Jason hit every nail on the head with this review. I, too, got sucked into the lore of, "if it ain't Merican', it's shit!" while we watch a Trijicon RMR review on our Chinese phones. I picked up a HS507C-X2 Green off a Marketplace steal for brand new and proceeded to absolutely obliterate a 30 yard IPSC silhouette with the hostage target the size of my hand - doling out lasers and flipping it back and forth with a Boogeyman Customs LaLlorona G22 build that I built just to make the 9MM fanboys squirm. Having said that, I recently met someone at the range with HOLOSUN 507C-X2 ACSS Vulcan. Now I want one. With the RMR, if I'm squared up I will always find the dot. Just got one and fired some rounds with it. I'm glad I bought it. My only issue is with the auto brightness. I tried it in a low light setting and it works great until YOU are the one in the light trying to shoot something in a low lit area. The reticle gets too bright, and blocks out what you're aiming at. So I'm fine with a low-mid brightness setting. Other than that, I think it's a good buy

I bought the 507k X2 a year ago, the smaller model, and concur with everything you mentioned. The 507k doesn't have solar or other features, and it requires a modified RMR plate. I find level 5/6 to be best as well, otherwise the brightness overwhelms or gets lost against the target. Age too has affected my eyes, hence my new attraction to red dots over iron sights. I do find green easier on the eyes, especially outdoors. As you mentioned just easier to pick up. For me, the red setting tends to get lost against outdoor backgrounds. I do prefer the 32MOA over the 2MOA, - old eyes and I do not think it likely that I will need to engage targets much beyond 30 yards with a compact 9mm. The combo 32+2MOA is definitely information overload on the brain.
I been riding with Hilo son since the HS525GM, all the options are amazing I have 2. They changed the game and unquestionably reliable. Offer more value than other expensive brands. Holosun isn’t cheap anymore, it’s an established brand now. Expect to pay 60-80% of Trijicon and Leupold. Can’t go wrong either way.
I actually really enjoy the auto brightness setting! I feel like for me, if I set it to a 7 or 6 brightness, it either works great outside but too damn bright once inside, and then works great inside but too dim outside. So I personally run this optic in auto, so far has been working out great for me!
Stand 10 feet away from a door in the dark ,aim your sight at thatdoor turn ur flash light on and see how with auto brightness that light at the door makes the holographic completely disappear
Love my Holosun HS407K-X2 The 6 MOA Dot is better for my bad eyesight and I can turn it down brightness wise for a crisp sight. Being a direct fit for my P365xl was a good thing as well.

I'm 2yrs in and 15,000rds on my G19 with a gen 1 507c using the RMR footprint. I will say that the older ones need the RMR SS base plate. I ran the same gun at a class in central CA that you taught for my group. Hope to see you in the range again soon man. Tonay says "hi".
Are you going to check out the eotech when it comes out? From the vids I saw it doesn’t have any blueing on the window. Hopefully you’ll get a chance to review it for us!
Did you slave it to the front sight post or would you suggest it I have one I am going to mount to a mr920l which they say will cowittness or would you do a 15 yard zero
15 yard zero. But start with a laser bore sight first to get it really close and then take it to the range and make the remaining adjustments. Slaving it to your front sight will cause height over bore to be way off. And even then, these optics require you to learn height over bore at close range and long range so you can account for every round.
Am not gonna comment on the chinese vs american, but i did have bad experience with holosun cracking glass (didnt fall) my sro fell mounted in my gun, not even a scratch. So buy once cry once for me. You have a valid point on the rmr tint though its not an issue for me, the SRO doesnt have that much tint
Thanks for the info, i got one of those sights and was running the dot and the reticle. Seemed way to busy, was concerned that the dot alone was too small at 2 moa. but honestly its really bright so works well. 2moa on this optic is just fine.
Another reason maybe to biy one is just to see what you like or dislike about rmr. I put one on a 22 just to see how I liked it. Under 10m for self-defence gun, I don't want one. For longer distance they are great.
I just bought the Holosun 507c x2 acss. Currently, my glock 23 has night sight from Ameriglo. It has an orange circle with a green dot that lights up at night. The Holosun 507c that I bought is a red dot sight. My question is, should I remove the ameriglo front sight and replace it with a regular black front sight with no night sight dot? Would having the ameriglo front night sight with the green dot throw off the holosun red dot sight?
