Good video, Swish. Paolo seems like a really good kid, its wild how underappreciated he is. Hopefully he gets some shine (and some NTV cover) this season
As a cavs fan seeing the way that magic team reacted to being eliminated from the playoffs was something special. You can tell that team plays with passion
As a lifelong Celtics fan, I can say confidently that the Magic is the team in the East that I feel like can compete against the Celtics, mainly because of Paolo, but also because of their size and defensive tenacity
Remember that the Magic choosing him was a major surprise. Every mock draft and prediction had them taking Jabari Smith Jr. and Paolo going to Houston. They definitely made the right choice, and have been building well around him so far. Orlando is already a playoff team with a great perimeter defense. I think they will be the "OKC of the East", so to speak: very young and able to outlast the other big teams as they age over time.
The TV schedule is atrocious Adam Silver is destroying the NBA. 4:18 He cut off the top of the list where Lakers somehow have 39 nationally televised games (the most of ANY team in the NBA). More than the reigning champion Celtics and WC Champ Mavericks feat the league's scoring champ and prodigy player in LD. More games than Jokic with three of the last four league MVPs. Lakers are a perpetual play-in team and are barley above .500 for the last 4 years.
@adamwatson2132 OK. Let's never predict, estimate or have opinions ever again. We can't know for sure who someone is or how they'll turn out so let's just sit on our hands and wait
Do you want to know why ???? With everything you said was spot on but you missed with the hype train he wasn't the it. Zion it melo it Edwards made himself by personality it Cade had some decent chatter about him it Wemby it Paolo....who? I am not saying that to be disrespectful at all. He flew in under the radar so now they are leaving him out in the cold. You see what I mean that's why stats right now don't matter. And you said SGA well he to was in a controversial trade. Paolo didn't get some 40 year old woman drama, no guns, he didn't have his socials up. The game has officially gone to entertainment that's why Silver had to.......Stern. Straight mockery
Dwight and Tmac is proof people would watch if you’re raw enough, I never understood the hate for the market we have here in Orlando. We’re Central Florida, shiiiid I rather be here than either of the NY teams…paying those taxes?!?! MFs are lost. Glad Antman, joker and freak have proven you can be dominant in any market, espn is just obsessed with LA and NY🤦🏾♂️
I didn't watch a single Paolo game until the playoffs. I literally thought he was Brazilian because of the name so i was surprised when I heard him speak American English. I loved his interview and demeanor, he is so humble and so hardworking. I am rooting for him hard.
2:12 I think the most disrespected #1 pick is Kwame Brown (2001).. if not, it could be Michael Olowokandi (1998), or Greg Oden (2007), or Anthony Bennett (2013)
Kwame brown wasn’t disrespected he just sucked and still hung around the league for 12 years with multiple teams trying to give him a shot to turn it around
Bennett the biggest bust in NBA history tho, Paolo's insane, Paolo should be getting credit for the player he is literally right away, didn't need no time to feel the league.
When he got drafted, I was hyped and ready to see homie ball out. No lie I be on Insta comments asking why there's no Paolo content lmao Hope to see more of him, he deserves more praise!!
Here’s the definition of flamboyant, since you seem to not know what it means: (of a person or their behavior) tending to attract attention because of their exuberance, confidence, and stylishness.
So basically Bronny has gotten more attention & promotion than Paolo from the nba. A 2ND ROUND PICK WHO SHOULD HAVE GONE UNDRAFTED HAS MORE EYES ON HIM THAN THE #1 DRAFT PICK EVER HAD
He gave me a positive vibes. Most favorite top draft pick through out these years. He is like an Hyundai Ioniq5, on screen you thought he is average size, but reality he is huge.
As a magic fan myself I love Paolo. Was definitely punching the air when we drafted him instead of Chet, but sure enough Orlando once again hit a home run with a number one pick, just as we always do
they did the same thing to devin booker. i know he wasn’t a number one pick but the treatment by the media was the same til cp3 came along. paolo will get that respect one day.
I'm a Celtics fan, so we meet up with Orlando a few times a season. I can genuinely say they have been one of the teams to give Boston the most trouble over the last several years. They are one of my favorite teams to watch cause they have so many exciting young players. Any real hoop fan know that Paolo is the real deal
I'm a magic fan, and even i didn't know or expect him as our pick (I had my own little tingus pingus moment), but watching him play I quickly grew to respect and love him as a player. Damn good, and we're the same age!
