Right. You might love people well enough (I certainly do) but when you’re honing into your own business/inner life the last thing you want is for people you don’t even want to interact with in that moment making your quiet, reserved nature a big talking point. When you’ve got such a rich inner life you’re naturally going to be comfortable spending more than half of your time in it and connecting with people meaningfully in your own terms. Small talk can just kill the introspective vibe and people pointing out your quietness like it’s a bad thing are just making it less and less likely for you to ever want to communicate with them in any capacity.

Many don't respect us though and don't know when to talk/not to talk. For example, when I'm out in public doing mundane tasks like grocery shopping, I'm not standing in the aisle looking for friends...I want to get what I'm there for and go. I don't want to have a conversation while waiting in line. Whatever the overly talkative extrovert has to say, I really don't care. All I want is to be left alone and that is infringed upon way too often. Many extroverts have zero clue when to talk and when to leave people alone. I give off tons of non-verbal cues that I'm not interested in small talk...I don't make eye contact or smile at people, I look at my phone, I don't initiate conversation. I don't like.to have to be rude, but I do get rude when I'm giving out every bit of body language that I'm not interested and I'm giving one word replies in a short tone while looking at my phone to show I'm not interested.

Introverts mean people who are just drained by socially interacting, and when left alone is when they recharge, it doesn't mean that they can't be social. Extroverts recharge by being social, but that doesn't mean they can't be shy. An Ambivert is when you can get drained by both things, but depending on the time recharged by both things.

Die hard introvert here. Although I do like many of the personal traits that extroverts have, I’m honestly very proud of being an introvert especially after seeing many of my extroverted colleagues at work (I work in an extroverted field where I have to interact with clients on daily basis, very mentally exhausting). But that doesn’t mean I don’t have friends or don’t enjoy going to the parties/go to socializing with co workers after work. Small talk is good. But purely doing small talk for the sake of talking without developing a deeper connection with people is meaningless and time wasting.

Depend on what you define as best. My girl is an introvert, while she makes excellent decisions it can take 100 years. My decisions take 5 mins with good results.
I think with decisions over time, introverts are the best. For split-second decisions, in an emergency for example, extroverts are often the best because introverts can take too long arriving at a decision.

I'd say I'm a ambivert. When I need to talk I will, speech's in front of people don't scare me, imagine that, can make small talk when needed but when I've had it no amount of talking will pull me out until I want to.
Literally had an argument with someone about things I've noticed about most people in a certain part of California...the other person strongly disagreed On the subject not actually realizing I'm VERY observant in my surroundings...instead they think I'm ""tripping out"" this is why I'm very quiet & to myself

Although I do like many of the personal traits that extroverts have, I’m honestly very proud of being an introvert especially after seeing many of my extroverted colleagues at work (I work in an extroverted field where I have to interact with clients on daily basis, very mentally exhausting). But that doesn’t mean I don’t have friends or don’t enjoy going to the parties/go to socializing with co workers after work.
Small talk is good. But purely doing small talk for the sake of talking without developing a deeper connection with people is meaningless and time wasting.

Depend on what you define as best. My girl is an introvert, while she makes excellent decisions it can take 100 years. My decisions take 5 mins with good results.

I think with decisions over time, introverts are the best. For split-second decisions, in an emergency for example, extroverts are often the best because introverts can take too long arriving at a decision.

I'd say I'm a ambivert. When I need to talk I will, speech's in front of people don't scare me, imagine that, can make small talk when needed but when I've had it no amount of talking will pull me out until I want to.

True, true, and more true. About the introverts. As far as extroverts are concerned, I dated two extroverts 1 time each and both of them were constantly answering their cell phones. Constantly keeping it on Buzz so I wouldn't hear it ring, but they were taking it out of their pocket or peeking into their chest pocket at the message. That was so offensive I never saw either one again

Im the type of introvert who wants to socialize but its too shy to do it.. Sometimes i feel too sad that i really want to open myself to someone and copy the extrovert type bc i see them very happy and making some bold decisions în their circumstances. The more i tried the better i am now at comunicating.. Every introvert should Try to open up to a close friend or a parent. PLEASE DONT HOLD IN TOO MUCH SADNESS OR FEELINGS OF LONELINESS IN UR SHORT LIFE. U DESERVE TO BE LISTENED AND RESPECTED.
