Just wanted to say THANK YOU! I did a sign for one of my nieces wedding earlier this year and your tutorial gave me the confidence to make it! She loves the sign and has it in hanging in her home. I also used the rose gold foil!
I'm so happy to hear that!! The larger signs can be intimidating but once you do a few is just like any other project 🙂 So glad this helped and best wishes to your niece 🕊
Thank you so much for the ideao with having it recut the material to make it easier to weed! I've encountered this problem before and had no idea what to do! You are a life saver!
Very pretty! Whew that foil seems like it will give you a run for your money & time! I’ll just stick to permanent vinyl. This almost took me out! But I loved it! You are so patient!
I wonder if the grid tape I use would work better! Does seem like all the tutorials I watched had issues with it lifting though. Not sure I’ll try another foil to find out 😳
Thanks for showing how to do the sign. It’s beautiful. Do you mind sharing the thickness and size of the actual sign? I’m doing a seating chart one for a pastoral dinner celebration and I have no clue but I’m willing to do it. Thank you.
I will be making signs for my daughters wedding that is in November. I loved seeing how you applied the paint. What if your colors are very contrasted......like dusty rose and Cabernet
How sweet! If the colors are contrasting would try and use one as the lettering. If not would try for a white lettering to stick out against the background!
This is amazing! You did a great job! I am wanting to do this for my wedding, the colors are Emerald green & gold. I ended up making the shade of green I wanted BC I was having time finding a dark green. What should I do to prevent light from coming through? Should I do the green & use black as the finishing color? What do you think?
“If you’re in somewhere like Florida or Texas” Me, a Floridian that lives in Texas 🤓 lol I love your videos, soooo thorough and easy to follow. Doing this for my wedding
Your work is awesome. Any tips on cutting the foil vinyl? I added more pressure to the Cricut suggested settings but I’m not getting a clean cut. Thank you
Your videos are amazing, glad I came across your channel as I’m just starting out! Not sure if you can share (totally get if you can’t) but just wondering at what point do you run the design back to your customer; especially when you use colours? ☺️
Thank you so much, Amrit! If I'm working with a custom order or new colors I almost always create a small demo for the client to have a better idea how the colors will look! I make these on scrap acrylic
The foil is beautiful but I learned the hard way about cutting it also. I never thought about using an xacto knife to cut between the letters before weeding.
For local orders I have a whole collections or different style easels to go with different style signs. The only easels I ship are the copper ones since they can easily break down
Only local orders are rentals and I peel the vinyl off and reuse the material it is on. I don't remove paint from acrylics. It is too time-consuming with expensive cleaners that ruin the acrylic 😩
best tutorial I've seen. a lot of help
I was going to spray my acrylics with a spray can but then I was let me check how to paint acrylic came upon your Channel and I’m amazed ❤️
Yay so glad I could help!! I actually just filmed a spray painted sign and working on editing now 😀

Thanks for showing me it's HARD to get it to stick to the transfer paper, but thanks to you I persevered and got it done!
So glad I could help!
That foil vinyl IS hard to work with. But wow…what an impact! 👍🏻😍
It really does stand out from the regular vinyl! Thank you so much Jodie!! 💖🕊
Another amazing project! Keep em coming!! 😀
Thanks babe!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share greatly appreciate , I’m also a new subscriber 🤗

You are a life saver!
You are welcome! It was so frustrating with the one cut..I threw my tweezers across the room 😭😆
You tutorials are so precise, I'm doing my first sign for a friend this week.
Thank you!! Let us know how it turns out!

Thank you! Same here. Not sure if I’ll ever try it! Maybe just stick to the welcome sign then Oracal for the rest 😀
For foil u have to use strong grip transfer tape. It makes it so much easier. I don't know if it will leave residue on the acrylic tho.
I wonder if the grid tape I use would work better! Does seem like all the tutorials I watched had issues with it lifting though. Not sure I’ll try another foil to find out 😳

Absolutely beautiful ❤️
Does anyone know what font did she used?
Thank you so much!! Both fonts are linked in the video description :)
Thank you for this tutorial! So helpful! And where did you get that big roll of transfer tape???
So glad it helped! The transfer tape is linked in the video description :)

@@CarlyKeller sounds good, thank you!

Hi Carly, have you ever tried applying the words first then the paint on top of the words so everything is behind the acrylic?
I have with a pour painting once but I prefer the vinyl on top! Not sure how the back side of this foil would look though..
Where do you get your acrylic? I’m so grateful for your videos!
How do you reuse an acrylic sheet with paint at the back? Is there a product or technique you recommend to take off the paint?
I reuse these by peeling the vinyl off any keeping the back/color the same!
Do you buy easels by yourself or the groom and bride buy and hang their welcome sign? And with the copper sign did you make it by yourself?
For local orders I have a whole collections or different style easels to go with different style signs. The only easels I ship are the copper ones since they can easily break down
How do you clean the signs when they return to you? From paint, because erasing stickers i saw that you made video about it.
Only local orders are rentals and I peel the vinyl off and reuse the material it is on. I don't remove paint from acrylics. It is too time-consuming with expensive cleaners that ruin the acrylic 😩
What font size do you use on the names for something this large? I'm stumped on the sizing for the names.
Each name is different so I always add a placeholder in Cricut Design Space to know exactly how much room I'm working with!
I’m having the hardest making my cricut cut the through this vinyl. It’s looks like it’s being trace instead of cut. Any suggestions
Where do you get your acrylic and what's a good price point?
What is a good size for the welcome sign?
I like 18x24" or 24x32"! :)
We’re did you buy the Acrylic ?
Please can you tell me how can I get the acrylic sheet
Check out your local plastics store! Try googling "plastic fabrication company near me"
How big of a font in cm did you use for names of the bride and groom?
Using that tool you don’t cut through to the mat and mess it up?
I just use a lighter pressure!
That's my wedding day july 31st 2021 4 days away
