I love the gauge cluster! So many people go to digital gauges when the do these kinds of swaps, it's good to see it still has needles! There's just something gratifying about watching a needle sweep across a speedometer or a tachometer vs reading a digital numbers climb higher and higher.
Brutally tasteful build, keep the essence of the truck perfectly intact!
In my opinion, you put your time & money into all the right places, very inspiring rig!
Beautiful color and sound. But....thats a "hot air" intake.
I was thinking the same thing! It's sucking hot air right off the front of the manifold. It would look way hotter with the stock air box back in place on this old truck
Exactly!!
Probably doesn't heat soak too bad but no isolation box and its not drawing cold air so yeah whatever the under hood temps get to!
If u sitting in traffic yes ... 2 minutes at 35mph+ iats aint problem at all ... all depends what u do. Dragstrip closed box 100% , roll racing open box ;)
First time I have seen an engine swap where the easy route of an auto trans was not taken. Well done and that is a beautiful truck.
Nice. Rebuilding a '76 long bed with my dad right now, and an '89 C1500 Chevrolet. These Fords are great trucks
I'm not usually a Ford guy...but that thing is sick! great truck!
I love that the factory trim was retained. Great configuration.
I have a 74 F100 Ranger long bed and I absolutely love this!
Thank you so much!
I honestly didn’t like it... til you started it. I love it now.
That's awesome man, nice work! My first vehicle ever was a '77 F100 custom, that I got when I was 15.
Same except it was an F150 custom lol
Had to watch it again, was distracted the 1st time.. excellent integration of the Dakota dash.. and that shot of the wiring panel.. wow! That means alot of work and knowing what you're doing. Love the rim/tire size combo. Straight black steelies.. you bet. Love the manual- I gotta have control of my driveline at certain rpm's, so automatic is out. Great video, I recommend watching it!
Thank you so much! I wanted a fast, comfy, and most of all fun driving vehicle. It’s a blast to drive!
Nice truck, definitely not a cold air intake though, it’s sucking all the heat from the engine bay.
Conrad White Yeah, I have the black plastic filter box that came with the CAI to go in sometime when figure out how to route the air from the grille to it.
Only at a dead stop. There is enough air flow through the engine bays on the F100's to keep the heat swept away at half and full song... Only reason these old trucks needed a radiator was for stop and go traffic...
agreed, only open element intake right now. Youd be better off with a stock intake until you get that CAI box ready.
@@feellnfroggy stock intake on these trucks would of been a carburetor filter....stock intake taken from a mustang would still need to be routed like a CAI box would need.
@@kramnull8962 how come mine gets hot all the time, they have big radiators because of big blocks
I really like the simple fresh vibe this truck expresses very well thought out . Be fun to tag along side you and rip it up in mine .
From a chevy guy, beautiful truck.
I owned a beautiful 1977 Ford F150 Ranger long bed. It had the factory two tone white and tan paint. No dents, no rust, absolutely beautiful truck. It had a factory 302 with auto trans, even had working factory A/C. Just a super clean truck inside and out. I should have never have sold it, but 8 mpg and with not driving it that much I decided to let it go. I sold it to a guy in his 50's who swore up and down he'd take care of it, etc. Broke my heart to see it full of dents and engine and trans tore apart a few years later. It turns out he had started to use methamphetamine and the rest is history. Don't use methamphetamine!
Poor truck. That is sad. I get attached to vehicles and want to see them taken care of even after I sell them.
My truck with the old 390 also got single digit mpg, had mid 200’s for hp, and ran 15.7 quarter miles. Now the mpg is double (or more), the hp is double, and the quarter mile should be in the 12’s. Plus it’ll cruise easily at 80 mph with the ac on. I love it!
Thanks to the Coyote swap F100 I've now subscribed to you're channel.
That truck is perfect for a daily driver. That's a very nice truck I want it
Nice build. Classic pu. I have 2 4x4s, Ive been hanging onto over 30 yrs. Always new they can be gold.
I want this! And I'm not even a Ford guy.
I like that body style , I like the round head lights and grill . I owned a 73 of course mine was nothing like yours . I don't like the square head lights . That is a nice truck...
LOVE the truck! We are building a '77 Flareside 2wd with a 351 - C6 & and 9"
That is one crispy truck. Love it.
nice truck buddy...great color..👍
That’s cool. I’m thinking of doing that to my 74 long bed. Coyote swap.
Great build man! Wish I had my '80 back! Exactly how I'd build it.
Im sure you can pick a 80 up for dirt cheap... especially if your gonna build it from the ground up.
That gauge cluster though. Gorgeous
Thats 1 badass truck. Beautiful
Thanks man✊
Reminds me of my dad’s. His was a 76 F100 with the 360 v8 and 3 speed auto. I wish I had that truck now to fix up nice like this one.
U did a good job on BLUE THUNDER, I Likes.
Dang nice build.. I bet that is whole lotta fun drive. Bet you've surprised a lot of people out on the road
Nice build dude ! Love to take her for a ride 😀
I'm in love with that truck
I respect this even more because you kept a Ford engine in it.... If this were a Chevy C/K pickup I would expect an LS motor.
That truck is a masterpiece.
