Orion Pulse 150s - Pulse arc and resistance welder
A sharpened 1mm tungsten electrode is used for all the sample repairs. We used an alligator style grounding clip attached to the frames in the most convenient locations. 0.028" sterling silver fill wire was used for all the samples. Silver is an ideal choice for eyeglass repair because it can bond to several different metal types without issues. Selection of fill wire diameter can change the energy settings needed and the ease of filling the areas. It is best to select a diameter that is smaller than the thickness of the part being welded.
The Orion Pulse 150s is set between 12ws and 17ws energy depending on the thickness of the parts. The higher energy can be used to smooth the welded area after material has been added using fill wire. The placement of the fill wire in relation to the electrode affects how the metal flows and attaches. Correct orientation can be very important in achieving successful welds. Several layers can be placed along the surface that needs to be repaired to increase strength and build up the area for cosmetic purposes.
Brass frames can be difficult to weld due to the high zinc content. The zinc has a low boiling temperature and it burns out of the brass causing soot and choppy weld puddles. It can be helpful to add fill wire to both sides of the broken brass frames prior to joining them. The silver acts as a bridge material and allows a strong joint to form without boiling out too much zinc.
    Summary:
The Orion Pulse 150s is an ideal solution for repairing molds and dies. The touch screen user interface makes it easy for operators to quickly fine tune energy settings and find successful weld parameters. An articulating arm can be coupled with the Orion Pulse 150s to allow for greater workspace clearance and flexible positioning. Please note that the stylus can be removed from the microscope and used in a handheld manner if desired (easier to access some geometries).

I think you would be safe with the settings this video instructs to use. 15ws and no agitation.
