Bought mine in March '82 NEW (get this) without even test driving it! We were a fit from the git-go! Nearing 37,000 miles now. Just occasionally riding but got the Classic plate last year so I'm done paying taxes on it. It's been garaged most of its life. Rode Seattle to San Diego (and back) in '83. Would get a bigger bike if such a road trip were to proceed again. Always loved how maneuverable this bike is and of course the very low maintenance needs. Very dependable! Dead battery? Just compression start! 42 years so far. Drove my S-10 Blazer for 26+ as well. Thanks for sharing the love with this fine bike.
My first street bike. Paid $400 in 1992 with 9000 miles. Only needed tires and a carb rebuild. Sold it to my best friend Scotty before i lost him. I wish i had them both back.
I just bought myself the same bike from a guy who had a bad back injury. He was sad to let it go but he couldnt ride it anymore. Needless to say ill be fixing it up and riding all around town.
I bought one of these new back in the 80's & put about 40k miles on it. I drove it every day for years. I loved everything about that bike other than how it was a pain to clean the wheels. Too many nooks and crannies and concave angles.

I owned one of these bikes from 1982-1992 and absolutely loved the bike. We put over 90,000 miles on that bike and it never let me down.
