Another thing with the spamton fight, when the song goes "Nows your chance to be a big shot!" When he glitches at the end where it sounds like hes saying big shot like 20 times at once, but he actually sais "Hy- Hyperlink blocked"
The supposed secret lyrics fit Spamton's tale pretty well. Whoever was calling Spamton stopped calling him, so his sales started to go down. He was going to be evicted from the queen's mansion, hence "they're coming for me". He called his mysterious friend and hoped that they would pick up so he could be saved, but they didn't. The swatchlings came for him and kicked him out.
Could fit pretty well with the one line that goes something like "WHAT? KRIS!! NO!!!! I CANT GO MYSELF!!!! THE MEN INSIDE WOULD / THE MEN INSIDE WOULD / THE MEN INSIDE WOULD/"
Why is no one talking about the fact that Kris ACT´s for the first time on his own in a battle in the snowgrave route: The dialod box at the end of SPamton NEO´s Boss fight reads "KRIS called for help" the first few times until "YOU call[...] for Noelle"!!!
The Pipis are the same as the pottery in that room on the normal route, which is why they interact with all the party members. (Toby Fox wanted to troll us)
There's a few videos out that make the voice in Big Shot much clearer. *BIG SHOT [ISOLATED VOCALS] by Floppi* and *BIG SHOT mumbling voice isolated by introC* 1. (some)thing is coming for me, answer the phone 2. (I) can't explain it til you're all alone 3. (it) pulls the string(s) and make(s) (them) ring 4. can't tell you how much it's ringing [phone ringing sound] 5. (some)thing is coming for me, (some)thing is coming for me /repeating 5. answer the phone, answer the phone, Mike /repeating 6. pull-pull-pull the strings and pull the strings and 7. tell me what you're really (selling) 7. don't you want to be a big shot [phone ringing sound] The repeating numbers are lines that play simultaneously, although for 7 the second line actually interrupts the first a little. So it becomes "tell me what you-nna be a BIG SHOT". I have high confidence this is what it's saying or _very close_ to what it's saying.
if you ask me about noelle's animation differences, the smaller pupils thing is probably actually her looking down because she doesn't want to look the enemy in the eyes knowing what she's about to do to them. when she's getting ready to "melee", i imagine she looks at them because she's actually paying attention to them now that she's been given orders to make a move.
Maybe pipis are like Spamton's equivalent of the eggs you get from the mystery man but instead of being full of Spamton heads, the eggs from the mystery man are full of... I don't know, memoryheads or something. I wonder if Spamton was about to say "There's nothing to fear except Gaster." but he was suddenly turned off & had to reboot just like how the game turns off when the player tries to name a character Gaster in either game.
As someone explained in the comments, the lyrics to BIG SHOT are on Spotify: "Think it's coming for me, answer the phone I can't explain 'til you're all alone He pulls the strings and make them ring Until your heart turns red! Think it's coming for me, answer the phone. (Think it's coming for me, answer the phone.) I can't explain 'til you're all alo- o- o- o- He pulls the strings and (pulls the strings and) make them ring TELL YOU WHAT YOU [BIG SHOT]!" The lyrics are provided by some company called Musixmatch, so I'm not entirely sure how accurate they'd be. They seem to allow users to submit their own lyrics, so either some fan has supplied them with these lyrics, or they came from Toby himself.
@@vencedor1774 In the end it says "Do you want to be a BIG SHOT!"(I mean thats like the most clear part) so this lyrics are from a guy never played the game or from a ai trys to understand wtf song saying
I do know one Set of lyrics we can confirm "He pulls the strings and makes them ring" Because in his fight in the diolog it says "Pulls the strings and makes them ring"
99.9999% of the other interpretations are pattern-stamped trash based on social cohesion. He literally never mentions breaking up or asking you what you're selling. Nobody mentions that Spamton got Determination from Gaster because they're too busy making surface-level connections with stuff we already know. Think of something for me- into the phone (asking Gaster for help when determination's side effects cause degeneration and screaming into the phone out of desperation) Hand played until you're all alone (explicitly proven when talking to the adisons, but easy to infer. He pushed away his peers showing his true face after getting success) Pull the strings and make them ring until your heart turns RED (spamton projects a lot. The player is already red so this advice is for himself. This confirms that darkeners can have red hearts if given determination) Couldn't identify the last line. Tell me what you ???. It's likely similar to the first line with the sentence being overwritten with another.
@@omegahaxors3306 Em… I agree with the first, but really? Gaster, DT? you made one more generic theory of the bunch, I never understood why by simple easter eggs that do not confirm anything the fandom began to relate Gaster to anything
with the no eggs on snowgrave route remember how on snowgrave neo spamton says 'there will be no more magic. no more miracles. you lost it when you went too far. you lost it.' and darkerners from other dark worlds like lancer and rouxls seem to turn to stone faster on snowgrave it seems the player warping things and making their choices matter is damaging the dark worlds connections. thus why the egg isnt there- when you can get it, even though its in the cyber world it has a tree from field of hopes and dreams.
"It pulls the strings and make them ring" could be talking about both the player and/or Gaster. If it's Gaster he's talking about the "make them ring" could be referencing also the phone calls in which Spamton talked with Gaster.