I have to agree. This man went out a dominated won rookie of the year made the all star and led his team to the playoffs and barely gets talked about lol. All good tho because there’s videos like this out here which shows you people know he’s that guy.
I was just getting back into the nba when Paolo was drafted. I looked at his player profile and watched a few of his college clips. I’m a magic fan so I watched the first game from his rookie season he scored 27 and hit a nasty poster I knew he was going straight to the top, but where I live no one knows who he is.
To be fair with the win percentage thing: it also helped for the Magic that their guards Jalen Suggs and Markelle Fultz majorly evolved their games that season.
As a lifelong Cavaliers fan, watching Paolo be single handedly the ONLY reason the magic took the cavs to 7 games he was phenomenal.. at times he was the best player IN THE SERIES & this was his 1st playoff series... the Paolo disrespect is insane & he's got such a likeable personality... His time is coming. He's up next, & this is coming from a LIFELONG Cavaliers fan... I give credit where credit is due
People were lookin go forward to Wemby draft for a couple years so when Paolo got drafted it makes sense he was overlooked. People were just trying to fast forward to the Wemby sweepstakes
This facts. Folks slept on my mans and Orlando then cried about good basketball not being anywhere to be found. Suggs cried when they got eliminated and it made me fw em even more cause it was obvious they cared and that's more than a lotta guys can say these days.

Meanwhile every time I check his box scores he's inefficient and even his numbers aren't impressive. He was a respectable first pick even though Chet was the best of the draft simply because the 22 draft was weak. Paolo wouldn't have been the 2nd best in most years.
He's literally averaging 28 PPG, 9 RPG, 6 APG, on 48% FG and 39% 3PT... How about watching the games? @@coughfee_beans
@@coughfee_beans He's averaging 29/8/6 this year already champ. I'd say his numbers are pretty great.
@@yayz9442 Yes, as I said, he's alright. He had one great game and a few bad ones. That great game has righted the ship but if he doesn't keep it up then all his numbers, including his efficiency, will go back down. It's simply logical to count the odd one as a fluke so far. I wish him the best, hopefully it becomes his new normal or at least he plays above average for so far he has played as well as a role player. Many bad games with a great one from time to time.
@ “alright” lol you’re clearly just kind of a hater
Paolo got no pressure, so he could just ball.
I like it.
This is best for him, n he going creep up HARD°
As a Magic fan, I’m glad you brought this to light. People need to put some respect on Paolo’s/ the rest of the team’s name. Paolo is HIM
Great vid man. I’ve been saying he’s lebron and melo for the longest. It’s a crime how underrated he is
As much as a Celts fan, I do want them Magic to go at least the second round this year. Just don't let them matchup with the Celts though 😅
Good video, Swish. Paolo seems like a really good kid, its wild how underappreciated he is. Hopefully he gets some shine (and some NTV cover) this season
The disrespect continues!!!
Don’t sleep on the cavs
@@andreheard6581 Na fr, the cavs are scary this season
Remember that the Magic choosing him was a major surprise. Every mock draft and prediction had them taking Jabari Smith Jr. and Paolo going to Houston. They definitely made the right choice, and have been building well around him so far. Orlando is already a playoff team with a great perimeter defense. I think they will be the "OKC of the East", so to speak: very young and able to outlast the other big teams as they age over time.
He is the modern Tim Duncan.
Beat me to it. but really, does anyone know where the hell is Tim Duncan now 😂
Woahhhhhh calm down kid
not even remotely the same type of player
More skillful than Tim Duncan, he also got a handle at 6 10
My fav player right now is paolo 🔥🔥💪🏾💪🏾 hope he gets the love and recognition he deserves 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🏆🏆🏆
Nobody will care about him until he makes a deep playoff run
thats crazy too he still aint getting that much coverage after becoming the 11 youngest player to drop 50 in a game
People still talk about Zion and he’s done jack shit
Finally!! Someone read my mind! Yes he is under appreciatied and hats off to victor and ant for praising Paolo.
He’s so good yet so underrated. He’s going to be so good keep working Paolo.
Swish finna make this exact same video about Risacher in 3 years
Disrespectful comparison. Role player vs Star
You have absolutely no idea what Risacher is and neither does anyone else. We 3 games into the season
@adamwatson2132 OK. Let's never predict, estimate or have opinions ever again. We can't know for sure who someone is or how they'll turn out so let's just sit on our hands and wait
@ this comment was never about his ability. It’s purely about the fact that no one cares about him lol
well spoken dude with tons of research and facts, I like it.
