Yes always thought the H9 needed the same sort of front grill as the H6. Here in Aus it sells for an amazing $44,000 (440 000 Rand)....reports I’ve read say it’s actually very capable off road...we bought a H2 Lux, to replace my wife’s little KIA Rio hatch which was getting past its sell by date....We’ve had the H2 for a year and are very happy with it. It’s like the Starship Enterprise compared to the Rio and is extremely comfortable on a long trip. Here in Aus it’s on sale for $25,000 (250 000 Rand) amazing value for what you get.
When you see Haval it means Have All. Great car and reliable. Now it's not the 60's, 70's or 80's, it's 2020, so remember, China has achieve drastically in new technologies...do not hesitate to try them...
I think it’s going to be like what people said about the two Korean products when they first came out....remember the Lanos😳? However with one big difference...Havals first effort has been far better.
Yep, I also imagine that it will make everyone think you are cheapskate, who only bought a car because it's cheap not considering things like reliability.
I think it’s going to be exactly like people said about KIA and Hyuendai in their early days...with one big difference...Havals first effort has been way better.
its the oppo of cars cuz they literelly have new car models coming which are f7 and f7pro lmao oppo has same names for one model of there phones series
Haval really need to work on their front grill of the H9 it looks vintage compared to other models and rivals in its class, maybe borrow from the H6....
Does Great Wall make the engine here or are they sourcing it out? Also, the placement of the power driver's seat controls is just really strange; they should've placed it on the rear hatch. Thirdly, I wonder why they don't just outsource a diesel engine from, say, Cummins or Isuzu. That small (albeit turbocharged) 2.0L just looks ridiculous in such a big vehicle. Reminds me of the 1.5L engine in the Toyota Rush. Lastly, I personally wouldn't plunk big money on a car from China even if it's cheaper. You're buying an entire car, not just an engine or gearbox. What about crash ratings? What about the reliability of the safety technologies in the car? Are the brakes reliable? Are the tires from a cheap Chinese manufacturer like Black Lion or Wan Li?
Chinese cars prioritise the rear passenger and many execs get driven around. So if the rear passengers wants more space, he can move the seat in front of him, giving him more legroom. Its weird, but totally makes sense!
The fact that she didn't give a brand, but gave sizes, tells me that the tires are a fong kong brand. The seat switch does make sense.........but also shows you that the Chinese don't know the South African market.
I don't think your comment is accurate. GP sits at around 5500ft. Thinner air means less resistance. Means LESS fuel consumption. Better top speeds. Having a turbo in the car means the altitude will barely have an effect on the engines performance. If anything the car should go way better in the highveld. Coast helps with NA engines and turbo lag. I use WAY more fuel at the coast in my big SUV at 120 than I do in GP using the same proven theory. Thinner air means more efficiency for car shapes. It also tends to be cooler air less humid air. All very good for turbo engines. In terms of wind noise and resistance doing 110-120 at the coast is like doing 150-160 in the high veld.
Love the #JulietMcGuire review channel ( ruclips.net/user/julietmcguire ) but this is definitely more informative and professional ( but miss the singing ! ) . Never heard of #Haval there seems to be blockage against Chinese makes in the UK - only #GreatWall #MG and #Volvo ( #Geely ) have been given the keys ! Seems well priced but expensive to run - but roomy on the inside - Good review . Love seeing cars from around the world - bored of watching #carwow Uk reviews now ! - Sorry #markwatsoncars ! So #CarsZA is my new found channel !

My brother has been driving Haval6 for 6 years and traveled over 140,000kms, his Haval is still in quite good condition and no any problems.

The Haval H9 won the Top 5 in the Australia 4x4 of the year. Its a much nicer SUV in person
the quality of H9 is fucking bullshit, by the way, I am an Chinese customer.

Compared to H6 C it looks a bit old - but the interior is pretty good, the switch gears even look better than the ones you find in a Japanese car.
I LIKE HAVAL H9 SO MUCH
This is a good brand. However I would stick with their H6C luxury for around R410000 you get everything I mean everything competitors can’t offer!
is this based on prado 150 chassis?
The "real test" is whether it flies through the EuroNCAP of Australian equivalent with a full five stars. Plus is the braking distance competitive?
Huw Williams if it’s in the market it means it passed all the tests and regulations.
@@proboxpepper6752 No it doesn't mean that. Regulations maybe but not all the tests that Williams is talking about.

Nice, In 4 years it will be worth 80k. If it survives that long as we know nothing about Haval's reliability yet.
Yep, I also imagine that it will make everyone think you are cheapskate, who only bought a car because it's cheap not considering things like reliability.
You will never be about to upgrade your H9. Your basically stuck with this car for good.
This aged well🤣
This is what i am talking about Juliet, Nice Reviews... Haval will be like Korean companies in SA... Just watch this space.
Wonder if Haval is the Xiaomi of cars...time will tell!

@@jeanou6285 Hope not. We don't want cars looking like bananas due to poorly designed batteries.
Same thing I said
Looks like a great car, but something else it looks like is the pre-facelift Toyota Prado 150, it's the headlights and the wheels especially
When is a video about the new duster being uploaded?
How I wish Haval came to my country.
Im about to replace my wife Mitsubishi Triton 2017 Model for a H6 tope spec. cant wait. we will get software that will allow apple play

ERATA: she said it features a rear lockable diff - not true - uses a limited slip diff. It would have been nice if it had a proper rear diff-lock!!!
H9 has lockable rear diff, H8 has LSD
A call on the value for money will only be able to made when one sees how they perform in the used car market
It looks very old, sure it's new?
theres a 2019 facelift and it looks badass
I'm 99% it's more luxurious than the Prado but just lacks the off road ability of the Prado's diesel engine.

volvo does the same thing. xc90 has 2.0l
Why do people pronounce the Toyota Fortuner as the Toyota 4Tuna?
Interesting that GWM products are so competitive in less than 10 years. Unfortunately, it's features are not breathtaking to shake up the market!

Would do better with a Diesel unit
It's not a proper review if Juliet doesn't sing. I need the real one please.
they should have just borrowed the 2.0 diesel engine from their bakkie brand GWM Steed
Well this CAR rival is the Toyota Prado, Ford Explorer, Mercedes Benz G class, Audi Q7 Porsche Cayenne and BMW X7.
please do a hot hatch race vw golf r and audi rs3 and bmw or honda civic type r