8:42 when they talked about isolating the left side of the vocals, they were talking about the high pitched garbled noise thats right before the loop, not the lyrics everyone hears different stuff from The right side is just the dummy theme
Okay so this took me forever because when I moved youtube actually got suspicious of my computer suddenly jumping halfway across the country and locked me out of my channel, but! This user (ruclips.net/channel/UCK7qZkJWpFI-2MGMT2HVslQfeatured) V.G. tried to comment with this link: (drive.google.com/file/d/1owSC1BRFscvBYe0HtPzyAVrSpfY1vTDb/view ) which clears up the audio even more. Gonna add it to the description but thought I'd post it here too in case the description is being a butt. Quick Disclaimer on the name "Weird Route" (Yes this is copy pasta'd from the other video) I'm getting a lot of comments on the fact I call this "The Weird Route." I feel it's important to keep a few things in mind here... (spoilers for the alternate routes of both Undertale and Deltarune below) First, routes don't really have "official" names. "The Snowgrave" Route IS the most popular name for this route, but it's not "the correct" name anymore than "soda" is the only correct term for fizzy beverages. That said, while there isn't an "official name," the game does have to label the code related to this route somehow, and pretty much all the code in game refers to this as either "weird route" or "b-side route." So if there were a "correct" name, it'd be one of those. The name "Snowgrave" is also a bit of a spoiler for both the nature of the route and the route's most climactic moment. If I'm going to give a "spoiler warning" for the alternate route, it would be counter productive to spoil said route in the same breath. "But wait!" I hear you say, "What about the Genocide route! That's not the name in-code! And isn't it a spoiler?" Both very fair points. The name in code is usually "murder" route. The problem is, in the early days of Undertale, it was hard to communicate using that name, because players would "murder" the monsters directly in their path, and be confused when it didn't provide them with the unique route. The name implied false information, and led to confusion. "Genocide" while controversial, is sharp and direct. It communicates to the player that you don't mean "the route where you don't show mercy" or "the route where you fight." You are referring to a route in which you go out of your way to hunt every last monster to extermination. While "Weird route" is less popular, and hardly a set of instructions, it doesn't cause the same problems in communication, as no one is going to mistakenly believe they "did the weird route," at most they'll ask for clarification. It would have been smarter of me to explain the disambiguation at some point in the video though, that's my bad. All that said, I'm not trying to shame anyone for using the name "Snowgrave" route. Like I personally love that name, and use it in casual conversation pretty much every time. But I do try to be mindful about spoilers in my videos, since I personally love discovering things myself and hate it when others don't permit me that same courtesy. ... Okay sorry for the paragraph, carry on beauties, gentle-beauties, and friends beyond conventional attraction.
Calling it the Weird route also makes the most sense in my opinion. The entire point of Deltarune was that your choices don't matter. Even if you wanted to do a "genocide" route in chapter 1, you couldn't. None of the darkners would die, just run away. So having the option to actually kill everyone and have it matter in this game is...well, weird. So the name weird route fits. However, I will forever be calling it the Pipis route bc yes.
Wait a sec, did you say the Weird Route is also called "B-side" in the code? "B-side" is the term for the optional harder levels in Celeste. Celeste is, essentially, a game about a girl's battle with her own, negative side. There are fan theories that Madeline, the main character in Celeste, may actually be subconsciously trying to kil, or at least harm, herself at certain points in the game. And get this: Celeste's composer was Lena Raine. Lena was a Toby Fox fan before making Celeste- I've heard some of her remixes of UT/DR music. "In the Mirror," from Celeste, has a section where the percussion sounds almost like "Here We Are," from UT. Also, "In the Mirror" is famous in the Celeste world for having hidden lyrics (not distorted, just reversed). Given all this, I wonder if Toby and Lena aren't longtime friends exchanging ideas. But even more intriguing is that Toby calls the Weird Route "B-side." Is that a hint to Deltarune's story? A story about dealing with your evil half?
I think the vocals are: "I think hes coming for me answer the phone. Cant explain until youre all alone. (x2) He pulls the strings an makes it ring until your heart cant stop breaking up." "He pulls the strings and pulls the strings and tell you what you [[BIG SHOT]]" Explanation: Pretty much someone (I think either G or everyman) is coming for him, and he tries to call his friend, mike, who he can explain what is happening until he is sure he is alone. Spamton explains about whoever is chasing him pulls the strings and makes you insane. Mike however, is not there and spamton gets caught by the guy and goes insane. After spamton tells his story in the fight, he starts breaking up and glitching out back to a sales man.
At 4:26 you said that the snow globe background resembles castle town a lot. But if you defeat both Jevil and Spamton you get a shadow crystal for them. Once you interact with it it says that can see both the class room and the computer lab. So maybe depending on how the story goes shadow crystals and maybe the concept on portals will be important later on in DELTARUNE.
This video and others about the vocals in spamton’s themes have really made me realize just how bad I ears are at distinguishing/ understanding words because I can recognize that there are lyrics in the songs but I genuinely cannot hear words at all, and I’ve kinda always been like that when I’m trying to understand a voice that isn’t clear and articulate or I’m not able to look directly at their face and read lips to figure out what’s being said.
ok, same. the ONLY words i can kind of make out from that are "strings" and "ring", and those are probably the most universally agreed on of those lyrics
* 8:32 ... for the last line of that, i hear "tell me why i am being dismissed!" instead of "tell me what your really selling" or "dont you wanna be a [big shot]?" * honestly considering spamton's backstory, it makes sense for him to say this.