Then Paolo gets injured...
Ive been telling my boys to watch this kid, in his rookie year, he was playing like a role playing vet, bro has talent fr fr
I think his dad is Italian and mother African American , He is from Seattle, played one year with Duke
i knew this was about paolo lol
Congrats on being able to see the thumbnail
@@cormacmacaongusa i actually only got the notif and didn’t see the thumbnail

This is incredibly spot on. Literally every preview podcast I listened to acted like this guy was peaked and washed. He's real!
Bro he was awful
Bennett the biggest bust in NBA history tho, Paolo's insane, Paolo should be getting credit for the player he is literally right away, didn't need no time to feel the league.
When he got drafted, I was hyped and ready to see homie ball out. No lie I be on Insta comments asking why there's no Paolo content lmao Hope to see more of him, he deserves more praise!!
7:33 “Flamboyant” ???????💀
Here’s the definition of flamboyant, since you seem to not know what it means:
(of a person or their behavior) tending to attract attention because of their exuberance, confidence, and stylishness.
@@DLA. u think the crowd that has to say pause after every sentence gives a fuck about a definition?
Thank you for this video, we’ve been saying this in Orlando
So basically Bronny has gotten more attention & promotion than Paolo from the nba. A 2ND ROUND PICK WHO SHOULD HAVE GONE UNDRAFTED HAS MORE EYES ON HIM THAN THE #1 DRAFT PICK EVER HAD
He gave me a positive vibes. Most favorite top draft pick through out these years. He is like an Hyundai Ioniq5, on screen you thought he is average size, but reality he is huge.
Forgot about this dude😭
As a magic fan myself I love Paolo. Was definitely punching the air when we drafted him instead of Chet, but sure enough Orlando once again hit a home run with a number one pick, just as we always do
He just looks weird. Doesn’t look good on tv. You don’t wanna market that.
Franz Wagner is a big reason for Orlando’s recent success as well. He’s a beast. That draft class for Orlando with these 2 was 🔥
Y'all are overrating this dude way too much lmao, yeah he's good and he'll be a perennial all-star but come on
Stay sleeping
Lowkey
@@cormacmacaongusa Zzzzzzzz
Glad someone with a platform out here praising this man.
they did the same thing to devin booker. i know he wasn’t a number one pick but the treatment by the media was the same til cp3 came along. paolo will get that respect one day.
swish you got the best videos in the nba youtube-sphere hands down, salute
And he was seriously popping off this season before his injury, and hopefully will get right back to it when he's back
These are facts. This man is LETHAL and severely underrated…and I’m a Mavs fan. I hope he continues to be great
I can sadly say I also have been forgetting about Paolo until now hes a Legend in the making!
Glad I’m not the only one recognizing his talent. He put up 36 b4 the half last game. Kids gonna be great
I'm a Celtics fan, so we meet up with Orlando a few times a season.
Great video and very informative. Paolo is definitely underrated. When he gets some help there watch out.
I have to agree. This man went out a dominated won rookie of the year made the all star and led his team to the playoffs and barely gets talked about lol. All good tho because there’s videos like this out here which shows you people know he’s that guy.
as a basketball casual, i don't see any coverage on that magic. i hope this video reaches more people like me. awesome video!
First time checking iut this channel and i love the presentation. Kind of like a twin spirit with FlemLo on the NFL side.
Watched the Jokic video and now tho one and got me to subscribe! Good stuff!
nba media is so weird for not giving him the spotlight but u can tell he really got heart and finna ball out no matter what
As a lifelong Cavaliers fan, watching Paolo be single handedly the ONLY reason the magic took the cavs to 7 games he was phenomenal.. at times he was the best player IN THE SERIES & this was his 1st playoff series... the Paolo disrespect is insane & he's got such a likeable personality...
The fact that Paolo would suffer an injury that’ll put him out for 4-6 weeks a day after this vid released is so 😭
I thought he was out indefinitely
This facts. Folks slept on my mans and Orlando then cried about good basketball not being anywhere to be found. Suggs cried when they got eliminated and it made me fw em even more cause it was obvious they cared and that's more than a lotta guys can say these days.
Orlando fan. First vid I seen from you, automatic sub
