Thanks a lot for the video happen to come across it and found it very informative I have a 2103 sport with hemi also and have been wanting to upgrade to CarPlay as well I actually found a Tesla monitor on eBay that I’ve been looking into but hesitant on the installation
Appreciate the insight. I have a 13C 5.7L AWD w/all of the trimmings and my BT module stopped working. My Nav went out shortly after. I've been using my SD card reader for music. Lol. Miss the advantages of working BT. This may be a viable solution.
Great Job! I didn't knew it would be possible to add Car Play for these years. I also noted the ambient lighting you have, can you share the link of it please?
Did you have issues with steering wheel buttons not working? I do have a tazer which has the 2.5.1 update. Only way to flip through pages is to press back and cruise control.
I just installed this same system in my 2012 checy volt and after using it for a day i am not that happy. Sounds through bt stutter, get disconnects while bluetooth connection is still there. Navigation is slow...always behind where i am. No idea why i have al this issues
I'm about to turn in my company car (2024 Subaru Legacy) and move to a 2012 300 (3.6, rwd, 8 speed) with a busted bluetooth module. I don't want to go back to not having Android Auto and 90% of the options I've found online have been a full tesla-style giant touchscreen conversion for like a grand. I wanted to keep the stock HVAC controls. Can't thank you enough for this tutorial and product link. Wish you would get some kickback from my order
Absolutely. The Tesla screens from what I’ve seen look extremely tacky and cheap. and don’t seem to operate very well. This is the best of both worlds because you get to keep the factory controls and SRT pages that I added. But you also get CarPlay.
No! Get the Tesla screen most definitely! You missing out if you don’t get it. You can still put the lights in with the new Tesla screen. Plus the Tesla screen comes with car play and many other features
@@Georgesgarage24they operate fine and changes the whole look. Some people who chose not to get them just can’t afford to get it or don’t want to spend that kind of money on it .

I believe this works on the charger exactly the same as it does on my car. There’s a video on YT somewhere of a guy doing this same thing to a charger I’m pretty sure
@@Georgesgarage24 yup i bought it and come in today and there is a way for the backup camera to pop up when you put it in reverse while using CarPlay seller told me there’s a c cable that’s needs to be connected to the reverse light and change a setting for it to work

Not sure if you already figured out the touch screen offset issue, but there is a jumper solution on the unit that a fellow youtuber has. ruclips.net/video/ZYciva3Q_Vg/видео.html has the Dodge Charger install of the same unit and he also had the offset issue with the buttons. There is a procedure from the manufacturer using a jumper switch that calibrates the screen. Good video, and follow the above link for the charger version.
The camera didn't stop recording liar... You stopped it because the touch screen was t working, and that doesn't link good for the product you just installed and are marketing.
Oh yeah and where did u get those dope ass lights there sick!
the touch calibration setting is jumper 2 on the unit then boot it up push the targets then switch the jumper back to off

Question is we're did you got the led strips i want them in my 300 they look badass!!
Honestly I’ve had so many comments on them over the last few months, I might make another vid just for them! But I just got them off Amazon!
@@Georgesgarage24 can you give me the actual name for them.

Same!! I couldn’t justify the 300$ for a new Bluetooth module when the factory interface wasn’t even that good. This seemed to be a good replacement!

I don’t have the link anymore unfortunately. But if you go on Amazon and look up car ambient interior lighting, it should pop up.