My take on the lyrics: There’s multiple voices, do I’ll write them separately. Section 1: “1: Think it’s coming for me, answer the phone. I can’t explain ‘til you’re all alone.” “2: You’re all alone.” Section 2: “1: It pulls the strings and makes them ring.” “2: Pull the strings and make ‘em ring.” Section 3: “1: Until you’re heart starts to break apart.” “2: it’s breaking up.” Section 4: “1: Think it’s coming for me, answer the phone. I can’t explain ‘til you’re all alone.” “ Think it’s coming- It’s coming for me, answer the pho-o-o-o.” Section 2: “1: It pulls the strings and makes them ring.” “2: Pull the strings and pull the strings.” Section 3: “1: Don’t you want to be a big shot?” “2: But we had a deal!-“
The lycris could be an backstory from Spamtons POV when he was about to get throw'd out of the room he tried to contact the guy who called to him but couldn't, this would match with the words one of Spamton's friends where he tried to visit Spamton one day but couldn't find him also mentioned about Spamton's phone being in the middle of the call, which means character that contacted with Spamton picked up the phone but too late or their conversation got disturbed by Queen's Butlers (Probably when Spamton did not had enough money to pay for his room and Queen ordered to throw Spamton out)
actually we have 2 yellow at Junkyard. 2 blues, 2 yellows, 1 pink and 1 orange. also there was supposed to be 7th, Red Addison, who is mentioning MIKE HOCK
"Hidden Dialogue in the Big Shot Song!" I hear this (every time i re-listen this i hear different lyrics...) "I think he's coming for me, answer the phone. I can't wait/explain? until you're all alone It/He? pulls the strings and makes them ring Until your heart gets ripped off/out/up Tell me what you Really selling/Big Shot?"
3:36 Re:Idle sprites To me, it looks more like Noelle is looking down in the weird route, and looking straight ahead in the normal route. Keeping her eyes down, avoiding eye contact and all that.
All I can hear is: "Please Mike, answer the phone. Please, I can’t be all alone. Pull the strings and make them ring. I’ll tell you how much it’s ringing! Please Mike, answer the phone. Please, I can’t be all alone. Pull the strings and- Pull the strings and- Tell me what you're really selling!"
I hear "Please Mike, answer the phone. Please, ha ha ha. Pull the strings and make them ring, to tell you how much they're ringing. Please Mike, answer the phone. Please, ha ha ha. Pull the strings and pull the strings and tell me what you're really selling!

I think he's coming answer the phone I can't explain til' you're all alone He pulls the strings He pulls the strings I'll tell you what you BIG SHOT!
I hear "Please mike answer the phone Please, hahaha Pull the strings and make them ring Don't you want to be FREE? Please mike answer the phone Please, hahaha Pull the strings an- Pull the strings an- Don't you want to be a BIG SHOT?
I personally hear: Please Knight answer the phone Please I'm completely all alone Pull the strings and make it ring (it's too much it isn't ringing!) Please Knight answer the phone Please I'm completely all alone So pull the strings and- Pull the string and- Tell me what you're really selling!
7:22 introC has a very clean version of it. ruclips.net/video/IyFukA2M21c/видео.html And...can you believe that the end of the File Version of Big Shot was just a hint at the first 2 lines of what he's saying in the mumble dialogue section of the song? It says, as most people now agree, "I think he's coming for me, answer the phone," (or "They're coming for me, answer the phone,") "I can't explain until you're all alone," (These first two lines are present at the end of the File Version, which is insane.) "Pull the strings and make em ring," "until your heart can't keep breakin' up!" (or "Until your heart keeps breakin' up!", one or the other, who knows) "I think he's coming for me, answer the phone," "I can't explain until you're all alone," "Pull the strings and-Pull the strings and-" "Tell you what, you BIG SHOT!" (Funnily enough, before seeing that video, I was convinced it was "Hey, come on, we can figure this out!")
What i hear in the isolated lyrics: I think he's/it's coming for me answer the phone i can't explain until you're all alone it pulls the strings and make them ring until your heart starts to break up i think he's/it's coming for me answer the phone i can't explain until you're all alone pull the strings and pull the strings and [Insert interpretation because mine doesn't make sense]
I wonder if the worst run actually requires you to spare everyone you aren't able to kill at the time so they'll be in your town so you can kill them later. I wonder if it'll be possible to kill darkners in the arena in your town at some point by hitting them with Snowgrave or the twisted sword.
Idk why but for some reason the isolated vocals in BIG SHOT just creep my out and I don’t know why, I know that spamton is supposed to be kinda unsettling, but for me it kinda goes into the territory of absolute shock and horror, like, it you aren’t supposed to hear it, like it isn’t really “real”, even in the context of a fictional story, it almost gave me chills, it’s suck a strange sensation that I can’t really describe It almost kinda gives me a tone of paranoia in a sense Edit: I also get a subtle feeling of kind of a fear and a weird sense of “guilt”? Idk it’s just a melting pot of emotions and it adds just that feeling, and some more emersion
The slowed down audio for the left ear is just the beginning part of the vocals that play in the middle of the track. What’s weird is the fact that it’s not included in the youtube version, only in game. It took me by surprise the first time.
I reckon the isolated [[BIG SHOT]]!!! lyrics are: I think it's coming for me, answer the phone, can't wait until you're all alone! Pull the strings and make it ring, Don't you wanna be [[BIG]]??? I think it's coming for me, answer the phone. Can't wait until you're all alone! Pull the strings and pull the strings and tell you what, you [[BIG SHOT]]!!!
