I'm trying to trade from my Ruby or Saphire Version to my Emerald Version, but without success. When the two characters from both versions enter the trade room, the following message appears with the screen turning all black: "link error...Check your Game Link cable connection, and turn the power off and on" or if I trade from Ruby to FireRed or Leaf Green Version: "Communication error..Please check all conections, then turn de power OFF and ON". The funny thing is that I did trades between two Emerald Versions and between Emerald and FireRed and LeafGreen Version without problem. If you know the solution, please, answer me.

tried and it does, also you can trade from fire red just finish the game up to where you get the rainbow pass, you will search for the ruby and saphire gems to activate the machine that allows you to trade with ruby and saphire.

+rifqi reza First you need to beat the ELITE 4 in the FireRed and LeafGreen and to get two stones to Celio: Ruby and saphire. After this, you can trade pokemon with Emerald Version.

go on the internet and search for TGB dual emulator. Its a emulator that works only for gameboy games that will allow you to trade pokemon from red yellow blue to crystal gold and silver. It allows you to control both players on 2 different screens at the same time and I used it so I know it works.
+Aaron Martinez old comment but go to options emulator and go to save type then you will see flash 64k change it to flash 128k the press ctrl+r to restart it :) it should work fine then

i cant get this to work with crystal version. I have gotten link to work but it says "friend is not ready" when both games are obviously ready

everything for me works up until I click the other player name to trade, then whatever game I do that on, resets back to the title screen
Yes, select the option for link then server, then on the other computer select client then input the port and the ip adress, this is on a lan setup.

I try to do it with 2 seperate PC but it doesnt work.

Checked for this error too, change the save option from 64 to 128mb

you need to download visual boy advance LINK. its different than the original visual boy advance.
