your hair. My hair texture is also 3A-3C. I like your impromptu video...it was really cute. I also like your hair. I haven't tried the line...I doubt I will. Thanks for your video.
Samantha Ivy I know Samantha. I am seriously going to stop with this horrible habit I have picked up the last couple of weeks. Those straight pieces of hair are not cool. I just will give myself plenty of drying time and stop rushing the process up with the blow dryer. I’ve come too far to mess up now. It’s taken me a year to get my hair where I want it. I think it smells like sweet cocoa butter, but I'm not that great at identifying scents. I hate the smell, but I think I'm in the minority. I asked a bunch of people to smell my hair, and everyone liked it.
Alexandria East That’s a pretty accurate way of identifying the smell. We can’t really pinpoint the smell yet. Hopefully by the time we film our complete thoughts on this line we will have an accurate description on the smell. 😂😊➰💕➿

But if you have fine hair this line is indeed too heavy and I can see why people with that hair type wouldn’t care for this line. It’s way too much for that texture.