Hmmm…. I wonder if the pipis collision has to do with controlled characters vs. npcs. So, something I notice when you collide with an enemy NPC in Undertale that’s not in deltarune, your soul does a little flashing thing before starting the fight, indicating that it may be triggered by collision with the soul, and in encounters where you fight after dialogue, the soul still does the movement. I think perhaps the encounters here are not triggered necessarily by Kris running into enemies, but very specifically the soul we use to control them. Now if that were the case, considering the pipis (being a megaman reference) come from our puppet friend and may thus be controlled by him/the same forces as him, pipis are simply a controlled force colliding with a fightable NPC, same as we are.
Fingers coming, answer the phone A hand that waited till i was all alone It pulls the strings and makes them ring And- till your heart- starts BREAKING OFF! Fingers coming from inside the inside the phone and A hand that waited till i was all alo-o-o-o-O-O It pulls the strings and- pulls the strings and- TELL ME WHAT, YOU BIG SHOT!
regarding the mumbling vocals in [BIG SHOT], i actually found this video of somebody isolating them, and it’s insanely clear: ruclips.net/video/IyFukA2M21c/видео.html it’s insane on how clear they made it i’m impressed
please knight (mike) answer the phone pulls the strings and make them ring (the "pull the strings and make them ring" part would make sense because it is in the dialogue.) I think the last part is "Tell me what you [[BIG SHOT]]!"
my attempt at deciphering BIG SHOT's lyrics: "please [mike/knight] answer the KROMER {phone} make the ringing stop" (I hear hands on the top but those words have little meaning in that order and context, also they rhyme so maybe I'm just mishearing) "pull the strings and make them ring- don't you want to be free?" (I think “don’t you want to be free” might’ve been said during the encounter chain before the judgement hall in undertale too which is interesting) "please [mike/knight] answer the phone make the ringing stop, pull the strings and make them ring [can't tell you how much it's ringing/can't take all this waiting] pull the strings and- pull the strings and- tell me what [you're/we're]- BIG SHOT {really selling}" [something/something else] = can't tell which one it is (blah blah blah) = my thoughts/notes on this section {lorem ipsum whatever other bs latin words} = it's said but almost drowned out by spamton's shouting
Does anybody know how does combat affect Noelle's Boldness stat? Not just in the Weird/Snowgrave route, but in general. Does it increase after a certain number of battles, and keep doing so every x battles, or does combat have no effect on Boldness?
That was actually cut content in this video. I was looking at the stat screen after each battle and cutscene, but backtracking and killing, or going to the Freezering room then backtracking and killing, changed the data in a way that was very hard to get a handle on. My "tentative" conclusion is this: Coldness raises when you kill enemies, but not every enemy and not every time. Some enemies raise it faster than others and once it reaches 100 it caps. Boldness raises in relation to how far you are in Snowgrave plot. Certain milestones and cutscenes cause it to change. It starts at -12 and ends at positive 12. When boldness changes it seems to be by multiples of 3. Someone somewhere probably has better documentation on this than I. I did not eyeball the code on this and have not* tried freezing enemies outside of snowgrave and then checking the stats.
@@HalfBreadChaos I had a look at the Deltarune Wiki to see if that had any information, and it had something on Noelle's other stats. Coldness starts at 47, and raises by 7 each time Noelle uses Iceshock, up to the cap of 100. Boldness is a formula based on a variable (Plot Value x 3 -222) with a cap of 100, which makes me wonder if there is a way of raising it above 12, or maybe some of the code Toby Fox used for Coldness and Boldness are the same. Actually, do you know if skipping the first mouse puzzle increases Noelle's Boldness?
I hear "they're coming for me, answer the phone, can't explain until you're all alone ha-ha-ha Pull the strings and- pull the strings I'LL TELL YOU WHAT YOU BIG SHOT. I believe spamton and Mike are arguing, like Mike is just listening and not answering to spamton on the phone, cuz Mike can't explain until spamton is all alone(for some reason). Spamton gets mad or something and tells him that he's always pulling the strings behind his back. Mike says "I'll tell you what you big shot" and hangs up. Then the garbage noise starts playing
This is what the lyrics actually are: Fingers coming from the ends of the phone A hand plays with you all alone It pulls the strings and makes them ring Until your heart gets ripped up Fingers coming from the ends of the phone A hand plays with you all alone It pulls the strings and pulls the strings and Tell me what you're really selling!
I wouldn't say they are the actual lyrics. Like now we know they are much different but we will never 100% know unless we get like, a direct translation from tobby. So I don't think anyone should say "THIS ARE THE *ACTUAL* LYRICS", y'know?
You can read the lyrics of Big shot in spotify, on the laptop its the mic icon, and on the phone you can just see them by opening the song I'm full screen
fun fact: when you listen to HEY EVERY !! or A REAL BOY for long enough, it sounds like someone is saying "Part of the buisiness, SPAMTON!". Might just be me though.
Please Knight, answer the phone Please don't leave me all alone Pull the strings and make them ring Can't tell you how much its ringing Please Knight, answer the phone Please don't leave me all alone Pulls the strings and pulls the strings Tell me what you're really selling!
Depends on your motives, maybe I just wanted the Snowgrave spell? (there's no winning with fan-made names, especially when you post videos about it within days of discovery).
