I did that to my '66 coupe in the early '80s. Back then replacements were north of $100...i.e. a $#itload of money to a 15yr old....so I used an air chisel to break the spot welds, smoothed it up and painted it black.. My dad about shit himself. :o)
Very well done AIM! Big fan of all Mike Maier, and yours is an excellent representative, one that I'll use as an example for building my '68 coupe. Love those subtle rear flares! Couple questions: What diam front sway bar did you use? Are the 600# springs a little stiff for daily driving or fine with good shocks? I know that's subjective - I like my cars on the firm side but not rattling the dash apart. Did you have to cut the shifter hole for that T5? What headers and did you use and did you go cable or hydraulic clutch? Anything you would do differently? I'm doing a manual conversion right now and have got a built 302 on the stand. Thnx in advance!
Nicely done I’m building a 66 and was wondering what size wheels and tires you went with? I just ordered 17x8 Foose wheels. Yours look like 18’s with a larger rear tire
yes it has full maier racing suspension. the car is super stiff compared to stock form. can't say how well just one part will work as this car has everything on it.
the ride is fine, depends on your seats though. on the original stock upholstery it was a little harsh. after the new tmi seats and foam the ride was super nice.
Crazy clean! This is exactly what I want to do with mine. Same color and everything. Solid build🤙
Mustangs make the world go around
Absolutely love this mustang.
Nicely built car. Like the smoothed dash sans dash pad and eyebrow metal.

Those Americans (Ford) know how to style an automobile. Mustang very good car.
Is that a z brace from maier racing? How does it feel does it stiffen up the car alot or a little
yes it has full maier racing suspension. the car is super stiff compared to stock form. can't say how well just one part will work as this car has everything on it.
ArtInMotion is the ride really harsh and unbearable after some time or still comfortable enough but still harsh to drive around town to
the ride is fine, depends on your seats though. on the original stock upholstery it was a little harsh. after the new tmi seats and foam the ride was super nice.
