- M.A.D. CURLS having enjoyed our first experience with the Mane Choices’ Ancient Egyptian Line featuring the 24k Gold Gel, decided to explore further. We set our sights on their Pink Lemonade and Coconut Curl Boosting Sherbet, for Our latest “One and Done” from this line. We carefully coated every strand to ensure it’s best success. The lack of slip during the application process was quickly forgotten as the final results were clearly moisturized by the carefully selected ingredients, one being the coconut. It is very moisturized and not at all greasy. We were pleasantly surprised by these results and this Mane Choice Sherbet has found a solid place in the M.A.D. CURLS arsenal. 1922mistyblue Thank you. I loved my short hair too. But, now that it’s summer and I am noticing an enormous amount of shrinkage I’ll wait on getting a cut to bring it back to mu shorter hair. I loved my hair like TaylorAnne’s hair was longer so she had that sweep bang thing because of her length but then she cut her hair and that look kinda disappeared which she regrets very much so we are both kind of at a stand still trying to decide what our next moves will be. They call this natural hair journey a “journey”and it certainly is that. The hard part for us is that we can’t hide. Our good and bad days are recorded for all to see. But I guess we signed up for this. Haha! Thank you for watching us🤓🦁💕🤓

I wish this didn’t have coconut oil. My hair is coconut oil sensitive and it makes my hair feel like straw. You both had beautiful results. Deep conditioning is my jam, so I would love to see different videos on that. I'd also like to see you with different hairstyles than wash N go's...although I can't do twists outs, braid outs or any of those, I look crazy! I have yet to try The Mane Choice, they just dropped another line (Clover leaf , just saw a video on the deep conditioner). Would you buy this product again? The thing is, I hate having to fight with the product for me to like it...But, as usual, your results look so good! I have a very similar hair type/texture and my results were the same using this particular product. I ended up giving it away because of the lack of slip. My wash n go came out fine...but it was missing the umph. I tried the Mane Choice 24k twisting gel because of you ladies and i love it. Thanks for the reviews. Keep up the great work.
D Blair We can definitely relate to that. The product is a fantastic product however the application product is somewhat of a struggle with more hair loss then we are comfortable with because of the lack of slip. We absolutely loved the 24kt line. We fought over that line, haha! 😂😂😂 who would keep it in their room and we heard about the 4leaf clover line or something like that. But we heard it was for type 4hair texture so who knows. They said Mielle Pomegranate was for type 4’s and we got great results. That why we continue to stress you must try these brands and products for thyself 😂😂😂😊➰

For the most part I only do Wash-n-go's too, with the occational bun or pointail. Twistouts/Braidouts/rollersets/Bantu knots...etc. would be cool to see! Even if it takes you time to learn the process...it's still fun to watch as you learn.

Yess I noticed that the Walgreens in certain areas have more range of natural hair products. Then go to the ones in my area, have three rows of natural hair products. It seems like they do this in area that predominantly don’t purchase curly hair products. Idk if it’s a plot in their scheme like Walmart putting natural hair products behind glass 😒🤔 idk Idc i think every store should have the same products available.

Binge watching your videos :) and I loved these results! May have to give this line a try. I've heard really good things about the mousse from this line. I'm a fan of the shampoo, conditioner, mask and 3-in-1 conditioner (as a leave-in) from The Mane Choice's original line.
Mask Mondays!! I love your curls, I'm transitioning from heat damage and I'm about to be 8 months natural and my curls are getting tight and cute similar to you guy's hair types. I want to stay away from color but after I get my hair to a healthy state I would want highlights similar to you guy's because they look beautiful.

The mane choice is just not for my hair. And this I couldn't use alone because I had to use alot and didn't go on my hair smooth. So I'm completely done with mane choice. But glad it continues to work for you guys. And I'd love to see the mask Mondays! And maybe u can do like finger coil Friday and or shingling Saturday instead of twist out and braid out 😁😁😁 I'd love to see that

Yes to the mask reviews and the braid/twist outs! Your results came out great, maybe if you used a leave-in conditioner under the sherbet it would go on easier and you could use less product (although I know that defeats the one and done lol). I want to try this product now lol

We have never practiced the Curly Girl method. We enjoy being natural and buying and trying an enormous amount of products, but in all honesty we do not turn them
over and study the ingredients. Silicones in our opinion have their place in hair care products so we have never been hung up on that word. We practice washing and conditioning and deep conditioning to keep our hair healthy and growing, and that’s where it begins and ends for us. We hope we have answered your question.

We don’t own anything from this line yet. Not knowing much about the line, but just to try to help you out a little until we can buy the product. Customarily, when a product says “moisturizer” on it it’s generally used for a finishing styler after your hair has been styled by a gel or a cream. Kinda like a next day moisture booster or refresher. But this is strictly a rough guess. I probably wouldn’t use this type of product as a styler directly on wet hair after a shampoo and conditioner. Especially if your curl pattern is in the 3a-3c range. We will try to look into these products. Thank you for your comments and for watching our channel. 😊💕➰➿

Sherie Mack Both products gave different results. They both have phenomenal Moisture, even the next day. The drawback with The Mane Choice was its lack of slip which we felt caused us to use more product than we really needed to. There is a learning curve with this product so it’s not as simple as just putting it in your hair. You have to figure out the balance. Once you can figure that out, the results will give you a great Wash and Go. To make a long story short, we both agree that we prefer The Shea Moisture Red Palm Line. 😊➰💕➿

How often do you wash your hair?
Before RUclips, I (TaylorAnne) would wash my hair every 4-5 days, LoriAnne washed hers everyday. Now, however, depending on the product we wash our hair on average about every 2-3 days.

If you don't mind me asking, when you film, can you please look at the camera? You keep looking at the viewfinder/monitor so when the viewer is watching, you are not looking at us, you are both looking to the left of the screen. I'm not trying to be rude, it's just that it's difficult to connect with both of you because we are not getting eye contact, it feels like you're talking to someone else.

M.A.D.CURLS It's ok, I don't have fancy equipment either but my camera has a viewfinder in the same spot so it's really easy to just watch myself when I'm filming. But then when I play it back it doesn't really look like I'm looking at my audience. There are times when I have to watch myself but when I remember, I look back at the camera. I love the concept of your channel by the way 💕
Do you guys read the directions of the products before using them & use as directed before deviating & doing your own thing? Just curious.
Erika Lee Yes, we definitely read the directions before reviewing the product. With that said, we know our own hair so if a particular direction states that we do something that we know our hair will not do well with we adjust the directions to personalize them for our own experience. We encourage this on our channel to make your journey your own. For instance, you don’t have to use every product from every brand to have a successful Wash and Go. You can use your own Shampoo or Conditioner or use your own oil to scrunch out the cast, that your comfortable using. Make your natural hair journey your own. 😊➿➰➿💕