The full song (for me) is " think its coming for me, pick up the phone, cant explaing till youre all alone, think its coming for me X2 (background audio "answer the phone" X2) Tell me what you BIG SHOT"
I think he’s coming for me answer the phone I cant explain until your all alone Pull the strings and make them ring Until your heart starts Your braking up! I think he’s coming I think he’s coming for me answer the pho-o-o Pull the strings and pull the strings TELL YOU WHAT YOU [Big shot]
I think it’s, “I think he’s coming for me, answer the phone. I can’t explain ‘till you’re all alone. Pull the strings and make them ring. ‘Till your heart gets ripped up.” This is the over lap. I’ll try to make it clear, by putting them in the positions where the tracks would be in the audio. Voice 1: “I think he’s coming for me answer the phone Voice 2:………………………………………I think he’s coming Voice 1: I can’t explain ‘till you’re all alone Voice 2:………..…………………….can’t explain till Voice 1: pull the strings and Voice 2:…………………………….pull the strings I’ll tell you what you big shot!”
I'm just going to say personally I hear "Just watch it!" at the end of the voice clip, wich is similar to what he said to the Addisons before becoming a big shot
For Spamtons BIG SHOT theme i always heard "Please Mike, answer the phone, I cant spend another minute all alone. Pull the strings and make them ring, dont you want to be free?" It makes the most sense thematically to me, and is the most cohesive
"Please knight awnser the phone please hahahaha it pulls the strings and makes them ring! Please knight awnser the phone please hahahaha! It pulls the strings it pulls the strings! tell me what youre really selling!"
there are videos where the audio in spamtons fight is already broken down. If you care enough to search it you will find it easily. Just dont stop at the low quality breakdowns, there is a full breakdown where everything is clear and understandable.
@@HalfBreadChaos The keyword I think is "only". All monsters that have an encounter in the normal route can also be encountered in snowgrave, but pipis encounters are snowgrave exclusive (as in there are no pipis encounters in the normal route) unlike Tasque Manager or Mauswheel
@@HalfBreadChaos Well, Spamton and Jevil aren’t recruitable and they are in all routes. My guess is that since the pipis stem from Spamton, they cannot be recruited which could be indicative of his status??
No. They can't. You can literally use your teammates to block off an enemy from reaching Kris and triggering the battle, if you line them up right - because Ralsei and Susie can't influence overworld sprites, just like they can't take damage from overworld dangers and projectiles.
Alright, I was wrong. But I could've sworn that in the Werewire obstacle room in Cyberworld, Ralsei or Susie could trigger the battle coming in contact with the enemies. I guess I must've misremembered that then. I guess it just *seemed* as if they were the ones getting hit. EDIT: Just tried it, I was indeed being a big dumdum. Sorry for that.
Line by line analysis by what a heard Could not decipher the first line Can't play until your all alone Pulls the strings and makes them ring Tell you what you big shot
Well I hear "planning/playing to be your problem?(hahohohohoho)" it sounds like it was put through a voiceline creator or something like that. Very interesting...
“I think he’s coming for me answer the phone I cant explain until were all alone. It pulls the strings and makes them ring Until your heart keeps BREAKING UP I think he’s coming for me answer the phone It pulls the strings and makes them ring I’ll tell you what you [BIG SHOT]”
If you abort the Weird Route, then start fighting enemies, does Noelle stop getting stronger after the first fight she wins violently, with the same limit of getting stronger 20 times that Kris, Susie and Ralsei have, or does she keep getting even stronger, with no limit to her power?
What I here when I listen in Mike picked up the phone ch-ch-chilled him to the bone It pulls the strings and makes em ring Help me im dieing They don’t understand how it feels to be …mike.. are you there D-DONT YOU WANT TO BE A BIG SHOT Hahahhahaha
I heard "I think he's coming for me, anwser the phone, i can't explain until your all the same, he pulls the strings he pulls the strings- I'LL TELL YOU WHAT, YOU [BIG SHOT!]
I hear either: Please mike answer the phone, you've been with me all along pull the strings to make them ring, tell me what you're really selling!, Or Please Knight answer the phone, you've been with me all along pull the strings to make them ring, tell me what you're really Hiding!
In big shot I hear Please Mike come pick up the phone And I need you [static] to come alone Pull the strings and make them ring Pull the strings and pull the-(cuts out) Please Mike come pick up the phone And I need you [static](likely kris) to come alone Pull the strings and make them ring pull the strings and pull the strings and won’t you pull the strings
In BIG SHOT I hear Please, Knight, answer the phone Please Don't leave me all alone Pull the strings and make them ring Do you want to be free and then at the end Just tell me what you're really selling
Hidden dialogue seems to be: I think he's coming for me Awnser the phone, I can't explain til we're all alone. He pulls the strings, And makes it ring, Can't tell you how much its ringing! I think he's coming for me Awnser the phone, I can't explain till we're all alone, He pulls the string*S-* He pulls the stri*NGS-* *TELL ME WHAT YOU'RE REALLY SELLING*
at the last part i'm pretty sure it's saying "don't you want to be a big shot" and "tell me what you are really selling" at the same time so like tell me what your your- [big shot]
Well, Onion tells you that somewhere underwater, a SONG is playing if you set him up to appear again in Chapter 2. The bunker obviously will lead downwards, presumably into a large complex if it's something similar what some towns have IRL, which is a disaster shelter. It's completely possible that said bunker goes underneath the lake. Back to the original purpose of this post. Onion says that it (the song) is familiar, and that it's heard the song before, but can't quite remember what it was. The sounds you hear in front of the bunker are the Entry 17 sounds (In Deltarune, it's the sounds your phone makes when trying to make a call in the Dark World, dubbed "garbage noise" by the player) slowed down by 666%.
Because it's not Kris, it's us as a player, it wasn't Kris who forced her to do Snowgrave, it was us, the player
@@Nyasiu so because we did it we dont talk about it? I mean, its the first and only time we are told that Kris does something...

