Which setup did you like the most?
I think I like res delete and X pipe better.
Resonator delete sounds amazing and aggressive, but personally I'm partial to the headers w/ the tune (not as loud, but a terrific growl). Appreciate the comparisons, will do something with mine eventually

With just a resonator delete I’ve got zero drone but a great aggressive sound whenever you step on it. So that would be my favorite setup...

Gotcha! For my taste it’s a bit raspy. I liked X pipe better. But for my own car, I am thinking secondary cat delete. Haven’t decided yet.
@@AccentOnCars I have a resonator delete with an x-pipe and secondary cats delete with a straight pipe. Best set up for a m156 imo. I also have a stock m156 nothing done to it and the two cars sound night and day. But my m157 biturbo is louder than both of them.

Res delete with X pipe is like stock until you step on it. I am gonna do secondary cat delete myself. I've heard it sounds like stock just a bit louder.

Stock sounded best lol. The louder they are the raspier they got, stock is deep and refined. AMG got it right
Agreed! Except for the long tube headers and secondary cat delete. Check out my later videos showing those.
Which X-pipe is the first silver e63 running? Is that any specific company brand X-pipe, or is it a custom X-pipe?
I really like the sound of it, and I'm thinking of having the same setup for my w211 e63.
I think the brand doesn’t matter. What matters is the diameter and 304 grade steel.

I would go with the original size. How loud do you want the exhaust to be? Have you seen other videos of mine where I show secondary cat delete and long tube headers? I personally did the sec cat delete. It preserves the original tone but is louder across all rpms. Res delete is louder after 3k rpm but changes the original tone IMHO.
@AccentOnCars Yes, I've pretty much seen all your videos on w211 e63 AMG.
I don't want it to be super loud. I just want it louder than stock. So 2.75 inches will be the way to go, I'm guessing.
I have seen your e63 amg econdary cat delete video. I like it. It's a good option, but I prefer the tone from the res delete and x pipe.
But I'm not a fan of the res delete and straight pipes as I feel that makes the sound more raspy and not AMG like.
Anyways, thank you for making all these amazing videos. They have helped me choose my exhaust setup.

Why not? You just need to decide what you want to do. You can try muffler delete or secondary cat delete.

Sorry I don’t remember. 2.5 or 3.5 inches. An exhaust shop would know by looking at it.

If modified they can sound good, but honestly I wouldn’t think they sounded like that stock 😬 Each time I see a nice sounding S5 now I know it’s been modified.
@@AccentOnCars they have some great v8 and v10 engines on some of the older audis but that 6.2 litre benz is a beast. my e63 is stock but I'm going to delete the resonator at some point once I get rid of my fave car, my 205 c63 estate. I'm going to miss it
