    A chiropractor can offer temporary relief - but permanent relief & stability is found in strengthening the muscles around the problem area to support them.
    Edit: In response to some common replies; having to back to a chiropractor over & over & over again is not sustainable, because that's making you dependent on another person just to function and it's a drain for all your money, it's psychologically conditioning you to think that it's normal.
    Seeking out a physical therapist (actual licensed medical practitioners) will allow you to gain that independance from an abusive cycle. As the therapist is giving you your physical health back, you are able to pick up on the right methods to take care of your body ON YOUR OWN and ensuring that the problem never comes up again.
    As a further and final note; this advice applies to most circumstances and conditions - if you have a more specialized condition, you should try to find the right treatment plan for you & be aware of abusive or ineffective methods.

      This is true, but you can just as easily say the same about your regular doctors who prescribe medications. A lot of medical conditions would solve themselves thriugh exercise, sunlight, good sleep, exercise, and a healthier diet, no drugs as a lermanent solution. I have had a chiropractor legitimately help heal nerve damage from pinched nerves.

      Yeah, a Chiropractor's goal is to get you OUT of pain for long enough that you can STAY out of pain.

      I think chiropractors can work wonders, but should also be prescribing physical therapy to correct the issue in a more permanent way.

    • @AlphaPoppa38
      @AlphaPoppa38 4 месяца назад +149

      I always see people say this. Can you show me any scientific evidence that this is true and chiropractic is any more temporary than surgery or physical therapy?

    • @mesk412
      @mesk412 4 месяца назад +267

      @AlphaPoppa38 anecdotally, let's say you are having lumbar pain because of a muscle imbalance in your pelvis/hips. A chiropractor could likely straighten you out and pop things into place, but that hasn't addressed the root of the problem and you will likely wind up with the same issue again. It's treating the symptom, not the problem.

    I always see a lot of people in the comments saying that this is only temporary relief and well that may be true. Many people forget the mental and emotional aspect of it. That 24 or 48 hours of relief can change your whole aspect which can transform the whole function of your body. Your body does what you think it will.

    • @Sunnysunnyy791
      @Sunnysunnyy791 4 дня назад

      that’s not the point, it’s bad for a momentary relief because of that feeling, people think “wow it’s helping my body and I feel better” and later on when they’re bad again they start thinking “hey I should do that again it helps my body…” it becomes a cycle of dependency on it, it’s also sometimes dangerous, (everything is dangerous to some degree) but it’s had several people who came in with pain and left paralyzed

      The difference is a Doctor only has 2 options, Drugs that are usually horrible and addicting or Surgery. I’m so glad Stem Cell Replacement Therapy is starting to get huge so it can stop all these doctors and surgeons from only prescribing drugs or surgeries. I’m all for Doctors and Surgeons and the miracle work they do when the patients need it however I can’t respect the fact that they out down Chiropractors and make them seem like quacks just because they want to do it naturally. That’s how backwards this world is, I have yet to come across a Doctor or Surgeon that has said you know what, try a Chiropractor first or why don’t they work hand in hand with Chiropractors and let that be the first option and if that doesn’t work then move on to possible surgery. They work with Physical Therapists but that’s only because they need them after the patient has had surgery. The only way Hospitals will support Chiropractors is if they can make money off of them like possibly employing their own Chiropractors and then getting approval from the Government for Health Care to cover their Chiropractors so then they can make money that way too.

There were several who said their MD’s would warn them about going to chiropractors. So some didn’t tell them they did. Others were bold and told their MD’s they went and were helped. One guy had to be carried into the office because of severe back pain. Walked out on his own. When I told him the charge was $20 he was shocked. Dad could have charged much more and the guy would have paid it, but Dad was a man of great integrity and sometimes never even charged.

    My mom is 71. She had her first of 10 neck/back surgeries when she was 24. Her last surgery was an anterior and posterior cervical fusion, and it took 5 hours. I’ve never known my mom to not be in pain- and she won’t take anything stronger than Tylenol or ibuprofen, but she still keeps on smiling. I wish she could be pain free once and for all.

    My only real interaction with a chiropractor was not long after meeting my wife. I'd injured my back with a nasty fall and had a bit of recurring pain. I managed it ok with ibuprofen, but it kept coming back. I saw a doctor and he said "I can refer you for surgery, or I can prescribe narcotics." I didn't like either one of those options. My wife introduced me to a family friend of hers who is a chiropractor. He did a quick adjustment and that part of my back never hurt me again. As long as chiropractors stay in their lane, the relief they can offer is incredible.

    I was hit by a police car more than 30 years ago. It gave me 4 herniated disks and the orthopedic doctors all said I would never get well unless I had an operation. I refused. I went to a chiropractic clinic where new chiropractic doctor begin their careers. They gave me a good deal and I was able to go get adjusted 5 days a week. Without it I couldn’t walk and could hardly endure the pain. I let all of them adjust me. It took 3 years, but I never had an operation. I carried 2 pregnancies after that and had natural births. I hardly ever go to the chiropractor any more. My back just stopped hurting one day and it was over. PS, I also kept faith in prayer and waited on my Almighty Father in Jesus name. God and me won!

      Praying for you and please go and get a great chiropractor or osteopath to help you. As someone (like you) who has lived with chronic pain for over 20 years, it has been an absolute game changer for me. I never had surgery on my lower back or hips, only because I had friends who had it done and it didn’t help them long term. One of my friends is actually worse off. Don’t get me wrong, surgery is needed sometimes. (Obviously, especially with trauma) but…. If you find an amazing chiropractor or osteopath; you won’t “know” yourself. Remember to also give it a few sessions and that sometimes the day or two after is always the worst due to toxins being moved. Don’t give up! You will feel “human” after it, believe me. Blessings from Australia and happy healing! 😁🙏🌷

He went to a friend of him who was a chariopractor seeking pain relief without sufficient image diagnostics. The poor man ended with a dislocated fracture, he was brought in my shift in the ER with tetrapareses,, paralyzed from the neck down. Because of his medical preconditions, an emergency surgical intervention was also avoided at the time and he died in 3 days due to respiratory failure.

    I still use a cane 2 canes to walk, but if it hadn't been for my chiropractor for the last 9 years, I wouldn't be able to walk at all. I wouldn't be able to work, and I would be deavastatingly disabled. Every Doctor I go to says, 'stop seeing your chiropractor', and I say, "Why?" 'he's the only one who ever touches me, helps me, and he has kept me being able to work!

      No lie My chiropractor and I became close friends over the years just from all the conversations and years I been seeing him and straight up he told him doctors and chiropractors don’t really agree with each other ideologies and ways of doing things the Guy hates hospitals 😂

      @@sparingchaos9778 they refer about the fact that doctors don't do anything these days, touching is part of diagnosing, you can't just telepathically see what's going on with someone. Which is what doctors tend to do

      I know. It’s funny and not ha ha how doctors don’t touch you or really examine you. I went to the doctor for thigh pain. I went in the examining room and no one told me to undress to expose my thigh or anything. The whole exam was through my pants and took no more that 5 minutes.

      Yup! Me too. I found relief, though temporary, with chiropractors. It's more than I can say about doctors and surgeons.
