Hi everyone. I watched this video & made 2 signs for my gender reveal. For anyone looking for a method that works, I successfully managed to clear the acrylic of all paint without any haziness. I used 91% isopropyl spray & wiped with a rag - paint came right off. Then used glass cleaner & rinsed with hot water. Hope this helps! And thank you original poster for this video, it was a great guide!!
Hi I love the sign ! I always wondered how people printed larger things on the circuit so thank you for answering that question lol but I have another question.. I am doing a similar method for wedding invites but I am struggling to get the tiny letters to weed out and suggestions? Their names weed out perfectly but the actual details of where the wedding is and stuff are struggling big time
Hi! Thank you so much!! Vinyl isnt really meant for tiny letters...the smallest I will weed is about .4". So I recommend ordering through a site like basic invites, that offers affordable acrylic invites! Here is the link: www.basicinvite.com/wedding/wedding-invitations/clear-wedding-invitations.html
How did you cut the design on your cricut in two halves, the top and the bottom? Since it was one design png that you upload I’m confused on how to separate the top from the bottom
Great video... loooove your work 😍 Also great tip about designing games in Canva, when I design large projects in DS it lags soooo much! Do you just save it as a jpeg or svg then upload to DS? That way cricut doesn’t need the font?
Hi, I'm using Emitha on my document but for some reason when i change the letter spacing, the letters don't connect like they do with yours. If I type "Nicholas" or any name, the letters are all separated. Is there a setting for this? I love your video!
Hi Cecilia! Thank you so much 🧡 I'm guessing your lettering spacing is off but if your adjusting it then I'm not sure why its not working! Heres other fonts I like using for welcome signs: ruclips.net/video/vulhLCQtTdI/видео.html
Just wondering, do you let each layer of paint dry before adding another? Your colors are all very similar but I’ll be doing mine with 2-3 different colors.
Not sure how long this would take to dry on glass. I'd try to find an acrylic sheet if possible versus the glass as your guests will most likely take pictures with your sign and do not want anyone hurt
I’m having trouble with the cutting setting whenever I need to cut things it won’t cut all the way through or it will be too of a powerful cut that the machine takes the vynil what setting do u usually do
It is permanent but can be removed without damaging the acrylic! Just like a car decal..same vinyl and concept just on a bigger scale! Hope that helps :)
Great Video...What kind of transfer tape do you use on this because that came up so smooth...Mine always peel off the paint...Loved everything about this sign❤
Hi Gigi! The tape is linked in the video description :) I paint the backside of the acrylic and apply the vinyl to the front, so it wont touch the paint!
Great video! Is the link of the cricut maker that you left the exact same as yours in this video? The one on the link seems much smaller? Please can you help? xx
Carly Keller ooh perfect, thank you. Sorry one more question. Does this cricut maker allow you to print and create designs for large sizes such as A1 and A0 etc?
The paint is on the opposite side as the vinyl! You can remove the paint but its alot of work and scratches the acrylic. So I always start with a fresh piece unless I am renting out the same sign for my rental business! Then I just peel the vinyl off and add the new names/details on :)
Is there you can email me this template. I'm trying to follow the video but when I go to cut it on Cricut it isn't being cut equally so I'm not able to
Hi! I don't remove the paint from these but reuse them by removing the vinyl and using new decals for the next couple. Removing the paint is a messy job that requires expensive cleaners which end up blurring the piece anyways. Hope that helps!
Hi!! So I made my sign today and when I sponged on my three layers of paint I flipped it to check the other side and noticed there still is some little spots that appear clear :( Not huge and not a bunch, but enough to bother me lol. Any tips? Should I just go through and sponge another layer or two?