The Pipis are the same as the pottery in that room on the normal route, which is why they interact with all the party members. (Toby Fox wanted to troll us)

There's a few videos out that make the voice in Big Shot much clearer.
*BIG SHOT [ISOLATED VOCALS] by Floppi* and *BIG SHOT mumbling voice isolated by introC*
1. (some)thing is coming for me, answer the phone
2. (I) can't explain it til you're all alone
3. (it) pulls the string(s) and make(s) (them) ring
4. can't tell you how much it's ringing [phone ringing sound]
5. (some)thing is coming for me, (some)thing is coming for me /repeating
5. answer the phone, answer the phone, Mike /repeating
6. pull-pull-pull the strings and pull the strings and
7. tell me what you're really (selling)
7. don't you want to be a big shot [phone ringing sound]
The repeating numbers are lines that play simultaneously, although for 7 the second line actually interrupts the first a little. So it becomes "tell me what you-nna be a BIG SHOT".
I have high confidence this is what it's saying or _very close_ to what it's saying.
damn it is the totheark guy
if you ask me about noelle's animation differences, the smaller pupils thing is probably actually her looking down because she doesn't want to look the enemy in the eyes knowing what she's about to do to them. when she's getting ready to "melee", i imagine she looks at them because she's actually paying attention to them now that she's been given orders to make a move.
As someone explained in the comments, the lyrics to BIG SHOT are on Spotify:
"Think it's coming for me, answer the phone
I can't explain 'til you're all alone
He pulls the strings and make them ring
Until your heart turns red!
Think it's coming for me, answer the phone.
(Think it's coming for me, answer the phone.)
I can't explain 'til you're all alo- o- o- o-
He pulls the strings and (pulls the strings and)
make them ring
TELL YOU WHAT YOU [BIG SHOT]!"
The lyrics are provided by some company called Musixmatch, so I'm not entirely sure how accurate they'd be. They seem to allow users to submit their own lyrics, so either some fan has supplied them with these lyrics, or they came from Toby himself.
I'm most likely to think it comes from toby

"He pulls the strings and makes them ring"
Because in his fight in the diolog it says
"Pulls the strings and makes them ring"
99.9999% of the other interpretations are pattern-stamped trash based on social cohesion. He literally never mentions breaking up or asking you what you're selling. Nobody mentions that Spamton got Determination from Gaster because they're too busy making surface-level connections with stuff we already know.
Think of something for me- into the phone (asking Gaster for help when determination's side effects cause degeneration and screaming into the phone out of desperation)
Hand played until you're all alone (explicitly proven when talking to the adisons, but easy to infer. He pushed away his peers showing his true face after getting success)
Pull the strings and make them ring until your heart turns RED (spamton projects a lot. The player is already red so this advice is for himself. This confirms that darkeners can have red hearts if given determination)
Couldn't identify the last line. Tell me what you ???. It's likely similar to the first line with the sentence being overwritten with another.

remember how on snowgrave neo spamton says
'there will be no more magic. no more miracles. you lost it when you went too far. you lost it.'
and darkerners from other dark worlds like lancer and rouxls seem to turn to stone faster on snowgrave
it seems the player warping things and making their choices matter is damaging the dark worlds connections. thus why the egg isnt there- when you can get it, even though its in the cyber world it has a tree from field of hopes and dreams.
MysteryMan:"You know what? No, you don't get my eggs anymore, you are ruining everything!"
"It pulls the strings and make them ring" could be talking about both the player and/or Gaster. If it's Gaster he's talking about the "make them ring" could be referencing also the phone calls in which Spamton talked with Gaster.

Quick Disclaimer on the name "Weird Route" (Yes this is copy pasta'd from the other video)
I'm getting a lot of comments on the fact I call this "The Weird Route." I feel it's important to keep a few things in mind here... (spoilers for the alternate routes of both Undertale and Deltarune below)
First, routes don't really have "official" names.
I’m pretty sure the Spamton plush has the vocals fully isolated
Wait for it...
I think the vocals are:
"I think hes coming for me answer the phone. Cant explain until youre all alone. (x2) He pulls the strings an makes it ring until your heart cant stop breaking up."
"He pulls the strings and pulls the strings and tell you what you [[BIG SHOT]]"
Explanation:
Pretty much someone (I think either G or everyman) is coming for him, and he tries to call his friend, mike, who he can explain what is happening until he is sure he is alone. Spamton explains about whoever is chasing him pulls the strings and makes you insane. Mike however, is not there and spamton gets caught by the guy and goes insane. After spamton tells his story in the fight, he starts breaking up and glitching out back to a sales man.
At the end I hear “I THINK HE IS COMING FOR ME PLEASE ANSWER THE PHONE I CANT EXPLAIN TIL YOU’RE ALL ALO-OOO-OONE
I always hear the last line as “Tell me what you bigshot!”
Imagine if they formed the snow globe that Noelle is in? Idk just a fun idea
* 8:32 ... for the last line of that, i hear "tell me why i am being dismissed!" instead of "tell me what your really selling" or "dont you wanna be a [big shot]?"
* honestly considering spamton's backstory, it makes sense for him to say this.
* also uh 8:57

“ Think it’s coming- It’s coming for me, answer the pho-o-o-o.”
Section 2:
“1: It pulls the strings and makes them ring.”
“2: Pull the strings and pull the strings.”
Section 3:
“1: Don’t you want to be a big shot?”
