i was given one of these by my uncle and out of the box it was the sharpest knife i have ever owned also i have never had to shaper it in the 2 years ive owned it and this is part of my edc gear
somethgin I notices years ago with knives is a good sharp knife will cut right through the nerves so you have less pain, a somewhat sharp knife tears the nerves leaving them damages but connected, thats where you get the soreness...
@PickinNgrinin you can make your own scales from either wooden or plastic cutting boards, just trace the shape of the knife out cut the slabs out with a jigsaw, then either sand or carve or grind the contours you want on the knife, if the handles seem too slim you can get cheap plastic flexible cutting boards and use them for liners to increase the thickness!
sooo you made that video to show us what a picture would have showed us, and to tell of how your finger doesn't hurt....? Hah, scary part is that I kinda liked it. I think the orange paracord looks very nice on it, It seems like a very nice blade for the money. I look forward to a full review after some use.
Nice reveiw, Ive had one of my knives close on me(stupid frame lock) and the serrations dug into my skin, so I had about 3 holes that were about 2-4mm deep in my pinky...... No pain, and after about half a minute of staring I saw blood come out. But it wasnt a very sharp knife...... Is interesting how the human body works.
that happened to me with a hatchet at a surplus store the other day with a hatchet! didn't even hurt even though it went in about 2 mil and 1 and a half cm long
Man wish mine came that sharp. Out of the box it couldn't even cut a thin flimsy 5 pound test fishing line. Ad to touch it up on the sharp maker to get it that sharp. My only disappointment being this is my first Becker and Kabar. My rat 1 folder came razor razor sharp like the one in this video. Filleted the top part of my skin doing the hair popping. Wired cause that has never happened to me in the last 4 years
lol, ur cut sold me. jk, I've been wanting a neck knife, just can't figure out if I should choose between the cold steel mini tac series or this becker necker series...
Sorry, I'm selling this knife and the guy who wants it wants me to leave it just the way it is. The trick is to pull it TIGHT for each rotation the cord makes around the handle. Good Luck!
The "paracord" that came with my bk 11 was cheap nylon rope. It looks like paracord, but it doesnt have the 7 strand core, so its not mil spec, nor is it as strong as true paracord. I was kind of disappointed that is was fake paracord. Luckily I had the real stuff on hand to wrap the handle and make a lanyard.
I've also seen on a few pictures that the included sheath has what looks to be a locking tab/loop thing so your blade won't fall out until you unlock that tab thing?
@NickPech Nevermind, I feel like a complete idiot now. I found the full review you did, It'd still b cool to do one after you've put it to "extensive" use. I wasn't ragging on you in the beginning, It was just kind of a funny video.
You are permanently bonded to this knife now. That's what a buddy of mine says lol, when you accidentally cut yourself with a new knife it's yours for life and there's a relationship of respect from then on. Haha
i have been watching Becker Necker Bk11 reviews thru the day.
i must say...great review. congrats!

It's also made by Ka-Bar.
The clip is made for their TDI Knife so look it up under that name.

That's ironic, my dad just sliced his finger open with this knife...sitting in the ER now. First time he's ever injured himself with a knife.
when i get cuts they dont hurt i almost sliced off my fingerprint on my right middle finger once it bled alot but almost didnt hurt at all
Could you make a video on how you wrapped your bk11?
I followed this video but it doesnt look as nice xD
who makes the clip that you put on the sheath? Does it work well?
that why you put the knife all the way to the second click. nice vid though
it was once said that "a knife is not truely yours until it tasted your blood".
They have micarta handles for these things, but they cost more than the damn knife.
can you scout carry that with the sheath and belt clip?
Is the clip molle compatible?