Nice! I've tried with cleaners/stripper before but totally wrecked the acrylic. Glad this method worked for you!!
Nicely explained
Thank you so much!
Very helpful. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Brilliant video
Thank you, Mariah!!
Great tutorial! Can I wet the acrylic a bit so as to move the letters around while I get them nice and straight?
Hi Jinnie Try the hinging method when applying: ruclips.net/user/shorts6WxbV_vCLjs
Beautiful job!
Thank you so much!!
Hi!! Wonderful video. What size was your sign? sorry didn't catch it..Thank you!
Hi Lisa! This is a 18x24"
Absolutely stunning!
Thank you so much!
Great work, I really like it...tell please which printer did you use?
She used a cricut cutting machine to cut the vinyl!
@@WeirdoRach I'm not asking about cutting them.... I'm asking about the printer
What transfer tape are you using please , your sign looks amazing .x
Its linked in the video description :)

Hello, I’m about to make a sign, but I bought Oracle removable vinyl. Do you think that will still work alright? Outdoor wedding in Spring.
Hi! Yes, I think that will work just fine but can always do a test cut with a small piece. Let us know how it turns out!
Absolutely beautiful! Where do you purchase your plexiglass?
Thank you so much! The acrylic is from my local plastics store :)
Love love love. You kick ass girl!
Thank you so much Nicole 💖💖
Does the Cricut Explore Air one work just the same as the regular Cricut Maker? Sorry if that’s a silly question! I’m very new ro this
I believe so! I had the Explore 2 before the Maker and was able to make all the same type of projects :)
How did you cut the design on your cricut in two halves, the top and the bottom? Since it was one design png that you upload I’m confused on how to separate the top from the bottom
Yes I slice it in Cricut Design Space into pieces that will fit on my mat
Hey quick question… when you do your paint acrylic wedding signs do you put a sealer on before after or not at all?
Hey! I usually dont on the sponged style signs since its hard to see any scratches or imperfections! Will use a polycrylic to seal the paint if needed
Love it
Do you seal the back to stop scratching
Do you need to add anything to the paint afterwards? If it scapes will the paint come off? This was a beautiful piece!
Hi Zoe! You can always add polycrylic to the painted side for a layer of protection. Sometimes these do scratch from leaning on the easels!
عمل رائع جدا
أحببته كثيرا
Where do you get the acrylic boards? This is so cute
Thank you! From my local plastics store
So beautiful! What's the size of the Acrylic sign?
Thank you!! This is a 18x24"
Nice! Did you add white or is that the landscape making it look that way?
There is no white in the sign so must be the landscaping!
Hi, just wondering where I can get the easel stands you show in your videos (when not using the copper pipe)?
Hi Lindsay! Some are purchased from all over, some are handmade. Michaels has a decent selection of easels!
Great video... loooove your work 😍 Also great tip about designing games in Canva, when I design large projects in DS it lags soooo much!
Do you just save it as a jpeg or svg then upload to DS? That way cricut doesn’t need the font?
Thanks Lisa! Its actually saved as a png w/ transparent background! See how at about the 3:00 mark :)
Love the acrylic sign. Thank you so much for the video. Where can we get the acrylic?
Thank you!! The acrylic is from my local plastics store. I bet you have one near you..just google "plastic fabrication company near me"
Do you ever have a problem with the Cricut messing up the small intricate lines? ESP like on small shop signage?
Yes I don't use my Cricut for smaller signs. If someone needs alot of details on something will offer a larger sign to accommodate!
Do you have your plastic store polish the acrylic sheet edges? You have awesome content!
Thank you so much Bianca! This is an option through my plastics store but I always skip since they do such a great job cutting 😀

Hello, do you have another option for Cricut, a cheaper one?
Check out the older models of Cricut as they have alot of the same capabilities. The Cricut Air 2 is one of my favs!
Hi, I think you mentioned it another video, but what do you seal the paint with? Also got so you prevent the paint from looking scratchy?
Polycrylic
HI! I like using this: amzn.to/2DWZbWZ
@@CarlyKeller thank you so much! Love your work!
@@alisha111501 thank you!

Hi how do you package your signs? :) I’m scared to sell when I Wont package well!
Hi! I'm working on a video for this :)
I did a lot of layers but when I hold the sign to the sun it is still kinda seethrough. Is that normal? Or am I doing something wrong?
Beautiful!
Thank you so much! 💙💙
What did you put underneath the acrylic while you added the paint?
I use a large brown packaging paper then reuse that over and over
If I use acrylic paint on a glass from an old frame, how long in between coats do I need to let it dry?
Not sure how long this would take to dry on glass. I'd try to find an acrylic sheet if possible versus the glass as your guests will most likely take pictures with your sign and do not want anyone hurt
Can i know the name of the colour what kind of blue is tht
The blue is Craftsmart Pewter
I’m having trouble with the cutting setting whenever I need to cut things it won’t cut all the way through or it will be too of a powerful cut that the machine takes the vynil what setting do u usually do
Where do you get the glass sign?
Its acrylic form my local plastics store!
What font did you use for the "Welcome to"? I thought it was the open sans but it looks different on mine
Hi Christina! That font is Montserrat from Canva :)
Is your vinyl permanent adhesive? If so, are you able to remove it to reuse the acrylic?
It is permanent but can be removed without damaging the acrylic! Just like a car decal..same vinyl and concept just on a bigger scale! Hope that helps :)
What transfer tape do you use? The link isn't working
Thank you for letting me know! The link should work now :)

