      He might be very good but he has no star power. No it-factor. This is entertainment at the end of the day. Cade Cunningham..same thing. No it-factor. Matter of fact…there are no dudes with that it-factor of Iverson, Jordan, Kobe, Shaq, Magic..etc. Edwards tries too hard and is corny. Wemby? Nope. Luka? Nope. No one cares but fanboys. The ratings fall every season because these dudes are goofies that just happen to be tall. The Paolo guy cried over a regular game. That’s not passion. That’s tender.

      @@marcelmarshall4240 may be a bit harsh, but I can see your point. For guys like Paulo, cade, etc. They just don't have that star prowess to them. I'm sure they'll get their allstar selections and all nba, but neither guy seems like they can consistently be the number 1 option on a championship team. And that's after me watching this dude drop 50 on the pacers. I can see them peaking as a number 1 option on an unsuccessful team, or a number 2 on a championship team. Vibes like siakam level at their peak.

    • @marcelmarshall4240
      @marcelmarshall4240 Месяц назад +7

      @ Exactly. Siakham-level. They are not stars. They are just tall dudes that play ball. Nothing SPECIAL. Special ALWAYS yields increase in attention. Viewers. Look at Caitlin Clark. They called her special. The ratings went through the roof because she lived up to it…and I am not a fan of WNBA. It’s weak basketball, but their star increased ratings..not decreased like the last ten seasons in the NBA.

And there have been 100’s of Forwards better than Banchero. Do I need to list Duncan, Malone, KG, James Worthy, Bird, McHale, even dudes like Chris Bosh…and on and on. These guys are not special. He's currently averaging 9 reb and 7 ast in the last 40 games, on top of 28 ppg. I mean the dude can run an offence, he can score and he's doing it from the 3/4. Before I watch this, Swish i was at that game Monday my boy and Paolo is DIFFERENT. Carrying that team offensively. He’s 21, and he’s so skilled. He knows how to use his body so well (pause) it’s crazy. He’s unselfish too, he was out there really trying to get his teammates involved (and they don’t really have a PG, Suggs is a great defender, but not a great playmaker or even shooter, and Cole is honestly not good). But then the last couple of minutes he realized he needed to take over and easily started drawing fouls and finishing the game strong… i really don’t throw around this word. Meanwhile every time I check his box scores he's inefficient and even his numbers aren't impressive. He was a respectable first pick even though Chet was the best of the draft simply because the 22 draft was weak. Paolo wouldn't have been the 2nd best in most years.

They definitely made the right choice, and have been building well around him so far. Orlando is already a playoff team with a great perimeter defense. I think they will be the "OKC of the East", so to speak: very young and able to outlast the other big teams as they age over time.

    The TV schedule is atrocious Adam Silver is destroying the NBA. 4:18 He cut off the top of the list where Lakers somehow have 39 nationally televised games (the most of ANY team in the NBA). More than the reigning champion Celtics and WC Champ Mavericks feat the league's scoring champ and prodigy player in LD. More games than Jokic with three of the last four league MVPs. Lakers are a perpetual play-in team and are barley above .500 for the last 4 years.