I’ve never ran that combo however I like the Ameriglo. The only issue I had with them is once the barrel heats up it will melt the fiber out of the front sight. I run straight black front and back personally. Train with it and see how you like it.
I wish holosun would make a model with bigger glass. If the new Swampfox justice had clicks for the adjustments, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. But, I've got be 407C on my Walther PDP, and it's good enough. I have an astigmatism, so I may end up trying a green dot to see if I can see it without the lightening bolts coming off of the dot.
If you need a knife for personal protection in concealed carry that you can absolutely trust your life on, then T Kell Knives designs exactly what your looking for! And the best part is you don't need to have any special training or skills to use, but if you have training you know what you can do!
I got a 507 c x2 as well and i love it took some getting used to , but now thst i train with it and put tounds on it it helps me get shots on target fster than irons .
The solar cell augments the battery life too. As far as I know the only time the battery kicks on is when the solar isn't strong enough to operate the unit
this is a solid breakdown thank you sir! i recently picked one of these up I love it! I can sympathize with complaints that the auto feature tends to make the reticle too dim so i run it in manual mode. Looking into to it apparently the solar feature only works in auto mode which is a bummer, don't know if it's a limitation of the hardware or a design choice.
I'm currently in the market for a red dot for my Springfield Ronin 9 mm 1911 and the 507k is what the gunsmith is recommending just wondering if you knew if the 507k and the 507c had the same footprint thank you. Great review
My opinion on the Chinese products… I’m not upset at the Chinese, I’m more upset that American made items aren’t made at the same quality, for the same features, for the same price. “AmEriCaN iS mAdE bEtTeR. ThAtS wHy yOu pAy mOrE.” Ok… but as the end user, made “better” does me no good if I can’t afford it. That’s a poor excuse for not wanting to compete price wise. Holosun is currently wiping the floor with Trijicon’s face. And if trijicon or any other American made optic wants to step their game up, they’ll need to maintain their quality, at a lower price point. Sure, American made would be cool. But it isn’t cool enough to me to spend another $200 more for. I’ll gladly stick with my Holosun 😂
There are only 3 places for optics glass, Zeiss (German) and Nikon (Japanese) own the market for optics glass. The only scope I know of that has american made glass is the Vortex AMG
I ditched the Vortex Viper after 6 years of service for this optic. The biggest issues with the Vortex is that it has manual locking screws that sit in front of the irons so you have to remove the dot to try and zero it or replace the battery, not to mention the adjustment screws are trash. It holds zero but getting it zeroed is a nightmare.
I also love the shake wake on this I did watch your zero video and this is going to be my edc so I'm thinking of front sight slaving the dot your opion and semper fi
I do not recommend slaving the dot to the front sight. You want the dot to be it’s own separate aiming point. If you’re slacking to the front sight, you might as well keep your irons
Very good video I am going to get one for my Ruger Mark 4 Tactical I can't see those sites on it. I do buy American guns when I like them, but Glock isn't American and how many people love them. I do like Ruger but I do like Glocks also. Go Army LOL had to say that Thanks good video!!!
I have a brand new 507c that has only been on my Glock for 200 rounds, it’s been about a month or 2 and I’ve replaced the battery twice because of failure. I only have it on the recommended brightness or a little more when outside. Just replaced the battery yesterday and it’s already dead today. Piece of shit is broken, BRAND NEW.
Great content n it's unfortunate we have everything these days made in China but it's reality that they wrk for less and can live and survive happily over there meanwhile here we wrk for so little and and!!!! Everything's price keeps increasing, so of course we not gonna wrk for the few dollars the Chinese do it for we just have to accept it and hopefully the government can make the changes that allow us to happily buy and live off all American made products and supplies till then if a country does it better and for less I can't complain or hate on em we should be thanking them
It's 50000 battery life on setting 6 its 100000 if u have it on solar automatic and u can only see that in absolute perfect conditions thats y Ihave the rmr and 507c and i prefer the rmr I like having mine set on automatic i dont like having to hit the button to change brightness depending on the conditions and for my eyes the rmrs automatic brightness is always perfect or a level to bright and I'd rather have it to bright then not bright enough don't get me wrong I like the 507c and the 508t and wouldn't hesitate to use um just perfer the rmr
Isn’t it interesting as to how Americans look at our past and slavery, and yet we’re still willing to support it. Even though most of us have absolutely NO say in it. It is truly a shame that this country is as young as it is and became the greatest country in the world over night, in terms of how old civilization is, and it’s falling just as fast. All because some politicians and business folks are willing to take American ingenuity out of this country for ultra cheap labor. Only to bring it right back for us to purchase. Don’t get me wrong, I’m for world trade. But I much prefer the thought of trading needed natural resources and the ingenuity of others.