Hi Gigi! The tape is linked in the video description :) I paint the backside of the acrylic and apply the vinyl to the front, so it wont touch the paint!
Did you place the vinyl on the opposite side of the paint?
Yes! So the backside is painted
What font did you use for the names?
When you said they wanted the & instead of the + did you just peel up the vinyl?
Exactly! Heres how I remove vinyl from various pieces: ruclips.net/video/s9gUK02EALc/видео.html
Thank you so much! I used your tutorial yesterday and made one it came out beautiful!
I'm so happy to hear that Brenda!!
hi what are the dimensions of your sign, I plan to purchase one from lowe's. Thanks!
This is 18x24" :)
How would you pack and ship this

Thank you so much! Yes, the one that is linked is the same as mine! Champagne color and all 💕
Carly Keller ooh perfect, thank you. Sorry one more question. Does this cricut maker allow you to print and create designs for large sizes such as A1 and A0 etc?
Hey, sorry Carly. Any way you could advise on the above please?
Could a cricut explore 2 achieve this too? Or just the cricut maker?
What cricut machine do you use please xxx
The Maker :)
Love this! Do any Acrylic paints work?
Thank you! I use all types of acrylic paint for signs..different brands and sheens (matte, satin, glossy, metallic, etc.)
I am having trouble finding ethima. Do you have any idea on how to get it
Its spelled Emitha! Hope that helps 🤍
What size is this acrylic sheet?
This is a 18x24"
This is with the Explore Air 2?
This was with a Cricut Maker but can be made on the Air 2 😊
What thickness is the acrylic?
This is 1/8"
Hello! Which brand/type of adhesive vinyl do you recommend that is not permanent but can be taken off so we can use the acrylic again? Thank you!!
Hi Evie! My fav is Oracal (linked in the video description). Its "permanent" but can still be removed, just like car decals 👌
How much should I sell 18x24 sign like this ?
Whatever the materials, time and effort you put into it are worth to you!
This is beautiful! Can we use varnish on the acrylic to keep it from scraping?
Yes, you can! Check out this tutorial to see how: ruclips.net/video/d_IgqaMh_ek/видео.html
I love your work!!
Thank you!! I have the pro subscription so I can download images with transparent backgrounds! Saves me so much time in Cricut Designs Space
What thickness did you use for this sign?
This is an 1/8"
When you made your template in design space did you do a 18x 24 image as well?
Yes I size the template box to the same size as my acrylic!
Where do you purchase your acrylic sheets?
Hi Perla! I get them from my local plastics store :) Every major city should have at least one option. There are 3 in Denver!
Do you put the painted side upside down ? Are you able to remove the paint?
The paint is on the opposite side as the vinyl! You can remove the paint but its alot of work and scratches the acrylic. So I always start with a fresh piece unless I am renting out the same sign for my rental business! Then I just peel the vinyl off and add the new names/details on :)
Is there you can email me this template. I'm trying to follow the video but when I go to cut it on Cricut it isn't being cut equally so I'm not able to
Hello Friend I am wondering about font ?
If you can mention please
Whats the font size?
Each section is different so check the video for each :)
Hi there, how do you remove the paint from the acrylic (to reuse the frame?) x

BEAUTIFUL WORK! Question.. How much do charge per rental? Is it a 24 hour rental?? TIA

Hi!! I would add another layer or even a darker one if you want a more solid look :)
This is beautiful! What’s the name of the font you used for the names? I can’t find it on Canva
Thank you so much Mitzie! Fonts are Emitha & Montserrat from Canva.com :)
What kind of sponge is that ?
Hi Alex! I just added the link to these in the video description :)
Carly Keller thank you ! I just ordered it
