July is World Watercolor Month! Will you be doing any art this summer? Let us know what items you use to create your art in the comments.
I'm gonna be participating in ArtFight
I usually use Pilot Colour Eno pencils for guidelines, a sepia micron for inking, and Prismacolor Premiere pencils for colouring
nope
Didn't know it's a thing. I'm currently finishing a gouache painting for my little cousin if that counts.
Actually it's my birthday month! I hope to make a watercolor beach this month too!
I will use copic markers
I've loved Microns and Tombow brush pens since I was a kid. I also recommend Bristol sketchbooks and sketchpads. Their paper quality is really nice and has some good texture to it, like the sketchbooks shown in this video.
We used Bristol paper in my art classes in college, at least we did in the 100 and 200 levels.
UniBall Sigma white gel pen, my favorite white gel pen.
I use my white Gelly Roll instead of correction tape or a correction pen. 😅 is not super clean but I don’t mind, I just cannot stand how it feels to write over correction tape or pen… the Gelly Roll dries quickly and doesn’t feel weird to write on it.
I use the Tombow Mono erasers, the white Uni-ball Signo gel pens, Tombow markers, and Sakura Micron and like them all.
I have just started painting in water color again after many years. Inspired by some of the artists on utube, I hunted up some supplies. I started by flipping thru my old sketchbooks and adding color which was fun and easy. Now I can't stop which is a good thing ! I had been searching for an activity I could do sitting down due to arthritis. This is it. I ordered some small paint sets and extra brushes and I 'm on the lookout for more cold press sheets. Thankyou, Art World and thankyou Jet Pens !
I've missed your voice Antonia!
I second the Uni Arterase Colored Pencils recommendation, I find them to be so underrated compared to other colored pencils/leads.
I don't use them much for coloring, but best sketching colored pencils I've personally tried. I find it to be the perfect combo of easily eraseable yet still pigmented. The Prismacolor Col Erase, Uni NanoDia Color lead and Pilot Color Eno lead are other colored options I've tried for sketching, but Uni Arterase are more vibrant than all of them, and erases more cleanly than the Prismacolor Col Erase.
All the other options I named are also carried by JetPens and great options too though depending on your preferences.
Microns are the best for ink and wash - I've tested so many brands and nothing holds up to watercolor work like them!
The Koi palettes are so well designed but I'm not a fan of the actual paints - I vastly prefer the Kuretake Gansai colors, and still reach for them over my artist-grade watercolors for bright, cheerful sketchbook doodles!
I totally agree with the koi watercolors! They’re very chalky and weren’t my favorite despite the color payoff
i´m so not a fan of micorns anymore i prefer the Staedler pigment liner series. affordable and long lasting. Also the ink will not fade if you erase over it like with microns.
Same here, plus I have found that the Sakura is not always waterproof, I have gone over sketches with a light wash only to have the ink bleed into my watercolor.
I use my microns and Koi watercolor set every day. So worth the investment
Nice hearing your voice again!
Jetpens: time to make a new wish list!
Me: yes honey
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Oh my goodness!! I love all the choices your presented! 💗 All things stationery, I'm there! 🤗
These are excellent recommendations!
I've been doing art for years and still use a lot of the products in this video!
The Sakura Koi watercolors are the best for beginners! The 18 pan set was my first set of watercolors. Even after I took a college watercolor class and was required to use Winsor & Newton Cotman tubes, I preferred the Sakura koi for years. Only when I started selling my paintings did I go back to the W&N set because those are more professional quality.
Wow these are pretty good, amazing 🤩
Wow
Beautiful
Loved the Sakura koi watercolor set, have to get one.
I already put the tiny watercolour on my wish list. Great gift idea!💋 I love tombow markers.
Brush pens are so satisfying to use.
Antoniaaaaa! Happy to see ya here in Jetpens video =)
Love them all
I love these colorful stuff 0:17
Perfect video for me, no question
I use the micron and white jelly roll pen, they are amazing! I wanna try out the other things now too
As someone who sketches a lot I will have to try this supplies
Those Uni erasable color pencils look so nice nyo!
I use Tachikawa, Kakuno and Penmanship fountain pens, and recently a technical pen with my watercolour. Orenz and Color ENOs are great for sketching, and i love the Mono detail eraser.
as an intermediate artist, i use the new soho sketchbook, i bought it from a store and its very good, ive been using it for a few months now.
