This is the most beautiful watch ever! Ever! In my opinion. Its truly spectacular! Ive been dreaming of owning one for 20 years now. Its crazy how time flies. But great review, thanks for sharing this beauty.
Me too
I bought mine 23 years ago. Still perfect incredible watch. More accurate than my Rolex submariner and Panerai Luminor Submersible. But my Raymond Weil Don Giovanni is just as accurate as well. They're all more than 15 years old. Needless to say I'm satisfied. 😁
how many times have you serviced it over the years and how much does it cost?
The band is not adjustable as described. The slide is just for ease of taking on and off. The bottom small red hand is hours the top red hand is minutes on the chronograph. Great watch one of my favorites - a joy to wear.
N S you’re right on the adj. bought mine in 97 and love it just like you
Thank you for sharing this information.
My first non-seiko watch. Love this thing to death
How is the lume?
Me too. Bought mine in 97
When were these made.
Excellent review video.
Great video and great watch
This was my first ever mechanical watch and still wear it to this day! It’s a great starting point for any collector
Starting point lol 🙄
Matt McLoughlin despite dealer prices, you can find one of these without box and papers for under $1,000.
I'm sure you can, complete with Seagull movement and everything.
Alex Wintermute yeah I have one stuck in customs coming in from Japan and I paid just over 2 grand for it. Don’t think they’re going for much less than that and if they are, I’d question it.
Cull is off
Very nice watch 👏👏👏
Nice blended colours
so Ben sold his grandfather’s watch?
This may be a dumb question, since the month is displayed, but is it a true annual calendar, or do you need to re-adjust the 30/31 day months?
I have this one and unfortunately you do indeed have to change the date for every month with less than 31 days.
This is called full calendar.
I was wondering about leap year.
is a perpetual calendar or just a daydate
How is the service cost and difficulty on these?
Daniel Fernandez I think it's around 400-500usd in the swatchgroup service Center, check out omega webpage, they got prices for their services
about 10 years ago I paid about 300
As of February 2019, for what sort of price are these selling? Many thanks!
2500-3300 USD
@@wesleyshinto Very many thanks for this useful (and encouraging!) information.
Back during the Great Recession, they were going for $1200 to $1500.
@@sartainja Many thanks, Mr Sartain! This is very interesting info.
Jeff Sartain Sure. But in those days also new Omega watches were half the price of today.
So these hands are replaced?
no they are original
Do you think, guys, this is a good investment? I am trying to justify the purchase. It will be my first acquisition of an "expensive" watch
Bought mine in 97. Would never sell but see nice early ones going for 3300-3900 today. Very comfortable watch
I saw your question - yes I have the solid bracelet. The only problem I have with it is that if bend my hand inward tightly the clasp can come loose and I don’t wanna lose it. So I’m careful. Is that the problem you had?
I bought the reduced model of this watch, finish, colors, feel on the wrist is awesome. About 4k
How on earth did they manage to extend a 45mm lug to lug watch to 51.5 just with the bracelet. Now I'm scared it's too big
this watch is only 36 or 34 mm
The small size has grown on me - my favorite watch I have others around 10k each. I did have to buy extra links for my 7.75 wrist.
Mine come with 39mm (without crown) & 45mm lug to lug.
