    For the love of God, STOP 🛑 telling me what to do with my body or telling me what to do with my condition. Inflammation of the skin happens for different reasons.
    I get that folks are trying to be helpful but don't assume shit, ASK me! I assure you that everyone's skin situation is different and responds differently. A lot of what you are suggesting I've already explored in great detail with the help of a naturopathic physician, 5 different dermatologists, and self help. Some of you are downright rude, insensitive, and disrespectful. I chose not to continue speaking about my condition for this reason but it's necessary for me to speak out. Please just be considerate and respectful of the fact that I'm not looking for a diagnosis, explanation, treatment, or medical advice.

    Sometimes you can develop an allergy to something over time from constant exposure.
    OR nurses, techs, MDs can develop a latex allergy from wearing latex gloves. I worked briefly as an OR nurse.
    Its not as common anymore thanks to non latex gloves and PPE.

       when I first started working in the healthcare field when I was in my 20s (42 now) it was when we were still using latex powered gloves I developed a sensitivity. Switched to vinyl and the itchy rash went away. What didn’t click was I couldn’t use latex condoms anymore. Found out the hard way.

    I think the hydrolyzed proteins in the ingredients which could be causing the allergic reactions/flare up unfortunately. I saw a couple of studies about hydrolyzed ingredients causing inflammation on the skin in humectant products unfortunately.

  • @krenee984

    That sounds so painful!!! I can't even imagine! I wonder if limonene/linalool are in the fragrance and causes the sensitivity issue? In a previous video i remember you saying that sometimes with random other household products you have a milder irritation in the same areas. These are two extremely common sensitizers. Another option could be the cetrimonium chloride. I know from experience that the max percentage you can use in a leave in is 2% to avoid skin irritation. When people layer it for days and weeks on end in natural hair practices i wonder how high that percentage actually gets 🤔

    I used to have many blisters and I would pop them and then you would turn into deep cuts and eczema all over my fingers.
    The only thing that cured me was Using an aveeno or an oatmeal moisturizer and piling on like 6 layers as each layer dries.
    It puts a physical barrier on the skin and stopped the eczema.
    I'm fine now, no creams. Not worried for the future as I found a solution to my problem.

    Hey AHG I mean this with the utmost respect and love... when coming across irritants, I take Allegra for my breakouts. I'm not a doctor or anything, and please don't chop my head off. I'm not saying you should try it. I'm just throwing that info out there. I break out heavily because I'm allergic to everything, and it helps with the initial exposure.

    Go to the dermatologist sir. There is a name for it. Looks a lot like contact dermatitis, eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, or psoriasis. Like you I have really sensitive skin all over my body. The doctor told me at one time to limit putting my hands in water. I don’t see how you can do that on your profession. I couldn’t do that in my profession. I am a teacher. No way I was going without washing my hands. Aquaphor worked well as well as coco butter palmers …. Not the lotion but the cream that looks like a butter that must melt into your skin. Anything that had alcohol base to it is a no no. You have a little of the same thing on your forehead over your eye that is in better control. Most likely because your hands are in water all day and your face area is not. Bless you on your journey trying to find out what works for your skin. All the conditions listed don’t have a cure but once you get it more in control and knowing your triggers you can see improvement. Nothing substitutes a professional as you know good and well you are a professional. Don’t let us diagnose you. Go straight to the source and let the professionals hook you up so that you will not be in pain. The body changes over time and what we could tolerate before sometimes we cannot continue to do. I have seborrheic dermatitis near my eye corners and bridge if nose. It is annoying because you don’t want to put medication near your eyes.

    • @AfrikanHairGod
      @AfrikanHairGod  15 дней назад +7

      You don't know my situation or what I've gone thru. I'm not seeking a diagnosis or help with treatment. I've been to over 5 dermatologists and none of them being able to help at all... I've been diagnosed and it's obvious that I was misdiagnosed at this point. I've lived with this and have developed an intimate understanding of it despite not having all the answers. These doctors don't know what they are dealing with and just try to throw steroids to mask symptoms instead of getting to the root problem. I asked them years ago to give me an allergy test as I was someone that handles a lot of cosmetics and I got refused multiple times. Then when they did finally give me one or wasn't inclusive of cosmetics. I get that y'all are trying to be helpful but please be more considerate with your verbiage. It's very difficult for me being vulnerable about my health when there are so many people that think they know my body, my condition, or my situation better than I do. I apologize if this came off defensive but this is truly frustrating and comments like this just contribute to my frustration even more.

      @@AfrikanHairGod my bad. I thought you left comments on because you wanted people to honestly reflect on what you were saying. You should realize that most people are just scrolling through RUclips shorts and come across your post that way. Nobody is here trying to intentionally scar or hurt you. Disable comments when you don’t want to hear any. Seems hypocritical to tear down ALL dermatologist or specialists in their specific field because your condition wasn’t healed. Some conditions are chronic. You want people to listen to your professional hair advice as a master in your field but you won’t listen to other experts. Hmmm. Then blaming your skin inflammation on a particular product when your hands touch probably multiple products of the course of months. I will be scrolling on and minding my business. I hope others do too.