Evil has been able to master the manipulation of mankind of several thousand years so naturally the time it takes in newer civilizations will decrease each time. 🙏

I might have missed it but the knife you're wearing on your belt what is that one and why are you carrying it?? it's a very odd shaped blade thank you
thought I would like the outer ring on the 507cx2 . went to single dot mode
It’s all about preference. 🙏
Hell of good video!!!
I have the newest chevron model and it's completely amazing is just like looking through a acog.
So does the x2 or v2 have the battery on the side? Getting conflicting info
I can verify it fits Rmr cut slides I have a brownells Rmr slide on my g19 gen 4 and the holosun hs507c x2 went right on no issues
Jason is a great guy. Trained with him a while back.
Your wishes have been answer, 507Comp.
We cannot buy red dot in South Africa, it is too expensive.
Love your videos - greetings from South Africa.
Could you tell me what holster you're using?
LAO Performance
@@frogmantactical rad. Thank you for the response!
If you need a knife for personal protection in concealed carry that you can absolutely trust your life on, then T Kell Knives designs exactly what your looking for! And the best part is you don't need to have any special training or skills to use, but if you have training you know what you can do!
What holster are you running?
LOA Performance
I got a 507 c x2 as well and i love it took some getting used to , but now thst i train with it and put tounds on it it helps me get shots on target fster than irons .
100% Brother!!
Have the 507cx2 on my Elite SC love it.
The solar cell augments the battery life too. As far as I know the only time the battery kicks on is when the solar isn't strong enough to operate the unit
Also I removed my rmr and changed battery zero maintained the same it all depends on how snug your cut or optic plate is
your comments about products made in china so true... people like to pick and choose what they like from china
this is a solid breakdown thank you sir! i recently picked one of these up I love it!
I believe the 507k is smaller than the 507c
507k is indeed a smaller footprint it was recommended because the slim profile
You gonna sell your RmR?!?
China invented gunpowder, just saying.
The holosun 508t is every bit as durable as the rmr due to the square hood and titanium construction sage dynamics did a review on it
There are only 3 places for optics glass, Zeiss (German) and Nikon (Japanese) own the market for optics glass. The only scope I know of that has american made glass is the Vortex AMG
Do you carry the 507 or RMR?
Nice! My G26 has a Vortex Venom on it.
Nice video👍🏻
If I could spell "purchase"" I could talk fancy just like him but I'm still BUYING stuff!
Contact them and send it back. They should replace it. Sometimes that happens. Nothing is perfect.
great video
Will it fit on top of an acog?
I know this os an old video but yes it will fit. I have one piggybacked on my acog.
Facts
Great content n it's unfortunate we have everything these days made in China but it's reality that they wrk for less and can live and survive happily over there meanwhile here we wrk for so little and and!!!! Everything's price keeps increasing, so of course we not gonna wrk for the few dollars the Chinese do it for we just have to accept it and hopefully the government can make the changes that allow us to happily buy and live off all American made products and supplies till then if a country does it better and for less I can't complain or hate on em we should be thanking them
Operating operationally with operators
It's 50000 battery life on setting 6 its 100000 if u have it on solar automatic and u can only see that in absolute perfect conditions thats y Ihave the rmr and 507c and i prefer the rmr I like having mine set on automatic i dont like having to hit the button to change brightness depending on the conditions and for my eyes the rmrs automatic brightness is always perfect or a level to bright and I'd rather have it to bright then not bright enough don't get me wrong I like the 507c and the 508t and wouldn't hesitate to use um just perfer the rmr
Anyone else not able to change video resolution when watching gun videos?
Leupold glass is engineered in America, made in China, QC'd, brought back to America and assembled in America.
🙏
Nice one
