Hi there. I think the result will be similar in that it will be similarly louder, but the sound note may be different because ML has different mufflers as far as I know. Have you seen my secondary cat delete videos? I love that more than resonator delete.

Hi, after doing some research, turns out the ML only has primary Cats and resonator. So I will probably do test or race pipes , deleting the primary cats or just som 100 or 200 cell cats I will replace the O2 sensors as well so no codes. This will free up some power with a tune and better flow.

@@AccentOnCars Yeah the turbos do muffle a bit of the sound on the 4.7. I've already done a rear muffler delete on mine & although it sounded good it droned like hell lol. So I had some short sports mufflers put on & it still droned lol. So in conversation with a guy in Germany with exactly the same car he recommended J-pipes of a certain length, that was a whole lot better but still droned a little at 1100 to 1200 rpm. The guy in Germany also has an X-pipe in place of the resonator (I still have my resonator) & he said with that set up he has no drone whatsoever. So that's my next step, a resonator delete with X-pipe, hopefully that will be it then lol. So it's been a long journey but in hindsight wish I'd gone the resonator delete first lol. • @AccentOnCars

That also results in a good exhaust note. If you remove the secondary cats it will keep its stock-like tone but will be louder, but not as louder as resonator delete. One viewer recommended that setup to me and sent a video - it sounds good. I might actually do it myself.

On one of my cls63 I deleted my secondary cats and straight piped it and deleted my resonator and added a MBH mid section mid pipe. Best set up for a m156 engine in my opinion. Sounds aggressive and sexy even at cruising speeds and on open throttle it sounds amazing and exotic.
