    One of the tools I keep handy when delivering in crazy areas is keeping a screwdriver handy makes a great weapon if that doesn't work my ruger lcp max with 12 rounds of hollow points is better when night I stand by the trl tandems so no one can crawl under

      It varies depending on how many.loads you have... I would say 12 but could be 14 to 16 back down to 10 or 8... but I would say 12 average

    I really enjoyed the loading rack part of the video it reminds me of back in the 80s when i hauled gas. I know there have been changes since then but it still is about the way i did it to. The deal with the stop not holding all of the load happen a lot when i was driving .The only difference was the company i hauled for had several stores in the same area and we could take what didn't fit to another store and drop it . Your videos bring back a lot of good memories of my days of hauling gas it was a lot of fun but its also a dangerous job that most people don't realize not only the driving but the hauling and loading of the product. Really enjoy your videos

    I sometimes don't leave comments. The reason why is because someone is always using everyone platform to scam people. But I do enjoy your videos. Rusty sounds great. Now do they have to still pay for that fuel they ordered when there tanks too just 1/2 of it. Be safe out there can't wait for the nxt one.

    Interesting video. In MD, DC and VA, you are not supposed to be but so many feet away from the discharge valves when unloading for immediate shutoff in the event of overfill or spillage. Common practice was to use a station tank chart when sticking the tanks to ensure the product will fit. If it won't fit, you don't drop the compartment that won't fit that way you know how much you loaded in it and the station won't be charged for the gas that wouldn't fit. Also, does your trailer have a compartment with a double bulkhead for loading diesel on a gas load. In my experience the last compartment had a double bulkhead so the diesel wouldn't heat up the gasoline next to it and cause it to Ignite. In my experience the old Mobil stations had a veeder-root tank monitoring system and we could call the station, get the tank readings to ensure what they ordered would fit or alter any product that wouldn't fit by 200 gals and add that amount to the other products. Most loads would be 8500 to 8800 gals of gas or 7500 gals of diesel or jp4.

    Michael, I would call that turning and burning. You don’t mess around. You keep the left door shut and get down the road. Stupid question time, what are you measuring when you stick the tanks? Is that the difference between before and after? Must be but I’m not sure I never really asked you to just now.

    What is the long bar that is above your load/unload caps that u lift up and push back down? Some kind of safety bar so valves can’t open while u driving?

    • @Life-On-18-Wheels
      @Life-On-18-Wheels  Год назад

      Yea it is a safety / break bar.... when I lift it.. it opens up all the vents on trailer and sets the breaks on trailer and when I put it down it closes everything off and realeases breaks.... if that bar ain't down that truck ain't moving...
