I have been in agonizing pain for about 8 years now. I've been to countless chiropractic visits, physical therapy and neurologists. I have spent thousands of dollars with no resolve. It's now been a couple years since I've stopped pursuing help because I've come to the belief that nothing will ever help rid me of this perpetual pain. I do stretches and try keeping active, but still can't sleep through the night. I often wonder what I did to deserve such a curse in this one and only life I've been given. I wish this on nobody.

may i ask what caused your injury at 22?

    • @rocketmann8333
      @rocketmann8333 11 месяцев назад

@@bendixtrinity I was hauling steel drip edging that was bundled into packs measuring approx. 12" x 14" x 20', that weighed about 350 lbs each. They were stacked on the flat bed trailer about 3' high down the center between the two beams of the trailer. At my delivery destination, I and another guy had to manually lift those bundles, because the beams would not allow the forks on the lift to get under them. When I picked up the last bundle I could not see the missing plank because my view was blocked by the bundle in my hands. (While I was out on a 4 day break the trailer had been sent for repairs for missing plank sections. Unknown to me, the company failed to replace all the broken planks and loaded the trailer anyway.) I had all my weight and the weight of that steel bundle on one leg, the leg that stepped into the hole! I immediately plunged down grabbing reflexively at the bundle and pulled it out of the hands of the other guy bringing it up against my left hip. When I slammed into the trailers surface on my rear the force of the bundle of steel slammed into my hip and snapped my 5th vertebrae, sounded like a .22 firing. My jeans were ripped on the leg that went through and it grated the skin off the back of my upper leg, I went into a state of shock and got really pissed! I made it to an ER clinic and they informed me that I had some type of injury in the L5 area, hard to see in X-ray. Workman's comp screwed with me for over a year, denying me treatment from a specialist because I went back home to Georgia to stay at my mommas until I could get some help. I eventually had the industrial accident board get involved and they made the insurance company get me all the care I needed. I was sick to find out that my back could have been pinned at the time of the incident and would have healed fine. But because of the failure of workman's comp I had to have a horrible surgery and end up with a 25% disability rating that kept me from my dream of going into the Air Force as a pilot.. I have some bad back days and its painful and hard to stand up straight but after moving around I can generally go through the day OK... I'm 61 now, I only hope I can still walk at 70+... I've been a Plumber as a career and all that heavy loads and crawling hasn't helped the wear and tear on my patched up back But Oh well. I thank God It doesn't slow me down much. I do what I want mostly. i just have to always remind myself when I go picking up heavy stuff (TO BE CAREFUL) :)... Have a great day!

The relief i got from whiplash was incredible! Stiff neck for 2 weeks couldn't move my head in tears. The discs got jammed and muscle tissue squished.
It takes a trained chiropractor to release these. I'm proof it works. I just about jumped off the table no pain anymore. Keep your back supple with a Shiatsu back massager.
Headaches backache etc shows your back is out of alignment. Pain means your brain say help me.
Massage daily is necessary to keep the body straight. No more headaches butt legs feet aches. No more damn pills which brings more problems. But many ppl don't listen. Yes I will be 68 this year. Look 45. My oldest is 44.

Some of it depends on the posture of the patient. If they return to their old habits of sitting on a leg, crossing their legs, sitting on their wallet in their hip pocket etc, the problem will definitely return. I found that out the hard way. Good posture is a MUST after an adjustment. Sit up straight, both feet flat in the floor.

Long story about why I had to "pick" a different one... internet wasn't a huge thing then.
First of all, this guy totally misdiagnosed what was going on with my back and when he did that adjustment it...I screamed as searing pain shot thru my spine. It took my breath away and I couldn't even speak for several minutes as afterward. I couldn't even stand up straight the pain was so bad and could barely make it to my car due to the excruciating pain. Btw, I have a very very high tolerance to pain...more than most people according to my doctors.
I went to the ER from there and they told me the chiropractor had apparently ruptured 2 discs. They told me, he came very close to paralyzing me.
So, screw you buddy, before you go assuming things about people you should ask some more questions about their story.

@@bignat9if you think that a chiropractic adjustment can fix a herniated disc you need to educate yourself on anatomy. It may be able to temporarily provide some level of pain relief due to the release of neurotransmitters that affect your pain perception. But it doesn’t fix anything. The popping sounds that chiropractors actively seek to produce are literally just popping nitrogen gas bubbles within the synovial space in joints. At the end of the day it’s really subjective, if someone feels like they benefit from chiropractic care then great, but they’ll probably be going fairly regularly for a very long time. I personally prefer physical therapy for musculoskeletal issues because it can treat root causes from muscular imbalances and dysfunctions that cause the pain to provide long-term or permanent relief AND teach you to recognize the onset of an exacerbation of a recurring problem and be able to prevent it from becoming a real issue requiring more treatment through exercises and stretches. I have sciatica, only needed to go to PT for 2 weeks, never been back, I now have the skills to recognize and prevent it from recurring when I start noticing the signs of sciatic nerve pain.

Obv this is anecdotal and 8 months isn’t a long time, but it’s truly changed my life. Yes, this man probably had a ton of pain relief. But it's only temporary. After the adjustment, it's important to do something that promotes blood flow to the area. This can be done by stretching/mobility work. Exercises or a deep massage. It will soften the muscles so they are not constantly pulling at the spine and misaligned it and the extra blood flow will deliver nutrition to the injured area needed to recover the injury.

And THIS, ladies and gentlemen is the definition of "good pain". It hurts, sometimes BADLY, but is very short in duration, and after the nerves go spastic for a bit, settle down and the "bad pain" begins to subside. "Good pain" is your friend.

@@jayblack5942 Anything I'm typing isn't garbage 🤣 I have a doctorate and work daily with patients like this. Any relief he got is from neurologic desensitization; something that occurs from any manipulation/mobilization. Not saying it doesn't help, but it is absolutely not a permanent solution. It doesn't "fix your disc" and it does nothing to address the source of his pain. People with severe chronic pain are easily marketed with quackery such as this. That's his target audience. Get desperate people to drop $$$ for the false promise of a quick fix. Chiropractic has a place in healthcare, but beware of any practitioner that has broad claims about being better in 1-3 visits.