“2: But we had a deal!-“

"Please mike answer the phone, hands on the top, pull the strings and make em ring and tell me what you're really selling" is what i hear

I wonder if the worst run actually requires you to spare everyone you aren't able to kill at the time so they'll be in your town so you can kill them later. I wonder if it'll be possible to kill darkners in the arena in your town at some point by hitting them with Snowgrave or the twisted sword.
Idk why but for some reason the isolated vocals in BIG SHOT just creep my out and I don’t know why, I know that spamton is supposed to be kinda unsettling, but for me it kinda goes into the territory of absolute shock and horror, like, it you aren’t supposed to hear it, like it isn’t really “real”, even in the context of a fictional story, it almost gave me chills, it’s suck a strange sensation that I can’t really describe
It almost kinda gives me a tone of paranoia in a sense
Edit: I also get a subtle feeling of kind of a fear and a weird sense of “guilt”? Idk it’s just a melting pot of emotions and it adds just that feeling, and some more emersion
I can't explain it until you're all alone.
Still odd that this doesn't apply to any other bullets or enemies on the overworld, at least not that I'm aware of. : p

(I hear hands on the top but those words have little meaning in that order and context, also they rhyme so maybe I'm just mishearing)
"pull the strings and make them ring- don't you want to be free?"

My "tentative" conclusion is this:
Coldness raises when you kill enemies, but not every enemy and not every time.

I believe spamton and Mike are arguing, like Mike is just listening and not answering to spamton on the phone, cuz Mike can't explain until spamton is all alone(for some reason). Spamton gets mad or something and tells him that he's always pulling the strings behind his back. Mike says "I'll tell you what you big shot" and hangs up. Then the garbage noise starts playing

@@QuintetMagician On PC there's a little microphone icon in the lower right hand corner, so there might be something similar on mobile?
It’s fan lyrics
fun fact: when you listen to HEY EVERY !! or A REAL BOY for long enough, it sounds like someone is saying "Part of the buisiness, SPAMTON!". Might just be me though.
i heard "please mike answer the phone hands on the top, pull the strings and make them ring, till your heart goes pop..."
Please Knight, answer the phone
Please don't leave me all alone
Pull the strings and make them ring
Can't tell you how much its ringing
Please Knight, answer the phone
Please don't leave me all alone
Pulls the strings and pulls the strings
Tell me what you're really selling!
The weird route is clearly better known as just Snowgrave. Say what you will, but I say that if it's aborted, then it's just a remorse run
Depends on your motives, maybe I just wanted the Snowgrave spell? (there's no winning with fan-made names, especially when you post videos about it within days of discovery).
I mean Snowgrave is the turning point of this route, once you use it, you are stuck in it so fitting name I would say
@@PWLfr Not at all, I can get and use Snowgrave without being locked into the run. : P Just don't use it on Berdly specifically.
I think the first part of the vocals in BIG SHOT say “I think he’s coming for me, answer the phone. I can’t explain until you’re all alone.”
At the end of the vocals i hear "cant explaing until youre all alone" in the isolated left speaker
The full song (for me) is " think its coming for me, pick up the phone, cant explaing till youre all alone, think its coming for me X2 (background audio "answer the phone" X2)
Tell me what you BIG SHOT"
8:11
I hear "he is comeing for me, answer the phone. I can not explain till we're all alone. He takes the springs and takes the stings."
I think he’s saying:
Please mike, answer the phone
Hands on the top
Pull the strings and
Pull the strings and
Don’t you want to be a big shot?
Wtf is hands on the top
I think he’s coming for me answer the phone
I cant explain until your all alone
Pull the strings and make them ring
Until your heart starts Your braking up!
I think he’s coming I think he’s coming for me answer the pho-o-o
Pull the strings and pull the strings
TELL YOU WHAT YOU [Big shot]
I think it’s,
“I think he’s coming for me, answer the phone.
I can’t explain ‘till you’re all alone.
Pull the strings and make them ring.
‘Till your heart gets ripped up.”
This is the over lap. I’ll try to make it clear, by putting them in the positions where the tracks would be in the audio.
Voice 1: “I think he’s coming for me answer the phone
Voice 2:………………………………………I think he’s coming
Voice 1: I can’t explain ‘till you’re all alone
Voice 2:………..…………………….can’t explain till
Voice 1: pull the strings and
Voice 2:…………………………….pull the strings
I’ll tell you what you big shot!”
8:59 im getting: He's coming for me, (awnser) the phone. I can't explain until you're all aloneohohoh
The wierd route is also called the Snowgrave Route, so I always called it that.
I'm just going to say personally I hear "Just watch it!" at the end of the voice clip, wich is similar to what he said to the Addisons before becoming a big shot
I think the isolated audio is the difference parts of spamton talking at the same time. All the variations people hear fit. Just a thought.
For Spamtons BIG SHOT theme i always heard
"Please Mike, answer the phone, I cant spend another minute all alone.
ITS MIKE
This video Is legit awesome, I'm subbing
there are videos where the audio in spamtons fight is already broken down. If you care enough to search it you will find it easily. Just dont stop at the low quality breakdowns, there is a full breakdown where everything is clear and understandable.
this is in response to the more recent comments, not to this videos time of upload.
I know knight makes more sense for plot, but Mike makes more sense for fangames
There I said it who is gonna make a mike fight
You can't recruit pipis cuz they're only in snowgrave route.
You can recruit Tasque Manager and Mouse Wheel in Snowgrave route though.
What I heard for the left side was “they’re coming for me, pick up the phone Mike, I can’t wait till all our problems go away” but that’s just me
6:24 That's... absolutely not the case, at all. EVERY enemy encounter in the overworld can get triggered by your party members afaik.
