    I don't really use copper peptide for antiaging, but its shockingly the only thing that helps my dermatitis. It's also the only active I can use ever since I developed dermatitis.

    can you put on copper peptides and then wait 30 minutes and put on vitamin c (ascorbic acid)? Also, can you use copper peptides after trentinoin if your skin is ok with it? I believe that the rule against retinoic acid is because of possible irritation and NOT because there is a chemical reaction which cancels them out. Is this what you think?

    Thank you so much for this - and for everything else you've done in terms of sharing your skincare experience, you're such an inspiration! I hear you on the peptides front, and yet my menopausal, extra sensitive skin struggles with every single type of peptide product I've tried so far... What is your current peptide routine, or what would be a minimalistic round of products to use alongside with a peptide serum? I've done toner + centella ampoule + peptide + moisturizer and it's probably been too much cause my skin got irritated for days after that.

    I have just started using a retinal product which actually has 0.3 % retinal - its the Skintra Liquid Happiness and costs around 15€ (16$). In comparison the Medik8 Retinal 0.2 % costs around 10 times the price!!
    The Skintra is a really nice product!

    Hi Sara! I'm working my way through a bottle of the Biossance Squalane + Copper Peptides. It is pleasant to use, cooling and very hydrating and spreads easily, but beyond that I don't feel like it does anything special for my skin. The best copper peptide product I've used is the Niod Copper Amino Isolate Serium, which did immediately noticeable, amazing things for the texture of my skin, smoothed it, plumped it and refined pores like nothing else I'd ever tried before but it's too expensive for me to repurchase. Right now I am waiting on an order for FaceTheory's new Polypeptide Collagen Boosting Serum S8 Pro, about the same price as the Biossance so not cheap but more affordable than the Niod. I am looking forward to seeing what that can do for my 63 year old skin. Your skin looks great btw, whatever you're doing it is working!

      I will just say that the ordinary works on me 1,000 times better than the biossance. I used a whole thing of the biossance and noticed zero difference but 1 use of the ordinary and I was kicking myself for wasting all the time and money on the biossance. It’s pretty affordable.

    There are so many great Korean skin lines and Korean products that are affordable and incredibly effective, that I find it hard to know which ones to use, and how to layer them.
    I’m not really complaining because it such an amazing development in my life but at the same time…
    I don’t know if it’s OK to be mixing all these different serums on my face from all these different lines.
    The one product I would really like to find is an eye product without any oils or glycerin, for puffy, undereyes and lids as well, to relieve the dryness, but without adding to the puffiness.
    If you find one like that, I would love a review on it as I’m sure others with puffy eyes would also love.
    I cannot use anything on my eyes right now because it always makes my eyes puffier.

    Yeah it’s still a challenge to work around Vit C, Retinol, and any acids! But I end up defaulting to the Buffer + Copper more often than any of the rest. I push myself to use Vit C for day instead of that. Now that summer has just about ended, I’m gonna be going back to more retinol at night. The acids at night too, I stopped using as much because rotating two routines was hard/fussy enuf lol. Sometimes I write it down in my planner.

  • @angelinebiswas7611

    I like the Neogen hi R exosome but it really isn’t the same as protini. Protini uses a very specific peptide complex from a certain manufacturer in a higher concentration with a higher concentration of amino acids. It’s also a lot lighter weight than Neogen. Neogen does use really good ingredients but if I’ve learned anything about Korean skincare besides the amazing textures, they like to list hero ingredients MUCH higher in the ingredients list than they actually are they are able to list ingredients completely different there and have a cosmetics regulation that doesn’t require the 1% line above preservatives the way the US does. In my opinion that peptide complex that is famous in Protini-which I’m starting to see with a few American brands-Stratia Interfaces newest formula I believe uses it but excludes the amino acids. With a majority of peptides on the market, if there is no delivery system like encapsulation in a copolymer to get it to where it needs to go in the skin, then it is nothing more than a hydration ingredient

    • @vickise
      @vickise 11 месяцев назад +3

      Yes you can :) also you can technically use copper peptides with retinoids but they tend to add to the exfoliating nature of retinoids and can cause irritation so many choose not to. Most of the rules with copper peptides have to do with causing irritation, with the exception of maybe acids and vitamin C (if copper peptides and vitamin C mix they can make the chemical in self-tanner that can turn your skin orange so don't do that lol) If you don't take my word email Deciem and they should tell you pretty much the same thing hope this helps :)

      I use the G&G and it is yellow. I’m just careful with it, but yeah it’s kinda a pain. I started buying darker pjs or lower neckline ones for this reason and I put it on while I’m in a towel/robe and let it absorb well. That really seems to solve that problem. I’m also usually waiting for my body oil to seep in too so it works out. Taking that time to air out has been really beneficial to my skin & stress too I think. 😊