Simple yet so powerful awesome truck man👍
Thank you!✊
That truck is absolutely gorgeous bro
Very nice. Very simple. Luv it.
thats about the coolest truck on the east and west side of the Mississippi
Not a ford guy, but that is a fine build. Rubber stereo antanae says it all! Looks like its seen some prevailing winds! Nice
Love the gauge cluster! 👍🏼👍🏼
Clean build! Love it!
Love that color man!! Kinda similar to the Blue Flame Metallic in the newer trucks. It’s so blue it almost hurts your eyes lol. I like Red Chevys and Blue Fords! Chrome would really make the blue pop but hey different strokes different folks 👍🏼
I’m really happy with the color as well. I don’t know the color name but I’d call it Super Blue.
Such a sweet rig brotha!
The straight six with three on the column is my favorite F100 Custum.
Viking Child that’s the same as driving a lawn tractor.
@@BLACKLACDTS
And what's wrong with driving a lawn tractor?
Viking Child zero balls.
Wow. I wish you woulda drove it. Cool up to there.
Caught my eye, used to have a blue 76 with black wheels. Nice, i like it.🖒
I would kill for this truck, I’ve always wanted a 76 ford pickup preferably a 250 or 350 but with being a college student haven’t had the money to get one but mark my words I will buy one before I die and will keep it till death
Beautiful truck! I really like seeing people fixing these older Ford's up.
Not a cold air intake though.
Oh well their goes 2 hp.
@@tumbleweedking5668 yeah, just a few ponies.
These old F100's didn't even need a radiator except for stop and go traffic. Plenty of air between the wheel wells...
Yes, the engine compartment in these trucks are massive.
Nice gauces good build
my dads doing something similar for his 56' F100. He's gonna use Gran Marquee suspension though with a 408 Windsor. Nice build though. One of my favorite body styles, besides the 56'.
Xx Cobrazz xX Thanks! I love a nicely built 408. A good set of aluminum heads and that thing will rock.
Nice truck, sounds great.
Nicely done. Looks great!
Nice truck!
Wow, absolutely love your truck. Must be a blast to drive. And wherever that is my girl and I want to move there lol.
Thank you, it is such a fun ride!! Haha, GA is a great place to live. 🤘
Cool truck. I have a 76 f100 I love to drive.
Sounds awesome brother.
Good gosh that truck is awesome
Incredible truck on planet...
Chevy camp here we all want this 🥰🥰🥰
Sweet ride !
Excellent build
Super nice truck. 👍
Not big on crown swaps, because I like my trucks factory height or slightly lifted. However, this truck is very awesome.
Thanks man! I’ve always liked lifted trucks better myself. I’ve got my Jeep to fulfill that “need.” My truck handles like a race car compared to the old I beam suspension that came out.
Man nice truck I wish we could have went for a ride
Beautiful truck man!!! Bad ass!!
OMG this is one Beautiful Truck 👍👌
looks hella clean all minus those rims
Piss moan, piss moan. Ok, the headers seem low, but keeeerishtz guys, it's a pretty piece. Word Up. Enjoy your effort, Mr. Blue Thunder dude. Congrats.
Thanks man! There’s a lot of haters in the world. I figure many people are unhappy and just try to bring others down with them.
That truck is sick
Sweet truck man.
Beautiful truck!
Nice truck man hope too get my truck like this one day
That dash is dope
That is a gorgeous dentside
Damn I want those guages for my truck.
not a Ford guy, but I can dig this....
That is a clean ass truck. Fucking bad ass.
Nice ride. Needs more rubber in the front.
TheKiltedYaksman1 needs better rims
@@anthonycach4301 Keepin it sleeper...
Beautiful! Well done.
Sir I approve 💯 !! this are real trucks!!
Mr piston Recaro Thank you so much! I’m loving driving this thing.
Nicely done !
Nice build . 💪🏾
Man I wish I could do this to my 72
Not bad at all i really enjoy the older vehicles compared to this new plastic filled crap they make now at today's standards it just seems to me that the older cars and trucks last a hell of a lot longer than the new ones always remember this "they are built not bought"
Awesome truck!
it's not a cold air intake when it's sucking hot air from inside the engine compartment
Mark Williams don’t be a dumbass it’s just called a cold air intake because it does in fact suck in colder air compared to the stock intake.
@@rhsuejdjehej Not at all. You are incorrect on every level. Stock or factory intakes do in fact allow for cold air to enter the intake through either the front grill area or through the fender area. An open filter under the hood doesn't allow for any additional power and actually will end up costing power. Cold air allows for a denser air charge. It would be nice if people would use facts rather then making things up.
Now, it's not going to matter much to really worry about it on that engine, however facts are facts and BS is just that.
Very nice!
Love the simple bad assness
Thank you! I was really going for a simple understated look with good sound, mpg’s, handling, and speed.
Nice truck.
Nice build, Wheels need caps thou
Now I know damn well that yote motor will melt those rear tires slam off the wheels...lmao
Awsome truck
What a dream! Nice!
Sick truck man. I bet it’s fast and food on gas
Do a review on that stang next
Yeah, I need to do that.
Very cool. I wish I had money☹
Sharp truck man...
Freaking awesome truck man
True sleeper
Damn nice truck
Whole Lotta Ford!
