From what i heard from a friends and family you should swap to a ball bearing turbo which is what most of the gtrs and other Jdm cars swap too get the flutter with out blocking boost or spend the money on a hood bov
Well it puts more pressure on the Turbo . So it shortens the life of the Turbo . Which is fine if you dont mind spending the money on a new Turbo . These BOV are installed for a reason at the Factory .
It wears it out faster. Doesn’t put more pressure. Stock Td04 turbos are like $150 used who cares lol. And it’s not a bov it’s called a BPV “ Bypass Valve “ please use correct terminology before you try and tell someone stuff you have no idea about.
@@YTBazily well i plan on gettting it pass emissions right now. but i do have a few things, like one getting a frontmount on, bigger turbo (grimspeed overboost), get my full exhaust system on it, repaint and tint!
Hey mate, I have a gfb bov, If I turn off the atmosphere bov to zero would it bake the same flutter as you? And do I need a tune everything I chage the atmospheric bov? For example 50/50 or fully open ?
hey man! if you turn onto recirc you'll have the same as what I do yeah! With the tune side of things I don't think you should need to worry about it too much. A lot of my mates change between the two and they haven't ran into any problems. But I'm no expert with the tune side of things.
@@YTBazily what would be a nice clean setup?? I haven’t got my rexy yet but I want the rear thick but not thickkkkkkkkkk lol Maybe a 8.5-9.5 And what offset? +25-30
I honestly don’t think it is illegal? Not completely sure. I know a BOV is but I’m running a BPV and a block off plate so don’t think there are dramas. And you can’t see it anyways so they wouldn’t pick it. Been pulled over 10x times since having it on and not one has said a thing about it. Hope this helped!
Hey man, everyone always goes on about it, but if take some time to do a little bit of research you'll find its not harmful one little bit :) My recommendation is too look up how the whole turbo system works and from there it might be a bit easier to understand. But everyone is entitled to there own views :)

bro shouldn’t you of put the gasket on the other side of the block off plate, so it seals the intercooler?
Well ideally you would put one on both sides but either way. I mean yeah would make more sense your way but lmao
nothing about the video but your wrx is pretty. i love the hawkeye, i have one of my own and i have so many plans!
I appreciate that! They are awesome cars man! What have you got planned?!

Hey man did you need any modifications prior, I have a stock WRX and want too try this
Nah you can do it completely stock! It will just be very quiet! You can make it triple as loud if you have a aftermarket intake!
Worked amazing for me bro thanks
Awesome! Good to hear!

Don't forget to remove intake silencer or even get a cold air intake, otherwise you won't hear it at all, you can but it's very minimal.
Did this on my wrx and i dont get any noises 😭 what am i missing?
Hmm! You definitely should have the dose! No reason not to
is this change anything how turbocharger works?
Not on how it boosts in gear no but will slow/loose your boost into the next gear if you let off throttle :) won’t really notice it though I didn’t
What wheel setup are you running?
Work CR3P 18x11 +03 😝

@@YTBazily hey man how many mm are these
My 18x9.5 +35’s and 25mm spacers with 225/40/18’s got some poke and idk if I should buy 40 or 60mm flares?
Ok but... where is the Stututu??
is this safe?
Personally I think it is. Some people say otherwise :) just slows turbine down :) I ran it for 2 years and turbo is perefct
Okay, so its just enought to put the plate between the valve and intercooller yea?
@@ibeonmyown528 yeah that’s it :)
what happens if you get pulled over?
