    These bikes are all great, but unfortunately the price point on all these bikes have made them unattainable for your average person (especially here in the USA). No young person can afford any of this stuff. Motorcycle sales are WAY DOWN here, most dealers are closing here, sad to say.

    Most of the motorcycle RUclipsrs never ever talk about pillion comfort especially for touring motorcycles. That aspect is always either ignored or just one or two generic lines which gives no information.
    In most of the touring scenarios, you usually travel with partner and whether to invest in such an expensive bike with a pillion comfort sometimes becomes deal breaker. At this point, all the companies have good engines, good tech .. pretty much same... So what bike gives in terms of comfort to both rider and Pillion is deciding factor...

    • @zareengazi3206
      @zareengazi3206 Месяц назад

      That's a great point. I agreed. Comfort for both rider and pillion is often overlooked when considering a touring bike. While many companies offer powerful engines and advanced technology, the overall riding experience can be significantly impacted by the bike's ergonomics and suspension. It's essential to prioritize comfort when making a purchase, especially if you plan to travel long distances with a partner.

    Even though not "new" or "updated", the FJR1300ES deserves an honorable mention. It's absolutely jammed with technology, electronic suspension, IMU, modes, heated grips, electric windscreen, cornering lights, LEDs, yadda yadda blah blah. And it's shaft drive and has a bulletproof 1300cc four. It looks good and arguably is more functional and less expensive than some of the tall-rounders mentioned in the video. The FJR1300ES is only $1800 more than the Tracer 9 GT+, and in the touring space is WELL worth that extra few bucks.

The ECU flashing tuners I know about don't specify the FJR in their list of tunes but I'm sure it's easily tunable just much as other Yamaha bikes. Ivansperformance has a tune for it, but with slip-on exhaust. I'm guessing at least 20 pounds weight could come off with exhaust system and lithium battery. Factory cast wheels are beastly heavy. That's all additional costs.

    Strange that when it came to the sports tourer segment no mention was made of the 1250RS while both the Kawasaki Z1000sx and Suzuki 1000GT were along with the Suzuki 1000GX all of which the RS competes with as a single bike due to it's base and SE models along with the various options available. Yet you then added the new 1300GS to the mix which IMO is a different (and far more expensive) beast altogether. I guess you can't please everyone😂 otherwise a worthwhile review for those looking to change but not quite sure what they want 👍

      The entire hydrogen concept is fundamentally flawed and could be considered a scam. Hydrogen cannot be easily stored much less in large enough quantities to justify using as a combustion fuel. Unless you are talking about ocean liners, ocean tankers or 18 wheelers the large storage tanks under huge internal pressures mean entirely inefficient packaging and needlessly complicated engineering in anything resembling personal transportation. The hydrogen Toyotas have been a complete failure with the infrastructure itself being shut down in the US at least. Lawsuits from unhappy Toyota owners are flying right now.

    Everything else needs a finicky app that barely ever works to be hooked up to the bike. Some even require yearly subscriptions *cough*yamaha*cough*.

      Vibrations are still an issue and will be because of the T-plane crank, and the heat from the engine as well. These you-tubers must watch what they say otherwise they might not be invited to the next launch again. V-TOLD gave his honest opinion, and was never invited to any launch again. I rode the 900 GT Pro and Tiger 900 Rally, both had heat issues from the engine. That was in NZ conditions were it is not really that hot. 29-30 degrees Celsius max for a few days. If you live in a hot climate like Houston or California, NAH!!!! If you like a triple, you will live with the vibes above 110km/h. It's always a trade off. There will never be a perfect bike or car.

Not only that the only real use at the moment is for governments to blow their own horn about reducing emissions within their own fleets that have a vehicle that can use it. Once the grants are gone so will be the engineers. From what I understand there is only 300 vehicles in Can. that run H2

    I test road V-Strom 800RE on November. Lovely bike, really fast at any revs, comfortable to sit, quickshifter and gearbox much better than Transalp. But that windshield is insanely bad. It starts buffeting at like 30-40 miles per hour and it's much worse than just annoying. At high speeds you can feel your arms moving handlebars, because buffeting is so strong.
    I do not comprehend how they thought it was acceptable to put such a garbage on otherwise such a nice bike. It would be significantly better without any windscreen at all. And it's not just about your helmet, it's about all your body, including hands, torso and all (I'm 183cm (6 feet), but I don't think height matters as it starts at slow speeds and impacts the whole body, not just helmet).

    This segment just keeps getting better. Some great choices, from bottom to top. I put thousands of miles on my bikes every year, and I can't get past, though, having to deal with the legendary problems with the Europeans in particular. A touring setup implies there is a v. high probability you will make it to your destination without mechanical incident every time: in this segment that's not a luxury, but a requirement. My V-Strom 1K and, now, Super Tenere give me that reliable peace-of-mind, even though they might not rip as hard or have as many "features". With some minor upgrades I can hang with the best of them and can provide that spur-of-the-moment ride home for my buddies with BMWs with over 20K miles on them.

    Two things from me: 1. Suzuki make some great bikes, but their decision to close their dealers would mean I wouldn’t consider them. 2. I think hydrogen has missed the boat now, electric infrastructure is what is going in now, so no one is going to create parallel hydrogen infrastructure.

    Hydrogen if popular or pushed by govt will increase on availability it’s cleaner and continues to use the ICE. Lithium is dirt6 to min and still uses fossil fuels to generate
