I used to be crazy about peptides but lately I feel like I’m just wasting my money. I’ve used all of it over the course of 2+ years & just don’t see a single result. After really digging through the literature and studies I’m convinced 99% of them do nothing more than hydrate. Unless it has a delivery system like the copolymer thing, I’m not convinced it gets into the skin and goes where it needs go. I wish there were peptides that have proven studies instead of the manufacture claims. Til then I’ll still use up what I have but feel like my peptides phase is complete lol

I just listened to a doctor saying the same thing (Claudia Glows had her on her channel, Dr. Ania), she said it really depends on the formulation and vehicle, and that ingredients are not everything. She was recommending Alastin for peptides that have been proved to work... What are you using and think really made an impact, if you don't mind? Thank you!

I’m also firmly in the unconvinced category re peptides, esp for collagen and elastin building which is my main goal. Seems like a decade ago when they were newer, most people/dermatologists were quick to acknowledge that there wasn’t a body of evidence and took more of a wait and see. Lately I feel like peptides have been elevated to “must-have” anti-agers. But I worry that is due to marketing claims wearing us down more than high quality research coming out. Except for copper peptides, which I don’t deal with because my skin is sensitive and they seem like a complicated and finicky ingredient, I don’t hear much about specific named peptides, with specific data around proven clinical levels.
Having said that I love skincare, hear how great peptides are for lots of people on RUclips, and have horrible skincare FOMO so I do keep them in both my morning and evening routine, lol. But I’ve decided to clarify (for myself) what ingredients I’m willing to spend more money on for a non-irritating product with clinically proven levels. Retinoids, ascorbic acid, spf and higher percentage AHAs are in my spend if I need to category. Peptides, gentle exfoliants, cleansers, moisturizers and hydrators are in my save category. There are lots of inexpensive and interchangeable options.
In my am routine I’ve used the ordinary’s buffet serums, the matrixyl 10% serum and am currently using timeless’s coq10 serum (w matrixyl 3000). At night after my retinoid I’ve been using acure’s radically rejuvenating night cream (w a mix of peptides) and want to try Stratia’s peptide cream. There are some peptides in different hydrating toners and other serums I’ve used but they don’t say what percentage and inexpensive products don’t usually have clinical research done on the actual product. They just make claims based on ingredient research conducted by the manufacturers.

Hey Sarah, I figured I'd give you an update on my dog clodagh. We just got back from her oncologist for her 3rd month post chemo follow up. First four months after chemo ends are the scariest, but after that there's better treatment options if it were to come back. But the vet said her blood work looks to be her best yet. We're so happy about it. I hope your gang is all doing well!

I think the mechanism by how copper peptides work is that they kinda clear out old collagen in your skin and then create more and better collagen but if you overload your skin with copper peptides the repairing action can’t catch up with the destructive action of the peptide so you actually get the opposite effect. The skin needs time to build new collagen, but that’s just what I understand about it

Hi Sara! I've been using FaceTheory's new peptide serum, the Polypep Collagen Boosting Serum S8 Pro, for a couple of weeks now and really like it. It has gluconolactone, urea, centella and turmeric in it in addition to the peptides, with a thin watery texture that spreads easily and absorbs quickly and is easy to work into morning or nighttime (or both) routines. No irritation or untoward reaction for me but that isn't surprising as my skin is super resilient and nothing much disturbs it. It could be wishful thinking but I feel like I see some firming and smoothing effects on the areas of most visible/noticeable pores, the nose butterfly area, between my brows and my upper lip. It makes me feel good to use it so I'm glad I got it. Do you have any plans to try this one?

I think it was like a pre-sale on certain products. But Amazon frequently has products on sale. It might be only a few Cosrx products but during their big sales...it'll be the entire brand. I've been looking for peptide products. So far I use PC pro collagen peptide booster, Stratia Interface ( still trying how to use it where it's not so sticky lol ) Timeless Matrixyl Synthe 6 serum ( I haven't used it long to see results but it feels sooooo good on my skin ) I finally went for the DE protini cream ( feels nice, I'm currently using a travel size, gonna wait and see if I'll purchase a full size ) I tried the Pacifica vegan ceramide lotion and serum everyone raved about....I didn't like them at all. They felt cheap and I didn't like the textures. The serum smelled like a exfoliate....it had a weird chemical smell. After trying those I have no interest in Pacifica. I can't afford the Revive 😢 The Cosrx peptide booster doesn't make sense to me. The fact it's in a toner bottle makes me think their ain't much peptide in it. It's almost like they just jumped on the peptide band wagon and whipped something up lol Always on the look out for a good peptide products.

One that is wonderful and super easy to fit into any routine is the Cosrx 6 Peptide Booster - super light, water texture, apply it right after cleansing and toning and then you can use the rest of your normal products after that. If your budget it a bit bigger the RevivSerums Ultimate Serum is a great option, too, but it is a bit more pricey. The peptides and growth factors in it is quite impressive. Another priced in between both of those is the Neogen Sur Medic Azulene Soothing Peptide Ampoule. It does contain Lavender Oil, just an fyi in case you are sensitive to it. Last but not least, the Acure Radically Rejuvenating Whipped Night Cream is amazing for a great moisturizer with lots of peptides!

The last one I found is WellDerma - G Plus Silver Peptide Ampoule here: ystyle.co/i74k

I also use the Dermtlgy needless serum everyday and I'll use the Bioscience CP at night cause I have 3 bottles of it I got in the set with eye cream for like 24$ so I stocked up. I am so upset I can't get the iope stem 111 essence ampoule I'm almost out and can't find it anywhere and it's so good . Have u tried anything from that Depolgy brand ? I keep getting commercials for their matrixyl and Angeline serum , it says its a k beauty Blend of green tea and peptides but I haven't researched them yet or that Dermlyct brand everyone is talking about.

Over time. So how do you know ? 🤔 you do a patch test and everything’s fine but then months later your skin looks like crap?
