Best instructions ever!!!! We went out a little while and got up on the second time with no tower!!!! Thank you!!!
Love it! Great to hear! Nice work
There are a lot of these videos out there.
This one is the best
Thanks D! Means a lot bc I know there's a bunch out there for sure!
This is a fabulous video. My 12 year old watched it and got up the first time.
Billy, tell your 12 year old "right on!"
This explains everything I was doing wrong so effectively I'm at a loss of words. The experienced guy on the boat was giving the tip of keeping the board half way out of the water to get out, however he never followed this advice. regardless, i'm ready to get back out there and try this again!
Thanks for watching B!
I was told this too to keep it out of the water 😤 im trying this video lesson
Thank you soooo much! I tried wakeboarding for the very first time and I couldn’t get up for the life of me (following instructions from a friend). I was sore for almost a week and just felt like trash. Then my husband sent me this video. I watched it multiple times so I’d be sure to remember. Today was our first day back on the water and I was standing IMMEDIATELY!! I rode 4 times and each and every time I was up quickly and easily. I naturally went goofy but I think I’ll try regular next time we go out. I plan on studying your other videos next so I actually know what the heck I’m doing once I’m on top of the water. I was always scared of wakeboarding and have preferred tubing but not anymore! I just wanted to let you know your videos have helped so much and I really appreciate it. Thank you!
What a great message and testimonial! So great to hear Taylor. I'm going to pass this along to my buddy that partnered w me over 20 years ago and helped me produce the Detention Series. We wanted to get more people up and progressing on the water and this is such a great reminder. Keep enjoying your ride! Thanks!
I am goofy too 😊
Hi Shaun I got my 5 year old son up yesterday and had him watch your video right before he tried. We have been working at in the pool a little bit waiting for the water to warm up so he was ready and popped up first try! He actually listened and stayed in his little ball! Take a peek at the video I posted of him if you have time.
Cheers bro you're an inspiration!
That is awesome! Checked out the vid and he crushed it!
Wakeboarded once in my life and couldn’t get up. Watched this video 1 time and was able to get up 2nd try today. dudes a god
Right on Aidan! That's what I'm talking bout! Not the god part but the gettin up part:)
@@Shaun.Murray I knew it was you! It was cool seeing you at OWC yesterday, rock on man!
I keep telling people this but they wont listen! This is a great tutorial video., everyone should watch this before trying their first time. Maybe they will listen to Shaun.
So glad I found this video, 2 seasons of using so much energy trying to get up. 1 day of doing this and was able to double the amount of time I actually got to spend on the board!
Love this feedback Scott! I should use this as marketing somewhere!
Shaun Murray...YOU ARE THE MAN ...im 55 years old ,ive tried wakeboarding several times in my life and never even came close to getting up..i watched this video 5 times in the last 2 weeks while i was waiting for my board to be delivered....i went out today and got up on the first try , the board literally was flying under the water like you described and i was able to get right up ...thank you , thank you , thank you.....
John! So good to hear! Pass it on and let's help others have a good experience. Enjoy your ride!
This dvd was a life saver when I was trying to learn how to ride several years ago. This is the BEST advice for getting up presented in the simplest form I have ever seen. Great instructions from the greatest guy in the sport
Thanks GA!
Got up first try as did both my sisters! Best video!!
Love it! Have you seen the newer one I did?
I failed to stand up on a couple of my first tries. What I failed to realise is that you literally need to sink the board a bit, which at first seems counter intuitive. But as shown in the video it just floats back up. great tips man! just waiting for the summer now so I can try again
Love the feedback! And please pass along the concepts to people you know who ride bc it's such a common misconception that trips so many people up. And you're right. Very counter intuitive.
I am so glad I stumbled upon this. I tried two weeks ago and couldn’t get up until I saw this video. After watching this I tried this technique and I got up right away.
Love to hear that Joe! This is why I put these videos together. Thanks for the input
Thanks man after so many times doing it wrong 2 trys with this method and got up
Most important part of the video that y'all must remember in order for everyone's safety is, PULL DOWN YOUR SHORTS 😂
HA! classic wally. Keep an eye out for a new video that he may just have an appearance:)
Oh wow, I had the original on VHS who knows how long ago. Hilarious and useful video.
Great video! Can’t wait to try it next time we go out!
Awesome/ can’t wait to try again
For people that are use to water skiing this video is all you need to see!
Thanks for that Trey!
This is the best
Thanks Liang!
Great meeting you at Orlando Watersports Complex a few weeks ago. I’ll be there again on December 1st. If I see you again, I’ll say hi. 🤟😊
Wont be there Sat but will be there the following Mon-Wed with boat lessons. You still in town then?
Unfortunately for me...no. Some friends of mine (musicians) are reuniting for one night only (The Kill) so I only get to ride on Saturday and a couple of hours on Sunday, then it’s back to Atlanta. I’ll coming down again in January sometime so I’ll hit you up then and see if you’re riding. The weather down there is amazing. 🤟😊
Maybe see you in Jan @@curtisclark13
Shaun,
Great video, thank you! The concept of being planed makes perfect sense. Huge question... I'm a surfer who tried wakeboarding, and getting up was super easy, but I pointed the board straight at the boat, and when the boat took off, I popped up instantly. The guys said I did it wrong. But I got up easily 100% of the time... How can that be wrong? Are they right? Am I learning bad habits that I'll need to un-learn?
As someone who both gets up on one to slalom ski, and who snowboards, I can’t/or couldn’t for the life of me get up the way this video shows…(maybe I could now after seeing the video) but why bother when I find it so easy to get up the same way you do, with my board pointing at the boat… I wish I hadn’t wasted so much time and energy, trying to get up the traditional way…
Great tips from the KING! 🤙🏻
My board has fins
How does he know I got pasty white thighs 😰
Oh oh