Love you palletes
Awesome
I loved the video....I have a Koi watercolour in 18 colours too. Super hood and handy. I think you guys could show a good mechanical pencil with a blue led too...big hug to all😍😍
I picked up some microns one day at Target! I love them and don't even let my sisters use them lol.
Absolutely love Sakura Micron pens! but for pencils and erasers I'll go with Staedler because these are slightly cheaper here
Nice video. I'm happy to see that I have all of them except for the tombow markers. Makes me regret not buying them. I used the same sketchpad and it's really good for beginners and also for drawing/painting practice.
I also use uni pin & super tips.
And since i'm on a budget right now. I buy my art supplies from second hand store. I sometimes got a brandnew stuffs & an artist grade materials. 🥰
Personally I really like the Staedtler fineliners over the micron ones because of their rounder tips. The microns always had a flat nib for me except the smaller sizes but it is very iconic
I looooove Sakura Microns. Although, since I prefer thicc lineart, I don't really have a lot of colour options (at Michael's)
I've also used tombow pens, but since I rarely go to Michael's (I know I would spend a lot of money there), I don't really use them (I literally only have two)
Instead, I use Zebra Mildliners, for when I don't feel like using my alcohol markers
I want it all
I like her voice for these videos
Not really that into art but I've been eyeing to buy a sakura pigma micron pen for writing since I love storing paper
I use Sakura Gelly Roll white pens and I've never had an issue with them drying up🙂
I need to stop watching theese videos because I finna go bankrupt 😭😭
What font are you using for your videos ? It is beautiful
Take my freaking money!!!!
I'm not a fan of using B grades for sketching since they tend to smear under your hand and rub off on it. As soon as I go through all my HB lead, I'm going for H lead.
Those colored pencils look nice!
The watercolor paper, though ... there is a substantial difference between a watercolor PAD and a watercolor SKETCHBOOK. What you showed was a pad; if someone expects it to hold up like a sketchbook, they will be very disappointed.
i love this and early
Nice 🗿👍🏻
I wanna buy those thing for our f2f classes
消しゴムだけでも、更にいいの沢山あるから紹介してほしい
I never knew Unibal / Mitsubishi had color pencils!!!! LOL
what notebook/sketchbook did you guys use for the tombow dual demonstration?
the erasable color pencils are very interesting cause i like to sketch using colorpencils then draws it with a sakura pen afterwards but the color pencils i use aren't erasable. Maybe I should buy one
Something I've been wondering that I haven't been able to find the answer to, is do you know what direction Japanese sketchbooks are meant to be used? I got a spiralbound Maruman zuan sketchbook and after using it for a bit noticed that the paper has a different texture on either side. I had been using the sketchbook from left to right, but considering that in Japan they read from right to left I wondered if that was the direction the sketchbook was also meant to be used? The covers are no help in determining which part of the sketchbook is the front as they look exactly the same. I know you can use whatever side of the paper works for you and that it isn't a big deal. I was just curious.
What is the notebook that was used for the "scotland trip" page?
It looks so clean and nice with the border and the area for the title especially for art journalling!!
Hi there! That's a Midori MD Notebook Journal - Frame in A5: www.jetpens.com/Midori-MD-Notebook-Journal-A5-Frame/pd/26420
Ooo, I haven’t seen the arterase pencils yet, are they only in that small pack or are there more colors?
Hi there! They're available in tins and individually: www.jetpens.com/Uni-Arterase-Color-Pencils/ct/1659
Hello Jetpens, are your items for sale in my country, Indonesia?

Which thing Mitsubishi would do next? Cars, batteries, pencils, next?
Please bring rollerball pen in india
Can i have them in Bangladesh?
We ship to Bangladesh! Just set it as your country when checking out on our site.
Pigma Micron... really? But they are not good. But Uni Pin Fineliner are great ... and I think the Pentel Pointliner looks good. I have only used mine a little, but looks very promising.
JetPens: The voiceover in this video is very nice. Pleasing. ... Sadly you have many videos with a very bad speaker.
sigh.... just take my money
Sorry but everything on the list I'm dreaming to have it all 🥲 but i can't afford it right now yet so I just wait till i save more money!
Approx. 5+ years ago, I was gifted a multi color pack of Sakura Micron (at the time I wasn’t familiar with the infamous fine liner, but I wasn’t following JetPens either); those same Microns are still running strong today 😍