I knew I should have included footage of me standing around letting enemies walk into my party members to no effect...
No. They can't. You can literally use your teammates to block off an enemy from reaching Kris and triggering the battle, if you line them up right - because Ralsei and Susie can't influence overworld sprites, just like they can't take damage from overworld dangers and projectiles.
But it is though
Alright, I was wrong. But I could've sworn that in the Werewire obstacle room in Cyberworld, Ralsei or Susie could trigger the battle coming in contact with the enemies. I guess I must've misremembered that then. I guess it just *seemed* as if they were the ones getting hit.
EDIT: Just tried it, I was indeed being a big dumdum. Sorry for that.
@@blobvisfan666 : P No worries, I appreciate you checking and getting back to us.
theyre coming for me pick up the phone i cant talk to you till your all alo-o-o--o-one is what i heard for 9:01
Please tell me that I'm not the only one who found out that "Deal Gone Wrong" sped up is "Spamton"
Line by line analysis by what a heard
Could not decipher the first line
Can't play until your all alone
Pulls the strings and makes them ring
Tell you what you big shot
9:02 I heard "they are coming for me, Paul [???]"
I hear " where are you taking me, Paul? [??? Maybe no no no no?]
Well I hear "planning/playing to be your problem?(hahohohohoho)" it sounds like it was put through a voiceline creator or something like that. Very interesting...
8:58 i hear:
Think it's coming for me answer/pick up the phone.
I can't explain with you until you all alone-o-o-o
“I think he’s coming for me answer the phone
I cant explain until were all alone.
It pulls the strings and makes them ring
Until your heart keeps BREAKING UP
I think he’s coming for me answer the phone
It pulls the strings and makes them ring
I’ll tell you what you [BIG SHOT]”
If you abort the Weird Route, then start fighting enemies, does Noelle stop getting stronger after the first fight she wins violently, with the same limit of getting stronger 20 times that Kris, Susie and Ralsei have, or does she keep getting even stronger, with no limit to her power?
What I here when I listen in
Mike picked up the phone ch-ch-chilled him to the bone
It pulls the strings and makes em ring
Help me im dieing
They don’t understand how it feels to be
…mike.. are you there
D-DONT YOU WANT TO BE A BIG SHOT
Hahahhahaha
Forgot to put
He’s coming for me hohoho
I heard "I think he's coming for me, anwser the phone, i can't explain until your all the same, he pulls the strings he pulls the strings- I'LL TELL YOU WHAT, YOU [BIG SHOT!]
I hear either:
Please mike answer the phone, you've been with me all along pull the strings to make them ring, tell me what you're really selling!,
Or
Please Knight answer the phone, you've been with me all along pull the strings to make them ring, tell me what you're really Hiding!
9:02 i hear:
They are coming hohoho
for me they are get you all
In big shot I hear
Please Mike come pick up the phone
And I need you [static] to come alone
Pull the strings and make them ring
Pull the strings and pull the-(cuts out)
Please Mike come pick up the phone
And I need you [static](likely kris) to come alone
Pull the strings and make them ring
pull the strings and pull the strings and won’t you pull the strings
In BIG SHOT I hear
Please, Knight, answer the phone
Please Don't leave me all alone
Pull the strings and make them ring
Do you want to be free
and then at the end
Just tell me what you're really selling
Kind of what's actually in the song, you can always search up BIG SHOT isolated lyrics.
i hear something different
i remember one part wich says "i cant explain until youre all alone"
@HalfBredChaos if you speed up the bunker noises it sounds weird
Speed it up by 666%
kinda sounds like a low pitched spamton laugh, though idk
it's the entry 17 gaster noises slowed down
(also plays when you call in dark world)
@@Lunarcreeper Yeah when I compared the two I realized that Toby Fox has a plan. He always does.
This was discovered 3 years ago peeps
Hidden dialogue seems to be:
I think he's coming for me
Awnser the phone,
I can't explain til we're all alone.
He pulls the strings,
And makes it ring,
Can't tell you how much its ringing!
I think he's coming for me
Awnser the phone,
I can't explain till we're all alone,
He pulls the string*S-*
He pulls the stri*NGS-*
*TELL ME WHAT YOU'RE REALLY SELLING*
at the last part i'm pretty sure it's saying "don't you want to be a big shot" and "tell me what you are really selling" at the same time
so like
tell me what your your- [big shot]
@@Lunarcreeper tell you what, you big shot
Plot twist: the bunker leads to the underground and frisk is young kris
What
Theory
Personally I don’t believe that, but you can float your boat
Ok
Onion said they'd heard the song before, which could just be a fancy way of Toby saying "this is actually a song that was in Undertale".
Take this information/speculation as you will.
I have an idea for what the song might be saying
They’re coming for me answer the phone, I can’t tell you until your all alone
IT PULLS THE STRINGS AND MAKES THEM RING (as said from narrator in spamton fight) AND TELL YOUR HEART TO BREAK ‘EM!
They’re coming for me answer the phone I can’t tell you until your all alo *spamton laugh*
IT PULLS THE STRINGS IT PULLS THE STRINGS-
TELL YA WHAT YA [[BIGSHOT!!]]
*"ThEy're CoMinG fOr mE___GoTta sTaY Up AlL NigHt___CaN't ExPlaIn Ti'Ll YoUr alL AloNe-n-n-n."* Spamton G. Spamton (What I heard by replaying the clip over and over (Left side isolated))
