    I have a regular wired kill switch hidden in my 2020 300S, and I have the Tazer with Pin Lock. I also relocated the OBD Port with a Y Splitter and I installed a Dummy Port in the Factory Location. It has Power and Ground but no data connection to the Car. Great Video!

    I connected one like this at the battery and it would restart the ECU everytime so I installed another one that is in the glove box. Great video man, as someone with a 300, I love your channel.

      Thanks! Yeah, I definitely didn’t want to have it disconnect at the battery. That would have also disabled some of the other security measures I have in place.

    So I have a 2009 with keyed ignition, is it possible to convert to push to start? Would you push the same button to shut the engine off? Just curious.

      I’m sure it can be done. But I don’t know how much is involved in converting it. I’ve never seen anyone actually do it.

      @@300Reasons probably too much involvement to be worth the coolness. lol although if it’s anything like a trunk release with 2 or 3 wires, easy enough. Basically touching wires together and then breaking connection. I’d have to see the actual button I guess. But then there would be a safety issue I would think. Anyone could hop in and drive off. I don’t even know how stock buttons work in that scenario.

    If a thief made a duplicate key fob, couldn’t they press the remote start button to start the engine?

    • @300Reasons
      @300Reasons  3 дня назад

      Yeah they could start it. But once they get in they wouldn’t be able to press the start button to allow it to be put in to drive. And even if they did somehow enable the button, they would then have to know the pin code for my Tazer in order to drive it. Also, the second they started it I would be alerted by my Carlock device.
      It’s all about multiple layers of security. 🔒

    As mentioned, great video, and thanks for sharing. Very informative and straight to the point without all the extra. I am ordering one of these for the Charger. I already have the neutral strap cover and an airtag hidden in the car. There have been a few Chargers stolen from the neighborhoods close to mine. So it's time to add a little more protection.
