      I am so happy you are enjoying the videos, I hope they are helping!
      I sell the tape at my clinic but I haven’t had time to get them on the website, so until then I recommend either Spider Tech Gentle or Kinesio Gold Light Touch tape.
      spidertech.com/us/spidertech-roll (select the gentle option on the page)
      kinesiotape.com/kinesio-tex-gold-light-touch/
      Make sure you only get these specific ones from their websites as both companies sell other tapes as well and though you could possibly purchase them on Amazon etc. there is always the risk of it being incorrectly labelled. The other tapes on their sites are great for the body but just not the face, they will be WAY too aggressive for the face.
      We did a specific video for the types of tape to use as well, you can see that here ruclips.net/video/QaYW7ekcfCs/видео.html
      Let me know how you go. Good luck!

      @@StrivingforHealth thank you so kindly...i hope its ok to ask you one more question. when taping the nasal labial folds, why go vertical with the line? i would think going horizontal and stretch the skin toward the ear would be more apt to help the wrinkle...

    • @StrivingforHealth
      @StrivingforHealth  3 года назад +3

      The taping for the Nasolabial lines are for night taping. When you sleep on your side you are smooshing your cheek toward your nose which increases and deepens the nasolabial lines, so by taping over the line vertically it can help to minimize this from happening. I need to do a separate video on this. But, I always tape the nasolabial lines with the marionette lines for this purpose as well. We recommend combining this with our cheek lift, which is at the end of the nasolabial line & marionette video. Also, if the cheeks are really full, they may be heavy. So, you may also want to do the day taping with the ‘cheek droop’ to help support the entire process. So check out those videos as well. :) Hope this helps!

    Hi! I've been using kinesiotape on my forehead (11 line) for about week-two at night. And after that I've started thinking that situation have become worse... I have had used two wide straps above my eyebrows to area between them. I did NOT stretch the tape, only gently my skin to remove line. What can be the reason? I started to see more tense muscles right above my highest spot of my eyebrows...I've scared a lot and have stooped immediately. I hope, I did good explaining. I really want to do it right, I'm 32 and I don't want any fillers/bottox, I hope to do something with taping.

    Thank you for the video, it is very helpful! I have one question though, why not stretch the tape? Other companies like Cure Tape recommend stretching 25% to 50% of the elastic tape. Thank you for your answer 🙏

    • @StrivingforHealth
      @StrivingforHealth  Год назад +6

      By pulling gently on the skin you are positioning the muscles and skin where they need to be (and ensuring there are no wrinkles under the tape) and then taping them in that position. This allows for a little stretch in the tape after application for some movement to naturally happen while sleeping if doing the overnight application. When you stretch the tape to apply, it is very easy to apply the tape too tightly and create a wrinkle as the tape will contract slightly after application if it has been stretched. Also, if we are trying to work on a mimic wrinkle (like the 11’s), and we want to relax the muscle, we don’t want the tape to contract on an muscle we are trying to relax. Overused and tight muscles will cause mimic wrinkles so we want to keep it relaxed and stretched. If you don’t stretch the tape, the tape won’t constrict.

      If you had a HA filler a year ago, you should be fine to do facial taping now as most of it should be absorbed by now. I don’t recommend facial taping with filler if it is new or if it has not dissolved as you don’t want to run the risk of moving the filler with the tape. Hope that helps.

    • @StrivingforHealth

      If using and applying tape correctly, it will not cause wrinkles. But, if you are causing wrinkles or taping with wrinkles under the tape, it will cause wrinkles. Please ensure proper taping technique for a smooth application where there are NO wrinkles around or under the tape.

    • @StrivingforHealth
      @StrivingforHealth  2 года назад +5

      Facial taping doesn’t weaken collagen at all. I do recommend a gentle massage on the area before application, especially if your forehead feels a bit “stuck” and doesn’t move well. Make sure you don’t create any wrinkles when you are taping. Good luck!

      @Corrie Van den Bosch
      We recommend doing the night time taping applications nightly for a month and then going to maintenance taping, which is about 3 times a week for the best results. If you need to do any of the daytime taping for Lymph drainage, you can certainly do that during the day and wear the tape for 4 to 6 hours as the location and type of taping is different. But I don’t recommend doing the same taping all night and all day, it is too much.

    What about microcurrent? I would guess that taping for lymph drainage would be best before microcurrent. Does it matter?

    • @StrivingforHealth
      @StrivingforHealth  2 года назад +3

      @Indigodream0
      It will depend on what type of microcurrent you are getting. If you are getting it professionally done, they will move your lymph more aggressively before a microcurrent session so taping the day after (or the day before) would work. If you are talking about an at home microcurrent device, I would recommend doing a more direct lymph drainage with facial cupping, massage or gua sha to really move things and draining before the microcurrent. I would follow with the lymph taping afterwards to help facilitate further drainage after the treatment.
      Hope that helps.

    • @StrivingforHealth
      @StrivingforHealth  2 года назад +1

      @Indigodream0
      Since the Clareblend Mini is an at home unit, I would still do some massage to move the lymph manually first and stimulate the area before the microcurrent treatment. Then give it a few hours and tape afterwards to keep things moving. Remember to always massage and drain towards the ears (front and back), down the neck and to the collar bone, to stimulate proper drainage and activate the lymph nodes. You can do this Gua Sha routine with your hands, ruclips.net/video/OgOj6GRjmEQ/видео.html that will work even if you don’t have a board, just use your hands, so check out that video. Good luck!

      I began massage on my face about a year ago and have had fantastic results. All the other stuff I do works a lot better if I do massage for fascia release and lymphatic drainage FIRST. I've been blown away! If I could only have one thing in addition to moisturizers, etc., to make my skin look better it would be massage, hands down, no question about it. And yes, I have a Gua Sha, glass cups... And now I have your videos too! I've never been able to get lymph to move as well as I have since finding your videos, especially the eye bags! Thank you SO MUCH!!!
      The only problem I have with massage is that I get lost in it because it feels so good! Often times I run out of time for everything else!
      Also, dry brushing my entire body helps my face as well. It makes sense to me to do that, but it helps even more with the videos you've put up.

    why not taping after fillers? what if fillers were years ago?

    • @StrivingforHealth
      @StrivingforHealth  Год назад

      If the fillers were several years ago then there wont be much left, if any at all, so taping is fine to do at that point. It is contraindicated to tape over the filler to ensure that you don't cause the filler to shift or migrate, which could be an issue. It is ok to tape on other parts of the face that dont have fillers. So for instance if you have filler in the nasolabial fold but you want to tape the 11's, that would be totally fine.

    Why stretching the tape is not recommended?

    • @StrivingforHealth
      @StrivingforHealth  7 месяцев назад +1

      I don't get about the fillers? All websites say you can do face massage after 2 weeks of getting filler which is more aggressive than face tape? So why can't you do face tape after 2 weeks. Also my doctor injector said is ok to face massage after couple weeks after filler

    • @StrivingforHealth
      @StrivingforHealth  Год назад

      @Karina
      When you are massaging the area with filler you are only massaging for a few minutes and it should be very gentle. When you are doing any of the overnight taping applications, you are putting constant strain on the filler since you are stretching the skin in a specific direction. This is done for 8 hours at a time with the goal of retraining the fascia (and area) into a different position. Since the filler is under the skin, and we don’t want to move the filler in any way, so we recommend not taping with fillers.
